Yes ,

did you try disconnecting and reseating the screen ribbon cable? Look at the port see if you bent any pins? It's possible that while replacing the usb board you damages the screen ribbon or tugged it enough that it became semi unseated under the metal bar.

messed up power / mini usb plug

I think I messed up my plug on the bottom -of my Kaiser. I have to wiggle the cord to get it to charge. Anyone have any experience with working on these or replacing the plug ?
USB connector
Call HTC repair center. They are going to make you pay to replace the mother board as the USB connector is attached to it. They charge around US295.00 so I do not think you messed it up but is not working anymore?.....
Oh something else they will keep your messed up mother board maybe for other repairs...

[Q] Phone casing prevents proper microUSB plug-in

Help guys. Do appreciate a little help here. I have a phone cover for Galaxy Note and it covers it perfectly except a little problem with the opening of cover at the microUSB area. The hole over the microUSB area is not properly cut. It means that whenever I would plug the microUSB wire into the port during charging, it wouldn't fit perfectly. However, the battery still indicates that it is charging eventhough the microUSB charging wire is only plugged into the microUSB port halfway.Battery always charged to a 100%. My question is could plugging the microUSB wire halfway into the port damage the phone in anyway while it's charging? Thanks.
Not likely, but there is a chance it might damage the phone. Since it's not properly inserted, some connectors might hit wrong pins, especially when moved.
Probably best to just take the case off for charging.

External power supply via pin connection

Unfortunately my USB Micro connector is defective.
For what those connectors are? (see picture) https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7_llVOMX6GVfkZPVVpveDZVelZjSm1KOTNTQ0NRR3VGUDZ0RHdDczZfQkJGeE1rZkE2dEk&usp=sharing
Can I connect an external power supply to this?
A voltage of 5 V I attach the left pin and the center pin
Greetings uzzoo
With battery door removed & looking into the back with the 3 pins in the bottom left the left most pin is +5v & right most pin is ground ...
It was used with the original htc car dock which had a rear cover that contacted those pins & would charge phone & detect in cradle & switch to car mode.
I tought those were for a second battery.... xD Nearly soldered one on there before i found this.
Do you know what the middle pin is responsible for?

I can only charge when cable is at an angle

Hello,
Is it possible that my USB c port is already broken?? I can only charge my phone when the cable is being pushed downwards and my headphones are not working or maybe adapter
Do you guys have any tips on how to fix it or I have to take it to the service center
And yes I tried another cable
Have you actually looked into the USB c port? There is probably some dust or lint in it. Use some compressed air to try get it out. Or if you don't have compressed air try a tooth pick but be VERY careful. If there is no dust or lint it's probably broken.

connector replacement

Hi,
a few days ago, my good old Nook HD+ stopped charging and my PC won't detect it as well. When connected to powerbank/PC, only green light shows on besides charging connector.
It's most likely caused by corrosion in connector. I've bought two replacement cables, both of them don't work.
I've dissasembled my Nook and measured resistance between USB wires and matching pins on connector on motherboard. Power pins seem to be fine, but one of data lines had about 0.5 higher resistance than the other. I've tried cleaning the connector carefully with IPA and toothpick, but that didn't help.
Question is, what are the options? Is it possible to buy replacement connector?
If not, has someone tried replacing connector with microusb, that is by cutting and rerouting traces on motherboard so that it matches micro USB connector? I don't really care about HDMI/audio functionality, all I need is charging and file transfer.
I've placed motherboard into cheap ultrasonic cleaner with IPA for a few minutes and that fixed the issue. Connector works as before.
Only side effect of repair is, that my nook stopped booting CM 10 from SD card. But that another unrelated issue.
