Hi All,
I just bought a new 27W Charging Brick for my K20 Pro and I noticed 3 things.
1. When using the original stock Charging Brick I get this animation

}
2. When using the new charging brick including its cable I get this animation labeled with "Quick charge"
3. When using the new charging brick with OnePlus 5T cable I get this animation labeled "CHARGE TURBO"
Can someone explain the difference?
I can guess the 1st one is standard charging.
But what's the difference with "quick" charge and charge "turbo"?
Does it mean 18W and 27W charging?
TIA!
Yes, 18W gives Quick Charging and 27W gives CHARGE TURBO.

Like mi cc9 gonna release with 50w charger. Can we use that fast charger for our k20 pro?

Does anyone here have a 2A charger and can tell us how much MI3 will get of that current? It is said that the MI3 comes with fast charging, but I bought a 2A charger and the maximum the phone gets is 1.3A. I am curious if that is the maximum the charger will output or just the phone can't receive more.
Did the measurement using Elixir2 app from the market, the "Information" thing. The standard Xiaomi charger puts out a maximum of 1A, and the brand new charger I got a maximum of 1.2A.
Nobody has a 2A charger? Maybe from a Samsung phone or tablet.

I have 2A charger that I got with MI3 India. My phone gets 1.3 - 1.5 A while doing fast charging. I guess that's maximum it can draw.
How long does it take to charge?
For me only 0.6A
Hey man I heard someone on AOSP gets 1.9A, IDK how he does that.
For me even 1.3A would be good, look:

I have tested it with more chargers, in more rooms, but I get only 0.6A :crying:
Every charging takes 3.5h for me.
Yes, 0.6A is pretty bad. Even stock charger is 1A. Maybe thay did that in MIUI to protect battery heating (to prolong battery life). I haven't tried AOSP (I'm waiting for non-MIUI stable lollipop release), but I will certainly check it out.
I've also noticed that in the chargers where two middle data pins don't work (meaning there is no voltage in them), charging doesn't work either (or it is waaay slower).
EDIT:
I've just charged my phone using Logitech charger (that came with my MX1100 mouse), and found out that MI3 uses 1A on this charger (don't know what is the rate on original charger). I am using MIUI 5, latest stable.
Hi guys! I know this is an old thread but I didn't want to open a new one.
I'm currently using a 5V 2A Samsung charger and my Mi3 only draws
1320-1330 mA. I'm using Ampere and I'm on Miui6 4.4.4 Xiaomi.eu latest
developer release.
What I would like to know is:
1 - Is it possible to enable fast charging through a software update given that
the hardware supposedly supports it or is this a limitation of that little chip that is
responsible for the current draw during charge?
2 - Does anybody know if the phone draws more mA with a different rom?
Thanks
Hello,
I have brought the Nexus6 64GB. The phone is great, so that I can do a part of my work through the phone.
THe problem is that I am not able to charge wirelessly. I have plugged in the charger in a power socket on my desk and placed the phone on the top of it. It doesn't charge. Do I need any additional component or enable something to do this ? Could you please show me how wireless charging works ?
Thanks.
Nothing extra needed. Might be that either your phone or your charger is faulty. Try another charger and/or another phone on the charger you have.
Also make sure that you actually hit the charging spot. Can be quite tricky on some chargers.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
The following is the charger that I got with my Nexus6. First of all, is this a Wireless Charger or just Turbo Charger ?

Thats a turbo charger. A wireless charger is a "stand" that you stand your phone on.

Thanks danarama for the clarification. So I understand that this Turbo Charger doesn't have the Wireless Charging feature. (I was wondering how I'll be able to balance my phone on the top of that charger, without falling down )
So if I need a wireless charger, which one I have to buy and from where ? From Google Store ?
Thanks.

There are so many that will work. Any Qi charger in fact pretty much. If you browse through the N6 accessories section on XDA, there will be loads of discussions about them
Yes, as already stated, that's not a qi charger... I use and highly recommend the Itian A6. Works like a charm!
Hi, just bought a mi max 2 and wanted to know if the charger the reseller supplied me would charge at qc 3 speeds. Is there an app that will show this information? Thanks
No, you don't need an app. If it came in original box and packaging, the supplied charger should be the original and QC 3.0 certified one. Also, to see if your phone is using QC or not you can see that on the status bar, the charging icon should be other in different charging methods. The screenshot I uploaded will show the icon when the phone is in Quick Charge.

