Custom rom or camera experience?

So I just wonder what do you prefer...Do you use custom rom or stay in OOS due to camera/other reasons?
Also I would like to ask you how much worse is camera in custom roms I have not tried yet and dont have the time right now

camera sucks in most custom ROMs, but there are a few that have OOS camera working with portrait mode, and i have a hard time telling the difference between them and stock

Running PureFusion and the camera seems perfectly fine to me :/

I've been using the Google Camera with HDR+ and have been very happy with.

Hey please can you share the settings for GCAM with HDR+ ..I am getting blurred out of focus pics from it

This is what I have it set at
Model- Pixel 2
Config HDR+ - Nexus 6
The rest is default
And I'm using MGC 5.1.014 All in one

Nokia 8 camera app for moto g5 plus ( potter )

recently I have uploaded the MI A1 camera app . Which was taking better photos. With fast capturing and focusing speed.
This time I am uploading the Nokia 8 camera app.
I have tested the camera app in stock. It was taking very good hdr pictures. Better than mi a1 and also stock camera.
It was capturing good front camera pictures. With white flash screen.
Bugs : you tell me.

Can You Port Arnova's Gcam or Camera NX with a Stable Portrait mode with Focus?

Yeah true... Doesn't work for me either.. on PE

Works on stock but I can't see any difference to stock camera app pictures, with HDR on.

Tap to focus clearly. Then capture. It worked for me.

I Can confirm that hdr pics are way better than stock cam in low light and less noisy too. Thanks bro for providing this app.

This needs camera 2 API to be activated or rooted?
I'm looking for a better way to take photos but almost every way i found seems to require custom ROMS, camera 2 API enabled, etc. Phone is under warranty and i can't mess with the system at all...

No APIs are needed. Works flawlessly on the stock ROM.

Working Perfectly on Stock Rom. Normal Photos are Batter than Stock Camera app thanks... @Anonymous

there is a bug when i'm trying to take a picture with front camera. Stuck on white flash screen. It has to do with beautify mode.

works good. but when i click photo with front cam with beauty features on, it shows an error code 708.

Works like a charm on my Moto Z Play (7.1.1)

Sorry didn't meant to hurt you in anyway, i am glad that you're here i appreciate your efforts. I just installed the deodexed stock nougat rom and gonna try this, oneplus and google camera with camera2api enabled. :laugh: :highfive: :good:

Gcam with night sight for Mi A2 !?

Could someone tell me without some version of gcam with night sight for Mi A2?

Arnova's latest has the option I think. But it's just a placeholder. Doesn't actually work.

Hey guys. I finally got gcam working. But in settings I can only see front camera 5 megapixel. How do u get the 20? As well will back camera take 20 megapixel or just 12 Max? Thanks

Use the search function. Gcam mods have max 5 megapixel front and max 12 megapixel rear. For further details as to why, search a bit please.
And by the way, the 5 megapixel front pictures from gcam are several times better than the 20 mp front camera pictures in indoor lighting conditions.

I am about to purchase this phone, but counting on the use of GCAM because the native of these Chinese does not always do a good job, today I saw that the parrot has released an AWB support version for samsung sensors present on this phone. Only if works great on the phone, photo, night sight and portrait in rear and selfie cameras haha. In AWB mode have the option for this samsung main sensor, GW1 if i remember.

Can you post some samples against the native? Configs it's activate hdr+ and use 32 frames in advanced settings and setting the pixel awb mod to Samgun GW1

For a first test, everything is working except the slow motion. It forces closing.

Can't install it (global rom)
Edit : work after uninstall gcam 6.1...
- can't select more than 26 frames HDR+ enhanced (with more, no photo)
- can't use "sabre" (crash)
- you can select awb Samsung but I can't see better quality with it.
Finally, I prefer 6.1 gcam at this time

Can you show some samples of this two version of gcam and the native, it's good to our see the results and compare.

Gcam has hdr enhanced
Stock is aldo hdr

I find the gcam to produce much more accurate colours to what i see in real life. And has better depth. Whereas the stock tries to smooth out everything

The problem with Gcam is that currently it works only for the main camera and the front one...

You already try the urnyx version ? if works you can use telephoto and ultra wide.

This gcam is not very good for x2 pro. The photos are very bland and all color, saturation and others options do nothing when you change it.

Hope that the Indian Release will give visibility to this awesome device.
