I bought the phone a couple days ago, looking forward to using it! I wanted to know if there were any gamepad controllers like this: https://fliptroniks.com/5-best-gaming-controllers-for-oneplus-7-pro/ but for the 7t.
I had a Moga Hero Pro and it works fine on my OnePlus 7T.
Most of those should work on the 7T. Those seem generic and just rely on bluetooth for connection. Basically any non-iOS controller will work if it supports Dinput on bluetooth or USB (with USB-C OTG adapter).
XBOX Bluetooth works like a dream. im going to run a few test prints to attach the phone to it and will give you guys feed back later

Would any of the gamevice controllers work? The ones for the newer Samsung phones have usb-c, is that what I should get? I want something that I can play in public and not look stupid like those full-in controller ones.

Unless Gamevice makes a specific model that is labeled to fit the 7T, I would say avoid. I wouldn't know if the 7T's dimensions and port placement compare all that well with the Samsung Galaxy models, or the Pixels, supported by Gamevice.
Does it support wired gamepads?? can anyone confirm?

Who's using a bluetooth controller on their stock N7? Any suggestions on a particular brand ? I've got an older gamestop bluetooth controller that I used on my Prime tablet but I'm not sure it will work with Jelly Bean .
It's not out yet, but the Nyko PlayPads are going to be the best.
my post about them: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28821776&postcount=16
whole topic about gamepads http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1751822&page=2
At present I would say the Phonejoy or Datel Retro Wireless controller. Both can be made to be recognised by the system as native devices via Bluez IME and Gamepad Enabler, which means they will work with all the games that work with native controllers, as well as emulators. Won't be able to use touch emulation for games that don't support gamepads natively, that is Root required. If the Nyko ones can do that without Root that makes them pretty attractive, but they aren't out yet so depends on whether you want to wait.
EDIT: Ah, I missed the Tegra-exclusivity on those Nyko ones - likely makes these a waste of time for many (definitely me).

It is designed and compatable with all Tegra3 games but it does NOT require the tegra.
It's requirements are only any android device running 3.0+ and bluetooth. It does NOT require the Tegra3 but it is built and designed to instantly work with Tegra3 games, other games and other hardware may require manual setup (you can also download setups through their app)

I read those posts but thanks for trying to enlighten me anyways. I've tested the steel series ion at a convention last week ... just too darn small for me. I'm hoping there's a good controller available now that is confortable like the six axis but requires no rooting ...

if your looking for something big than the playpad pro may be good for you. same specs and abilities as the smaller one but on a larger scale. http://nyko.com/products/product-detail/?name=PlayPad+Pro
Thats a good controller for sure... but it will not be available until the FALL .- I need something now.
dude i hear ya. i've wanted something like that for my transformer for a long time.
i do want something now too, but i rather just deal with touch or wait until that comes out instead of spending my money now and later.
OnLive Universal Controller
Does that controller have lag still ? I've tried it before on my other tablet and the lag was horrendous....:crying:
Have you tried PS3 controllers?
I have always used PS3 controllers for my android tablets. I just purchased a chinese knock off bluetooth PS3 controller on eBay for under 18 bucks with shipping.

Does the ps3 controller work for the nexus 7?
yeah you just need the sixaxxis app from the play store to sync it up
I use sixaxis as well. I have heard great things about phonejoy as well.

PS3 controllers will work via USB OTG as well as wirelessly via Sixaxis controller. Wired use does not require Root, but is more limited (lacks touch emulation available via Sixaxis).
I have two iControlPads and they work great! I can connect both at once and get some SNES Street Fighter 2 Turbo action. Small enough to be really portable and can also be used to charge the tablet if need be. Battery lasts forever! Kind if expensive with shipping but worth it.

Cheap bluetooth controllers that are advertised to work for the PS3 can be had on eBay for $10-$30. However, is there a reason any compatibility issue should arise?

I don't want to spend $50 on a Sony controller if I don't need to.
IDK about those, but I personally use the tablet bluetooth controller from GameStop and it has always worked great

Just FYI, Sixaxis Controller doesn't (yet) work with 4.2. Hopefully it will soon.

