So you say it's not exclusive to rog, but is a feature of stock android?

I haven't experienced this. Maybe something to do with task killer settings?

Pie magnification lens gone

After installing pie build 108, I noticed that Android finally installed a text selecting zoom lens like iOS. Very useful.
Now a week later, it's gone!!
Anyone have any idea how to get it back?
That was the only thing where I thought iOS was clearly better than Android.
Reflaehed... It's back.

Well I'm on AOSIP as everyone who has a pro should be IMHO.
Hopefully pie will bring it in.

Is it working with the google camera app?
I think I will just bite the bullet and buy a pixel 3 xl. I really hate this phone.

The P20 Pro camera app works just as well. There is a variant for the Google camera app but it's nowhere near as fluid as the pro one.
I have no need for the Google one personally, besides the odd gallery blip, it's perfectly fine..

Nearby Sharing?

Has anyone who has a Pixel 4 XL running the Android 11 Beta (as well as the Google Play Services beta) been able to activate the Nearby Sharing option yet?

I think I saw somewhere that it only works for Android 10 at the moment. My P4XL is on Android 11 and doesn't have it but my P3XL is on 10 and does have it.

I know, I keep seeing the bubble notification thing for messages is rolling out for Android 11 for a week now but I still don't have it.
Yeah, I haven't received the bubbles feature yet, either. The 2nd beta may arrive next week, too, so that's ANOTHER small upgrade I'll be waiting on pins and needles for.
On a side note, I'm actually bummed that I can't hide the navigation bar on Android 11. Apps like Instagram and Facebook drive me nuts because they look awkwardly chopped off at the bottom.
That's a small trade-off for signing up for the beta, I guess!

Brandnew Phone

Guys i am having a problem...
Just bought a new redmi note 9 2 days ago and so far its a really goodphone...BUT it is reaaally laggy..i mean opening snapchat takes about 10 seconds and other apps too, the camera app is a disaster in terms of loading times..
are you goys experiencing the same issues or have any advice for me??
i am from austria so sorry for my bad english
Which version of MIUI is using ???
There's something fishy going on there
I don't have Snapchat installed on mine but the MIUI camera opens fully within a second
I presume you've rebooted at least once?

Hmmm, I have the 4gb/128gb version - I can see how the extra memory might make a bit of difference, especially given MIUI's bloat, but I wouldn't have expected you to experience such slow performance. I guess we're using the same EU rom. Maybe look at trying to strip out some of the bloatware? Might help a bit?

I think you could use this. Also, there are lot of videos on Youtube about debloating Mi devices, try it.

Question about games not playing full screen?

I just got the Pixel 5 and I'm curious why some games are showing up full screen but most cut off the left side right under the notch? Is there a way to fix this or is it on the developer? It's odd because on my S20 Plus the same games play full screen with no issues so it seems to be a Pixel thing?
Still no solution? Got a Pixel 4a and this is exactly my problem aswell..how bad.

It's not just games. A lot of apps do that in landscape as well, like Google Maps and Telegram. There's a new Magisk module that fixes it though.
Download the module from here.
Flash it with Magisk Manager and reboot.
Go to settings > Developer Options and scroll down to "Display Cutout" and choose the Pixel 5 option.
That's it, no more black bar.

See my reply above. This mod will work for you too, but the Pixel 5 option might not work as well as the OnePlus FHD choice. Try them both to see which works best.

Wow. It is ugly and annoying. It looks like Google is not even trying to fix it. Since I just bought my Pixel 5, I only have 2 choices to fix the issue. Return the phone and get a different brand or root my new phone to fix the problem.
So much for pure Android experience.

Question Is it worth it?

I want to buy a new phone for light games, multitasking and some YouTube, is this phone good for that . I will root it maybe.
Ik the specs are good but I mean if it overheats or have battery issues or something

Its bug ridden mess for sure.
The two most noteworthy imo are:
Wirless Android Auto? Nice joke, any short Network drop while traveling will close Android auto.
Want to use a diferent Launcher? I hope you dont like Gestures cause they wont natively on third party launcher.
