This is because we are using patched programmer to edl flash, and there is no proper way to fix it. let it sit for 5-10 minutes on fastboot then try again. And writing urgent doesnt do sh*t, people on forums are not paid employees

After rooting my phone the wifi is not working anymore no matyyhow i clock wifi on its keep turning off i try to reset factory data nothing change pleaseeeeeee guys help me
Hi,
First thing I'd do is to reset it to it's original state and thus unroot it.
Does that bring Wi-Fi back ?
Then I would re-root to se if that turns Wi-Fi off again.
If so , then it seems the unrooting has problem somewhere... I think I've seen that it implies playing with a modded kernel image or something like that. So it can easily cause problems.
If not then you probably unrooted it the wrong way first time.
Regards.
I had the same problem, fixed it by flashing the same boot.img that belongs to my os version (cn red magic 2.14).

Look up your build number in settings, mine is 2.14 as you can see in the screenshot.
Download the appropiate version you need from http://ui.nubia.cn/rom/detail/62
If you also have the China rom ofc.
Follow the root steps in the other screenshot.

Hi,
So if I get you right : I download the ROM for the Global version.
Once done I extract the boot.img and patch it with Magisk Manager.
And then I flash the patched file and it should be good ?
I'm going to try this right now

Hi,
Can you please tell me what version of the firmaware you're running ?
I think there are three of those :
- China
- North America
- Europe
To know which one you are running, just go to settings and at the very bottom "About this phone".
And there, at the very bottom, the version of the ROM used.
Without that info, I won't be able to provide the needed patched boot image.
I assume your bootloader is unlocked and you DID NOT install TWRP.
Regards.

So you have Chinese 2.14 version.
I'll see if I can find that boot.img you need.
Please note : I will return the device vbecause of it's really BAD software.
So I will not be able to help any longer after this

Greetings everyone,
I'm pretty new here to XDA and really hope you can help me out with this.
I've had my Redmi Note 10S for about a year now and well I think Xiaomi hates me now.
Recently when I went to Pisa for a holiday, my phone bricked after updating to MIUI 13.
It's stuck at the Redmi logo and will only lower brightness a little bit after it then reboot, recovery mode works but if I try reboot it's the same stuff and it won't even boot into safe mode.
I haven't modded the phone in any way but yea it literally bricked after the first reboot.
I have no backups (both Mi Cloud and GDrive and no local) but really need to try to copy files from rom to pc.
There's some important stuff that I've stored as screenshots and really need to get em.
There's a few things I want to make clear though:
-Again, phone was not modded in any way and no root/custom rom was on it
-Only updated through the actual GUI and downloaded the update like normal
-USB Debugging is enabled
-Bootloader is not enabled
-Only device with Debug permissions with my phone is a goddamn Oculus Quest 1 (don't ask me why but yea it's the only one that I had connected with it)
If someone knows in any way if I can recover my stuff through ADB on an android like device (my Quest 1) lemme know, if there's other ways please lemme know as well.
If there's no way that I can do it...well I'll just hope that wiping it fixes the issue.
Already tried contacting a Mi Authorized Center and the Xiaomi Italian Phone Number, they both said they won't be able to legally recover my data due to privacy reasons and gave me the middle finger by saying I should have paid for storage on Mi Cloud (outside of one guy on Live Chat that was actually very helpful even tho he said basically the same thing).
Sorry for the long post but please I need help.
Thanks in advance

only boot partition???? a bad boot flash, cause fastboot mode unavailble and a bootloop hard to solve
i say this cause i have encountered this big problem, after flashing a non tested twrp version posted on this forum
sure mtk can restore phone, but is not simply. some users have encountered problems with stock flashing, one of more easy procedure to do. mtk cli is much more difficult to leran
obviously mine is only a suggestion, everyone is free to do what they want, but if you damage the phone, don't say I haven't warned you
i think that share a guide without taking the necessary tests first, without specifying that it is an unsafe procedure, without including a guide on how to solve possible problems arising from this, it is superficial behavior

It doesn't work all the time.
They released an A12 rom in May and yours is from July in A11, surely some problem.
The solution that will work 100% is to unlock the bootloader to update and relock afterwards.
I have already unlocked the Bootloader. But stuck on what to do (not really) more like what file is the correct one to use.

It may be because bootloader is unlocked plus possible root that you are not getting updates.
You must use a fastboot rom(read my tuto).

U must do clean fastboot install to Global (this one).
U can try tapping few times on MIUI 12.5 Logo in settings to unlock advanced settings and select manually file to update, but I doubt u can update Japan version since they didn't release MIUI 13 Japanese version (the one you showed us in the picture).
So yeah, download global and do clean install (do some sort of backup if u must, I recommend Swift Backup), since you'll have to wipe data after clean fastboot flash.
Code:
After download extract until you have folder with "flash_all.bat" folder.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot reboot fastboot
^important to boot into fastbootD so u can flash system
run flash_all.bat
fastboot reboot recovery
wipe data
reboot
Hope this helps.

Where do you see it's a Japan rom?
V12.5.6.0.RKSMIXM is a global rom A11
Code:
After download extract until you have folder with "flash_all.bat" folder.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot reboot fastboot
important to boot into fastbootD so u can flash system
run flash_all.bat
fastboot reboot recovery
wipe data
reboot
"
Indeed, we can flash directly with the bat file included in the fastboot rom folder but it is enough to put the phone in fastboot mode without cmd with the button combination and the wipe data is useless since the command "flash_all.bat" format the data.
I'll try this. Thank you so much.
Where do you see it's a Japan rom?

but this is not a twrp bug... i think u have made a bad installation of windows drivers. if know how to install linux, do it.
second: u cant flash this twrp directrly like older phone. first i have to try boot into twrp, and after flash it directly from twrp. a/b devices dint have a static recovery partition, so flash a custom from fastboot is impossible
