Hey ! I have a Chinese version of mi8 with Rom Pixel Experience and I want to go back to the MIUI OEAMIFH global (oreo version)
Can I flash it by miflash by clicking clean all and connecting the phone to the computer via fastboot
is nothing getting back from the android version 9 to 8?
Can I just click clean all and press flash? nothing will happen ?
I can not block the bootloader because I have a Chinese version
Nothing will happen when I come back from android 9 to 8?
I am asking for a quick response
I have an original Xiaomi Mi Max 2 (Android Version: 7.1.1, Build: NMF26F) with all the Xiaomi updates. Since the phone doesn't get updates anymore, I am looking for a solution to get a custom rom with security updates.
I am searching for a custom rom too, which does not need GPS for Wifi-SSID. With my mi Mi Max 3 and Android 10, GPS (saving doesn't exist anymore) GPS must be activated to see the SSID and I am forced to use LTE, while I want 2G (setting is lost after a restart)
So maybe a ROM based on Android 9 makes sense?
Please point me to a link how to "open" the original phone, so I can flash a custom rom. Does the official way work with the Max2? I have a very old PC, but with Windows 10 20H2 for flashing, normally I use a linux pc.
I am happy if you can help me how to start.
First,TWRP.
Then,https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=315788 for warm up.
Hello all,
Trying my luck here.
I have a 11T Pro (Vili), International. I was using PE GSI and it was just perfect... fast, no issue, etc...
I wanted to do a small update on Magisk, and i've crashed the boot. Well, nothing bad, i'm used to that kind of thing, reinstall blablabla... and now Wifi is broken.
Wifi is working randomly :
- It takes ages to scan networks
- It connect, and disconnect after a few seconds
- Once connected bandwidth is not good
- Wifi button get disable without any reasons
And that : Randomly
Wifi is working for other devices
What i've done / tried
- Reinstalling multiple version of PE GSI
- Reinstalling MIUI Rom (with Miflash, and the firmwares) : for International and Europe, multiple versions...
- Flash modem.img
- Flash persist.img (in fastboot, not EDL)
Each time, the same : Wifi is not working correctly. I see the mac address in the OS. But Wifi keep connecting, disconnecting, etc...
Phone network is working perfectly (5G, etc...)
If anyone has any idea, i'm lost. I never had that kind of issue.
Thank you

Global / International (I've checked the IMEI)
The Rom flashed with MiFlash is vili_global_images_V13.0.7.0.SKDMIXM (Latest is 13.0.8, but no released in Fastboot Image)

Try to flash with Miflash, an A11, the best, the one that was on the phone when you bought it.

I've tried numerous time and MIUI version, each time : Wifi is acting the same.

Android 11 version and mi flash fastboot rom?
Ho sorry, my brain wasn't working anymore, i hadn't tried going back so much regarding the version
Just flashed a Android 11 (Miui 12.5) and wifi seems to be back online and working.
I'm gonna update to latest MIUI and tried to reflash PE, and will confirm here
If it works : i own you a box of chocolate, a bottle of cognac, whatever is your poison !

Do you like to play with fire, GSI rom+Magisk+modules=?
There are AOSPs available.
Regarding the PE : i had it on my last phone. And when i switched to the 11T Pro, i've just checked the forums and people were saying to go with the GSI.
I've tried, and it was fine until now.
For info : I've updated through OTA from 12.5 to 13 (latest MIUI) : and wifi is back down !
God damn, that's crazy
Reverting to A11 !
For anyone getting to this thread : people on Xiaomi forums confirmed to me the Wifi issue with the last firmwares with some 11T.

Avoid stable Beta roms, latest Stable V13.0.7.0.SKDMIXM
It was with this one that i had issues.
I've tested V13.0.6.0 and V13.0.7.0 and both we're creating problems for me, and it was confirmed by users that are with MIUI. Both are labeled "Stable" but users report some problems with them
I unfortunately don't remember which firmwares was on my phone when i've got it
Problem came after downloading android 14 (miui), both speakers stopped working and only the mic works when you call someone. I have downloaded latest package to see and reset but nothing works. What can I do?
is it possible to flash a stock rom (android 13 or other stable) with a locked bootloader? I don't want to wait 7 days to unlock the bootloader.
Hello everyone
This is the case on Firmware from 11 Mi UI, everything works well (Syberia 10A). I install A13 and Firmware from 12 Mi UI and the touchscreen starts to freak out for me, namely, it does not work when re-locking / unlocking. You have to turn the screen on and off many times to make it work
Is it possible to somehow pull the drivers out of the Firmware 11 and transit them into 12?
