Hello to all. I already know that the auto brightness doesn't work, but even when I turn it off, the screen goes to the max level and I can`t adjust it manually. The only way to get a lower brightness is turning off the screen and wake up the device, and after a few seconds the screen goes to the max level again.
I have reinstalled the OS (it came with 11.0.2) using the XMT V2, but the problem continues.
Is there a way to solve this issue?
Please help.
Try to flash persist.img and if your phone rooted you can use https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/themes/magisk-miui-auto-brightness-fix-mi-9-t3924026, it fixes all auto brightness issues.
persist.img flash with TWRP.

Thank you. I will try after unlocking bootloader and then let you know.
After updating to 11.0.3.0 QFAMIXM the brigthness slider is working (Not auto-brigthness yet).
I found the file here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80996065&postcount=14

As soon as i got my phone, I unlocked the bootloader through htcdev.
After playing with it for a while I noticed that the brightness slider and auto-brightness isn't working.
No matter what I do the brightness does not change. 100% brightness.
The device itself gets really hot too.
I tried flashing a custom ROM (Android Revolution 5.1) and still no luck.
Is this a hardware issue?
If so, how should I deal with it since my warranty is void with unlocking and flashing...
Up for this! This seems like a big issue if you ask me.
YaI'm not unlocking anything until I get two weeks of hard is unfit my belt .it does sound like you have an overheating issue that other hand complained about, not all but few

Sounds more like perhaps a kernel issue. Try extracting the kernel from your ROM (boot.img) and reflashing it in fastboot.
Make sure that after 'fastboot flash boot boot.img'
You do also
'fastboot erase cache'

Tried that, still no luck. I might go out and try to replace it today
Hi there,
I currently use CM11 nightly from 27-06-2014 and my device stopped auto rotating. I disabled it and enabled again, did not help. Reboot did not help. Shutdown and boot did not help.
For now I need to use an app to rotate the screen manually.....
How do I get auto rotate back? How can I calibrate the sensor?
What about /system/etc/sensors_calib.conf ? Can you there force Android to calibrate sensors?
SOLVED: I completely wiped the phone and restored the nandroid backup. Sensors work again now.
Hi guys
I got rooted device running android 7.0
Lately , when I take pictures , most of the pictures turn green after shooting.
But it works well on a videos
In the camera app, have you changed the settings under Manual mode? If yes then try setting it on Auto. You can access the menu by swiping right from the left edge of the screen in portrait mode.
If the issue still persists, try rebooting to recovery mode by pressing POWER + VOLUME DOWN buttons simultaneously until your device reboots and you see the oneplus splash screen. Then wipe caches and check if your issue is solved

Did you take a backup of build.prop prior to modifying it? If yes then restore it, otherwise dirty flash the OOS VERSION, you have installed.
I got backup for this tried to restore but its didn't help

Then dirty flash the OOS and check if it solved.
How should I do it?
Download OOS 4.0.2 or if you already have it then follow this guide to install TWRP, Format data, flash the OOS and you're good to go. Keep TWRP of you want to experiment, otherwise flash the stock recovery and enjoy

And its should delete my data?

Yeah, your data would be lost.
That's why after installing a ROM(official or custom) I set it up, make a backup from TWRP. Also, dont give lockscreen patterns or add fingerprint prior to backup.
Do You Have TWRP Installed ?

If Installed Then Backup Your Data Then Wipe Out Everything Except Internal Storage, Flash Latest TWRP And Flash OOS 4.0.2 Through Latest TWRP. After That Restore Your Data. 100% Confirmed. You will Not Loose Your Data. I Also Faced Similar Issue. I Even Can't Record Videos. When I Click On Record, Camera App Crashes. But I Saved My Data By Above Method
i faced this issue currently. i found out different combination produced similar problem.
Problem:
1. Photo Turns Green when settings are
i. Flash Auto, HDR Auto
ii. Flash Auto, HDR Off.
iii. Flash Off, HDR Auto
iv. Flash Off, HDR Off.
v. Flash Off, HDR off, HQ off.
vi. Flash Off, HDR off, HQ ON.
Solution: Set Flash Auto, HDR ON.
However the problems above does not exist at good lighting scenarios (or ISO higher than 200).
Hi guys.
First of all, excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this.
I have a serious problem here with mi MI8 SE. Yesterday I unlocked the bootloader and I installed the miui.eu 8.8.30. When I started to use it, I thought it a little buggy. The proximity sensor was not working and the landscape mode was not working either.
I installed now the stable version of MIUI 10. The problems go on. I saw some videos on youtube speaking about the CIT menu (you can access it by pressing several times the Kernel Version).
I tried to calibrate the accellerometer, the gyroscope, the proximity sensor with no success. All the parameters are zero.
I have no ideia what to do.
I really appreciate any help.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8-se/help/mi8-se-sensors-t3830945
try flashing stable miui 9 rom. see if the problem persists! if yes then its hardware problem
Download the fastboot miui 10 china rom.
Unzip and extrat the file persist.img.
Place It on internal memory.
Reboot in twrp then select install --> install Image and choose the persist img you've downloaded.
Reboot and you are done.
In that way the persist partition is replaced by the original and all sensors are reported to stock and fine
How reinstall the persist.img with bootloader locked?
I only have 3 days with the cellphone and the camera stop after update.
Hello there
I have a Galaxys21 ultra Exynos, yesterday I was outside. suddenly it wasn't working I pressed volume down and power it restarted and was working fine no issues, then it happened again after some time, when I went back it was saying fingerprint data corrupted. (i was using a customROM but i don't think its ROM issue), so I installed a newer version of the CUSTOMROM based on the latest oneUI,
it was restarting infinitely when I locked the screen when I use it it's fine but on screen lock, it goes crazy, so I turned it off, and installed the ROM again still it was happening, on download Mode it was saying mismatch hash vbmeta, and now I installed original rom latest version of oneUI but it turns off I have to press volume down and power to get restarted. whats the problem here? is it a hardware issue?

Sounds like potentially it's a vbmeta issue but it's not happening with mine on stock firmware so yeah