I too would love to use my Sixaxis controller on the nexus 10.
So, do you think it's likely that it will gain support? Part of me was afraid that it is simply incompatible.
Be careful. In the past I tried ordering a lot of cheap PS3 bluetooth controllers, and really most of them were 2.4ghz infrared. I don't get why they do that, I think it might be a misunderstanding by someone who doesn't speak english as a first language and assumes bluetooth and wireless are synonymous. Also, those 2.4ghz ones can work for computer or PS3 because they have a dongle that lets them pair, but it looked horrible and didn't want to work with my phone (I think that was when I was using my GS2)
Gotcha. Funny how in the description for the more expensive controller I posted states it is 2.4GHz wireless, and bluetooth in a separate sentence. Going to message the seller just to verify. Otherwise, I'll probably grab a Sony controller or the tablet one during Black Friday sales.
Also, I'm aware SixAxis doesn't work yet. However, the developer stated he is working on a fix. I see no reason for it not to work with 4.2.

black friday sale, too with promo code SAVEFRIDAY gets you 20% off. probably the cheapest one you'll find.
There's also the pro if you want a bigger controller: http://www.nyko.com/products/product-detail/?name=PlayPad+Pro
We have lot of fake PS3 controller available in India so if i bought SixAxix Contoller app,
what if the fake controller isn't compatible???
Will there be chance for a Fake PS3 controller for being non-compatible??
Anybody using a fake controller and still got them compatible with Our awesome Note2!! :fingers-crossed:
Will you guys suggest me to go for an original one??
I was unaware of the extent of counterfeit controllers when I was purchasing a couple a few years back. You wont be superficially be able to differentiate between the two. Only on close inspection you could tell them apart.
So, it happened that both the controllers I bought were fake. And at that time the Sixaxis App did not support fake controllers and so I couldnt do anything with them.
But a few updates back they have started supporting few of the fake controllers (there are many types, different companies and ICs).
TL;DR Yes, fake controllers work. But I would any day prefer the original.

It really shouldn't make a difference at all.
As long as you change the Mac / bluetooth address of any controller then it will communicate properly (it should anyway).
I know the Sixaxis app in the Play Store said that only official controllers would work when I bought the app, but that was over 2 years ago. I'm assuming that's changed though, based on the previous replys in this thread. Either way, if given the option I'd much rather pay the extra money and get an official controller. If you already have a knock off, then let us know how it goes for you.
If you see a new in box PS3 controller on ebay for under $30, then it's a knock off. Like previously stated, some of the knock off controllers look almost identical. Most on ebay that are a knock off will say so in the description, but I've seen some that don't say whether they are or not. You just have to base your decision on the appearance and/or price.

Nice to hear from you guys!! One last question will all the fake PS3 Controller work with Sixaxis app???
Brands like Amigo, Red, and replica of PS3 controllers?
Did anyone bought them and is using it on Our Note2
Hi fellas,
My previous S4 was using MHL and it seems that not all MHL cables are compatible with all phones.
However, with the G2, I need to get a slimport-HDMI cable.
For those familiar with slimport, can I just go out there and get any one and be guaranteed that it will work?
There are many that are meant for the Nexus4. I'm betting those would most certainly work.
Those who got it for your device which works well, care to post a link to the product?
Thanks!

Well, I'm assuming Slimport is a better and more controlled standard than MHL so I hope any existing slimport adapters out there will work with our LG.
Like I mentioned, MHL wasn't the same for all...
Is their anything like Samsung's all share cast I'd like a wireless way to connect to tv.
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk 4
Slimport is in fact just a single "thing". Right now, you can only buy a single HDMI adapter or a single VGA adapter.....from Slimport. Even though it's a "standard", no other company makes the things -- at least I haven't found any yet. I bought my slimport adapter back when the Nexus 4 came to market.
Our G2's also support Miracast which I can confirm works with my Netgear PTV3000.

So I assume your slimport which you bought for N4 works for your G2 as well?
Yea the choices for such adapters are pretty limited right now.. and I gotta be prepared to fork out the cash for it.
Sadly due to how android works wiimotes are a no-go. However will Xbox or ps3 controllers work? Are there any you can clamp onto the tablet?

ps3 doesn't work wireless.
best option is a cheap blue tooth controller from game stop. those work just fine.
gamepad
check these out i have two they work great and they cost half the cost of a xbox or ps controller
it wouldnt let me post a link but google green throttle controllers..
whiles its on the pricey side @ $68.90 for just the controller, or $88.90 for the pro bundle (controller plus all accessories). I got the recently released Phonejoy and been doing great with it.....for emulators and Dead Trigger 1, it doesnt seem to want to work for other games that have moga support (The makers of phonejoy said that if a game uses moga then the controller would work), though that could just be the nook lol.
Hurry MOGA Mobile Gaming System for Android 2.3+ is $12 on clearance at Toys R Us! Ask to scan if not listed as a clearance item.
I'm on kitkat 11 4.4.4. Had the hardest time finding a controller that works with 4.4. Had to order a USB coupler and a csr4 BT adapter. Total on Amazon was $20. Haven't tried the ps3 controller but there are issues with the wiimote. It connects but my emulators won't accept it. On the other hand, I have this USB to gamepad converter. Works perfectly with my ps1 and GameCube controllers. I'd rather lose the wires but it's not a big deal.
