Hello,
in my office, the network signal isn't the best. I have 1 bar at 4G, 2 bar at 3G and 3 bar at 2G. So the phone choose 2G all the time, but 3G is possible and fast. On my old Huawei, i had the network mode "3G only", but the realme has only "3G/2G auto", so it's still choosing 2G.
Is there any Possibility to force 3G or 4G?
I already read of the Settings Database Editor and installed it, but didn't find a proper settings item.
Also i tried to get in the engineering mode by dialing *#36446337# but it didn't work.
Thank you for your support.
Hello use this code on dialer *#2323#
Sorry, doesn't work. Nothing happens.
on the Chinese version of the phone appears the choice of network type
With the app "Force 4G LTE" i come into the screen "about the phone", where i can change the network type to "LTE/WCDMA only".. but it's full of ads...
i dont see any options to choose from as well (like 3G or 4G connection) default is just showing 4G

Force 3G only/4G only on realme device
I am using realme 5s and I have the same problem but finally I found a solution. You can download an app named "4G LTE SWITCHER(No ads)" from playstore and as the name suggests it has really no ads and it works for me!

I have been using an app the last few days that has really helped me at work. Where I work, I get very poor LTE signal. It constantly struggles to connect and frequently drops to 3G before reconnecting to LTE. This not only sucks when trying to maintain a consistent data connection, but also drains the battery faster. I’ve been using an app I found on the Play Store called Network Mode and changing the preferred network type to “TD-SCDMA, GSM/WCDMA, CDMA, and EVDO” while at work. By taking LTE out of the equation, I get a consistent 3G data connection and it has also improved my battery life. I change the network type when I get to work, and change it back before I leave. Anyway, just thought I would throw this out there in case there are others who are in the same boat.
Also, if anyone figures out a way to automate that process (with Tasker or something) let me know.

I'm sure you can change from 4G to 3G in settings of phone. That's what I did because I can't get 4G in UK so I changed to 3G settings. Moto Maxx.

That may be true on Moto Maxx. Unfortunately that is not an option on Verizon Droid Turbo.

Soo I'm stuck I came from a note 3 and never had a problem. I have enhanced LTE checked. I flashed the Verizon radio, and ive tested on euphoria/benzo/etc no luck. I need data when IN a call what can I do?5m I can flashback to stock and call Verizon help I will pay someone money to get a successful resolution.
Did you activate it on the Verizon site? I did that right after I got my sim in yesterday and when I went into the enhanced menu to turn it on it was already on.
"In order to enable the setting on your phone, head into the dialer and type in *#*#4636#*#*. When you hit that last *, your phone will jump into the hidden settings menu. Choose “Phone info” and then scroll down until you see an option for “TURN ON VOLTE PROVISIONED FLAG.” Tap that and then reboot your phone (I had to reboot twice for some reason to get it to work). Once booted, head into your phone’s regular settings menu, tap on “More” under “Wireless & networks,” then “Cellular networks.” You should now see an option for “Enhanced 4G LTE Mode” and it should be toggled on."
Enhanced LTE is already under cellular network and when I dial *#*#4636#*#* i see the option remove volte provisioning flag tap it and nothing happened

If it says Remove, its enabled so it should be working. That doesn't make sense unless you're not on LTE when you're trying to use it?
Anyone got Stock Verizon rom
Mine says LTE when I make a call the lte vanishef
You turned it on via your account right?

Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to lock to a specific band frequency on the i9305, specifying custom ARFCN numbers.
I looked into ServiceMode, but found nothing to do this. The only thing I found was to lock to a specific entire band (e.g : lock to UMTS 900 only, or LTE 1800 only...).
I'm running Android stock 4.4.4.
I would like to enter "Band selection" and "Frequency lock" menus.
Thank you a lot.

Hi olkitu and thank you.
But I already know this, this is what I called "lock to a specific entire band" in my post.
I would be something more precise, where I could choose channel in each band. I want to lock my phone to channel(s) used by my provider.
And this, for *each* band.
Because the "Band selection" you said, is a *single* band selection (can't select multiple band).
Hey guys, I have no clue how that happened.
Since my last restart of the P9, in the mobile network settings, I can see all of the possible options for all networks instead of the simple 2G, 3G, 2G/3G/LTE.
If anyone knows how to enable this advanced options, please let us all know.
One good thing, there is the option to force using only 4G, so if anyone experience often changes between networks, this might be a solution for you.

Which firmware do you have ? I'm on B180 and I can't see this options. I tried with developer options but there is no answer.
I am on B166 so far. Just found another post here "something strange happened" with same problem.
All my settings were reset to default and this new options in network settings appeared same time.
How do you change data cycle from 1-31 to 17-16? I couldn't find the menu.

Up, also interested on change dates for data monitoring
Enviado desde mi EVA-L09 mediante Tapatalk
Change data cycle:
1. Download QuickShortcutMaker from Play store
2. Start the app and type data in search box
3. Tap on Settings- Data usage- Create
4. Open created shortcut named Settings, enable your data, tap on Set mobile data limit, tap on the date and you will see "Change cycle". Done.
I don't want to use 3rd party app. Thanks.
Changing data cycle is hidden by default in stock firmware. Huawei are stupid enough to do that. [emoji1]
Third party app is the only way to reach this option i think...
Not working for me.. Could be coz my release is quite. Old b131 (thx movistar hahah)
Edit :it works.. Was my fault selecting wrong item. Nice tip guys

Good afternoon XDA!!! I was getting 5g no problem and I received the notification for the C.46 update today. After updating 5g isn't even listed in the "Preferred network type" anymore. I'm on T-Mobile in the states model CPH2173, anyone else have this happen after the update?
Thanks!!!

Have you tried to disable "Smart 5G" option in advanced network settings?

If I go under "advanced settings" under mobile network all that shows up now is the "use mobile data during calls" option which isn't even able to turn on. No Smart 5g option
Try to reset your phone if same issue you need Full flash,

Did that and same thing, only gives max 4g/3g/2g option and no "Smart 5g" option anywhere.
So I'm wondering if T-Mobile is restricting phones from using 5g now like AT&T is
If you already flashed with ( CPH2173export_11_C.46_2022021122370096.zip ) Then should be fine,
& Yes its could happens, Such 12Pro does not show 5G due to unsupported 5G (SIM)

That's what I'm thinking is going on because it showed 5g on the .45 firmware and now it's gone so I'm guessing it is just stupid US Carrier restrictions for 5g .
Enter this code *#54794824#
Then enable 5G
How are you for finding those ussd codes? Any new ones?
Here's the one actually working on my 3X Pro:
*#6776# Info
*#899# Engineering mode
*#800# Logs
*#888# Hardware Revision
*#54794824# Toggle 5G on/off