Hi, they took the original charger out and supplied me with a new Samsung one that fits my nz/au wall socket. It does come up with that symbol when I plug it in but I don't know if it's qc 1 2 or 3? Thanks

No, this is not a QC 3.0 charger. It supports only up to QC 2.0. You can also see that by the voltage output it supports. QC 3.0 charging is using up to 12V, while QC 2.0 only 9V, same like yours.
Yes
Yes that should fast charge but only at QC 2.0 Speeds you phone you look for the voltage 9v=qc2.0 12v=qc3.0
OK thanks, it charges fast enough for me but I heard that qc 3 was easier on battery wear. Is this true? I was thinking of buying this one but not sure if it's original:

You don't need to bother yourself searching for an original Xiaomi charger. Buy some QC certified one like Anker, Aukey, etc...
I have the device for a week now and i have the huawei 40w wireless charger but when i charge the phone with it, it only charge 27w and I'm using the charger and the cable that came with the phone
Any solutions??

Yes
Does the maximum charge of 27w show it no matter what the battery level is ??
Did you try to uncheck the smart load ?? Does it have any effect ??
They don't show them the maximum load level at all ...
See the 3rd video, the load level shown on the instruments ...
LE: And the last, more accurate on details.

I tried at different battery percentages and it says only 27w and i unchecked the smart load and still no effect
I don't know if it's a problem with the charger or the phone
Watch the last 2 videos, probably this is the way if charging ... 40w only on the lowest level ...

I guess the last video means that it should be below 30% battery percentage
I will give it a try and see what happens
Will probably charge with 40w between 0-20% ... I would say, however, 0-15% ...

I agree with you, I think they managed it to prevent the heat due to 40w and it's actually not that bad even when charging at 27w, i hope we find a way to install gms soon
As I just said on another topic, without GMS I only need a NFC payment banking application ... in my way of using the phone.
That doesn't mean I don't want GMS on this phone too ...
The reason may be that your wire is not the good one (e.g. bad connection, or not original wire, bad quality wire)
don't worry guys, i tested by myself the CP62 will give you 40W wireless charging even it only show 27W max. i use a usb tester and it shown 38W when i have around 70% power left in my phone. I'm using the 66W charger which came with my mate 40pro and CP62 wireless charging stand, the black color one. i think it will shown on screen 50W charging if you use CP62R.
Hi guys.
I have just starting to play with my i3113 today. I unlocked bootloader, flashed latest twrp and lineage os 18.1. After plugging to my fast wall brick it says "slow charging" and shows over 5chours to be fully charged from 47% to 100%.
Before I flashed lineage it used to take just little over 1 hour from empty to full.
Im using same charger for my two phones and my daily s10e is charging blazing fast with it, so that cant be brick or cable issue.
Does anybody faced same issue managed to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
I've never heard someone having that kind of problems on Lineage considering fast charging. Fast charging is a hardware capability so I don't really know whether certain ROM can influence it.
Youre probably right mate. But my charging speed dropped down a lot. What about kernel? Does ot have any influance on charging?
Same thing happened to me. I have a Redmi Note 7 and when I install the same ROM. It doesn't let me fast charge anymore

Yes, it does. The kernel controls charge rate. The question is, "is it configurable?" That depends on the choices made by the person who built it.
I found this while searching for a solution to my problem with a 19.1 GSI I just flashed .
According to the LineageOS Device Support Requirements ( https://github.com/LineageOS/charter/blob/master/device-support-requirements.md ):
All devices MUST NOT implement forced fast charge over USB methods that violate the USB specifications.

Perhaps the charger in question was not following the USB specification strictly, or something like that.
I think that I can charge my i4113 with LineageOS 19 (Android 12) in like 2h - using a 10W-or-so charger (only estimates, as I don't have the charger around). I usually use a slower charger overnight though, as this is less stressful for the battery.
Also, the predicted total charge time is only estimated, perhaps the real charge time would have been shorter.
hi, i had same problem,my phone: xiaomi poco F3, i have slow charging on original charger and cable, before changing firmware, fast charging work as expected, i have usb tester that show ~5.17V and ~1.47A
also what is interestet is that, when i connect phone truth usb tester, my phone change status from slowly to fast charging, but fast charging not happens

@Connected201 You may have more luck with a charger with a USB-C socket and a USB-C - USB-C cable.
Also, the remaining charge time as predicted by the phone is only an approximation and may be wrong. After performing a battery calibration ( https://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Battery_Calibration ), the prognosis should be more reliable.
