I need my moto G5 Plus to be recognized on windows with serial (COM port).
I have a motorcycle E and as soon as I turn it off and connect in Windows already activates the COM port (number) but this Moto G5 Plus does not activate.
It is calling normal (goes into fastboot mode, adb), I need to reprogram it using QPST but as it is not recognizing there is no way to use it.
what I already did:
-> enabled developer mode
-> enabled debugging option
-> I entered BP Tools mode (this one appears in the device manager asking for some drives, but no driver I have downloaded from Motorola accepts, in Moto E accepts in MOto G5 Plus no).
Any options besides these to allow Windows to recognize it as serial (COM)?

I'm trying to get this bionic to work with my straight talk sim. Could anybody help?
Droid Bionic on Straight Talk
The way I did mine is after I used RadioComm v11.12.2 I used RSD Lite to flash back to Stock ROM and not it reads the Straight Talk SIM Cards I had to do it twice but in the settings it still says unknown network but it works fine I am running T-MO on Straight Talk line.
I had to do this twice:
First... make sure you have Moto drivers 5.4.0 (or newer)
installed on your PC. Install RadioComm (I used 11.12.2).
The first time you do this and use Radiocomm, you will be
prompted for other drivers to install, let them.
Boot Bionic, connect USB cable, put in PC MODE
Start RadioComm
select Main -> MA -> Common -> MDM 6x00 chipset base
select settings -> USB -> USB PST Driver
select the FTM Common1 tab
Try the buttons at top to read Version and MEID, if response
is GREEN, you can proceed. If RED, there is likely a driver
error that you need to resolve. (If drivers are correct,
you should see moto usb networking listed under NETWORK
Adapters in Windows Device Manager). Possible ways to fix
driver issue...
1. re-install Moto 5.4.0 drivers and reboot PC.
2. reboot phone (remove/replace battery if possible).
3. when connecting phone to PC, ensure its connected in PC MODE, not USB Mass Storage, Charge Only or other...
in the NVAccess drop down, select 1877 click read.
should show 07000000000000000.... change the first characters to... 8703E80400000200
click write
exit radiocomm
disconnect phone
power phone off, insert Non-VZW SIM, and power up.
Hello,
I'm on CM13 for Honor 4x Indian version. My problem is that if I enter into the diag mode by entering the command 'setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb' with sudo privileges the QPST doesn't show the phone as connected.
After the entry of the above command I could see the Qualcomm driver 901D detected by the device manager of Windows 10 lappy. On opening QPST I could see the port getting populated which is same as the port detected by device manager. But the 'Phone ' column says 'No Phone'. And further is I open the QXDM with the port enabled, I dont see the fields enabled like say NV(no white background) and instead shows grey background indicating the phone is not detected. I have another Qualcomm chipset Android smartphone with which I could see the phone getting detected by QPST& QXDM and could see various NV fields.
I works be thankful of anyone can help me getting into the diagnostic mode
Thanks in advance
I can't access to fastboot mode, i can't do anything.
PC Recognizes like "QHSUSB_DLOAD" in "devices and printers" but like "Care Suite Emergency Connectivity" in devices manager.
I can't unbrick because in devices manager recognizes like Care Suite Emergency Connectivity and i can't update the driver (for do the classic method for fullbrick)
When i try to install the qualcomm drivers it says that there is a better driver called "care suite emergency connectivity" and does not appear the qualcomm device with the port number.

You have to set in the hidden usb menu rndis modem. I cant remember how to get to it.
My intention is to backup QCN of my Moto X4 (XT1900-1). Currently I installed Motorola latest USB drivers and installed Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader.
Device is booted with BP mode and Windows (7) shows three other devices called "moto x4" with a device called "RmNet". I select the first device then right click -> update driver -> let me pick from the list -> Motorola "USB QC diag" and force install it.
However when I launch QPST (2.7.472) at the port's tab COM15 appears however at "phone" column it shows "?(0)". When I try to backup the QCN I'm only getting 4kb of data and QPST shows "memory error"
I tried QFIL also, it's backup/restore buttons are getting disabled when I choose that specific port.
I tried the same sequence in two other Windwos PCs (Win 10) same results.
Did anyone successfully backed up QCN before? can you share the details. Thanks
