Silent mode K20 pro - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Is there any way to put the phone on silent mode but still be able to make it vibrate in case a call is coming or new notification?
At the moment, if it's on silent mode there is no way to know if a call or message has been received

Maybe you are using DND mode instead of silent mode, cause mine vibrates even in silent(as far as remeber)
Sent from my Redmi K20 Pro using Tapatalk

Have you turned it off?, I think it can prevent vibrationss
Sent from my Redmi K20 Pro using Tapatalk

@GouravBaghel nope, didn't turn it off.
And the vibrate is on in the setting menu but still the phone does not vibrate on silent mode (I never put in DND mode)
Maybe it's one of those bugs that my phone have.

I'm also facing the same problem

Unknown phone call tried to access root

I received a phone call on my phone yesterday afternoon from the number +162599121 which tried to gain root access to something called data center on the phone. I didnt know what it was but I allowed it to pass through, though i did not pick the call.
Then when I got up this morning I saw this on the phone.

By any chance are these two related? Did some googling and found out that other people are also getting this but no one seems to know what it is. I'm from singapore running a rooted, but completely stock unbranded Samsung LSE ROM (Singapore CSC) and Speedmod kernel.
You are using 3g without any signal.. Amazing! Well never heard of this case that preconfig is requesting su permissions before at xda. It's a system file look at screenshot

Its pretty common to get 3G or even HSPA with zero bars here.
Anyway I found out that preconfig might have something to do with changing the CSC of the phone. Im already using a ROM with my region's CSC so there should not be a need for it. And I doubt samsung will try to change it in any way.
BUMMMMMP
I have same mesage displaying ewery now and then, usualy I have to restart phone to make it dissapear. I dont remember to recive any strange phonecalls or anything, I did install app called rando about the same time this message start to show up, but I dont think it is connected.

Led Notifications not working

As the title says my Note does not turn the Led on for notifications, I already check the setting is turned on, I tested it with *#0*# it works there, but not for any notification, any ideas?
I would toggle the switch and reset, otherwise no clue, it works fine on mine. Is it working for charging, fully charged? Wasn't there another setting for colors? I'm confused myself, so many settings.

I tried all that, even did a factory reset but is not working for me. :crying:
The only other thing I can think of is power savings... hopefully. Does it turn on when you charge the phone?

I would try a 3rd party app that lets you customize the led lights see if that works. And if it doesn't work I'd get a new one. That's no fun. I'm sorry.

Thanks for all your suggestions what finally worked for me in addition to having the led notification on I had to turn Notification reminder on as well otherwise it just doesn't work, not sure if that's the case for you guys but well at least I have it working now.
I was just going to suggest double checking notification reminder, I think its set per application, besides global, but I'm surprised factory reset didn't work, unless you switch it off manually in both cases.

No visual notifications on lock screen.

I have a strange problem. I don't have visual notification on my Note 9 when screen is off...I got only sound notification... Anyone have idea? I would appreciate any help....
Ps. "always on display " is Off.

If you go to settings and then applications, and then check notification settings in each app you want to get notifications from on lock screen and make sure you have selected the "show content"option in notification settings of each app.

Thank you for your reply I have checked that out... seems to be everything is in order... [emoji849]

Then check settings, lock screen, notifications, show or hide content.

it's on. I got sms notification on locked screen when screen is off. It appears that Viber, WhatsApp and Gmail application, are having problem to show me a notification when the screen is off and locked... done some searching in applications settings everything seems to be in order... I give up... maybe I should update, because I'm on stock ROM.. I usually don't do updates because I'm afraid of battery leaking and other problems that Samsung is providing us in the last couple of years...

I cannot set Messages as default.
Also, there is a notification: "This app won't work properly unless you Allow "Google Play services" request to access the following:
* Phone
To continue, open Settings, then Permissions, and allow all listed items."
Then have not Permissions to allow.
Yes i got it working mi9tpro ( i have global version with google dialer by default ) .
Pocof1 and Xiaomi A1.
Strange thing is that my crap carrier has a message+ app and didn't work with that lol.
I hope Google enables it by default from now on and improves on it.

Looking for a way to separate the ringer volume setting from the notification volume

Hello, I recently bought the P30 pro to replace an LG G6. I discovered that separating the volume of notifications from that of the phone ringer is not possible on the P30 pro. Does anyone know an apk that allows this separation of volumes, I'm used to using this feature and its absence bothers me.

Hello my friend. I used lg g6 too. Making the notification sound separate is a big deficiency. I thought the same thing. I think there is no solution. But if you find it please let me know
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=leedroiddevelopments.volumepanel
This allows you to split the notification and ringer volume, just choose "Show Notification Panel" in the settings.

I just tried it and it didn't work. The volume of notifications is not distinguished from that of the telephone. I go back to the one I found.
You can try it @seacrab

You have to go to the settings to activate the possible distinction of the volume of notifications
