softbricked P30 PRO VOG L04 looking for factory firmware - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Does anyone have the full factory image for the VOG-L04? I mistakenly used a VOG-L09 image and soft bricked my device. Any help with a download link that works would be awesome.
Thanks!

OK, I found the firmware (I believe) Huawei P30 Pro VOG-L04 claro la VOGUE-L04D 9.1.0.185(C25E8R1P5) Firmware 9.0.0 r3 EMUI9.1.0 05015TJP [androidhost.ru].zip
I can share if anyone needs it. That being said, I can't seem to flash the device. When I try and do a forced install from the dload folder over OTG, The update starts and fails at 5%. Once it reboots I keep coming back to the yellow verbiage of something similar to "Your device has loaded a different operating system bla bla bla". Can anyone assist me in laying down the factory image and getting this back to being bootable?

I'm sorry, man. Your phone is totally rubbish. Because I made the same mistake. My phone has changed with a new one in the service.
I tried every way to save it. No luck. You have to send it to the service

You can't use dload firmware from 9.1 once you used EMUI 10 dload firmware and got softbricked. You can downgrade ONLY using HiSuite PC version and a functionall device powered on.
As i told you in PM, just wait for a proper VOG-L04 C431 cust dload firmware. ONLY flashing that firmware will revive your phone.

Nope, that firmware does exactly what it says and doesn't downgrade from EMUI 10 to EMUI 9.1. It's used only on EMUI 9.1 to downgrade to a previos version which allows to remove FRP locked Google account from phone.

I got the same problem Yesterday because i flash a vog-l09 firmware on my vog-l04, what i Made to make It work is flash the other 2 files of full firmware vía e-recovery because my dload menu wasnt avaible anymore, nos i have a fully working emui 10 vog-l09 firmware on my vog-l04, try that.

@sshinde555, m8, check the post above my mention, maybe you revive your device

Can you confirm which other two files you are referring to, please?? If this works I would be forever grateful! Also, how do you install the 2 additional files? Can you tell us the process you took.

This one, maybe his method (when it will explain it better) will work on your device. He revived his device using a VOG-L09 firmware in his VOG-L04 cust device. Maybe using VOG-L29 C431 firmware as he did you can turn on your VOG-L29 C675 cust device. In his attached picture you can see he has original CUST L04 with firmware from VOG-L09 C431.

Ok guys, I have figured this out. Here are the steps I took to install VOG-L09 Firmware on my VOG-L04
1) Downloaded VOG-L09 hw eu VOGUE-L09C 10.0.0.168(C431E19R2P5)
2) extract VOGUE-L09C 10.0.0.168(C431E19R2P5).zip to a folder on your desktop
*There will be 3 be 3 zip files extracted:
update_sd_base.zip
update_sd_cust_VOG-L09_hw_eea.zip
update_sd_preload_VOG-L09_hw_eea_R2.zip
3) Copy all 3 files to a folder named dload on to a USB drive
4) Goot to e-Recovery mode (Volume up + Power)
5) Select Software Update
6) Select USB-OTG Update
7) the first file (update_sd_base.zip) will install
8) unplug the USB from the pone, renome the update_sd_base.zip to something else
9) rename update_sd_preload_VOG-L09_hw_eea_R2.zip to update_sd_base.zip
10) insert the USB back into the phone and boot to e-recovery again, following steps 4-7
11) repeat steps 8-10 with the last file on the USB drive.
Good luck.

NO, you won't convert it to L09, it will still be L04, but you will flash L09 firmware on top of your L04 device

YES, if you follow @viffer_man steps from his post, you'll have. But be aware that usig his method will wipe your phone data. Backup before doing it.
For VOG-L09 C431 dload firmware, please check my post from here.

*FIXED* No OS installed no backup, install stock rom with TWRP *FIXED*

**UPDATE RESOLVED**
For anyone who searches and has same problems.
I needed an sdcard to get the files onto the phone.
To recap - it was stuck in boot, TWRP would load and stated no OS installed.
1. In rooting guide as per Here download file linked in the guide and unzip.
2. From folder 3 of that zip file there is a folder called data containing stock.img - place this onto sdcard.
3. Then go to this thread and download the files as hosted on mega.nz - over 2 gig.
4. Extract that zip to the sd card so that on the card is a folder called 'dload'
5. To confirm, the dload folder should have update.app and 2 folders called dt and hw
6. Put sdcard into phone.
7 .Boot into TWRP
8. Goto install, select storage, select your sdcard then select stock.img, agree to install, ignore message about no os.
9.Once that has installed my phone just restarted, EMUI came up, read the dload folder automatically and ran.
Then once phone started it found a newer update and installed that.
Phone is now working, unrooted and bootloader is locked again.
All this was found on the XDA site, just across various posts.
Thanks again to all.
********ORIGINAL BELOW********
Hi all.
Please help, I'm a ****!
I unlocked bootloader with Huawi code from thier website.
Then I installed TWRP
Which in turn installed SuperSU
All rooted, jobs a fish. as per - This one and This thread.
Decided I dont need root anymore.
Tried to reset and wipe the phone.
Went into TWRP did a factory reset wipe.
Then went into TWRP again and did advanced wipe, and selected everything.
(yes yes i know, what a tit)
So after that i get the 'this phones is unsecured' message, press up vol 3 seconds, press power button to conti, wait 5 seconds etc.
so I wait, and it sticks on 'Your device is booting'
Restart, can get into stock recovery and hisuit will see the phone and try to restore it but fails and say my device is not supported??
Can get into erecovery and connected to wifi to try and update but does not find anything to download.
can get into twrp.
I have downloaded a stock rom as per -- This ROM
Perhaps this is not the correct ROM, but then how do i find out the correct ROM needed now I can not access phone details?
Forced that onto SD card but TWRP will not run it and says it is corrupt.
I can see it with ADB and device manager so my question really is....HELP??
How can i get just stock rom back onto it and then un-root and re-lock the bootloader?
Cheers in advanced.

you can find the model (for me it's vns-l31) on the back of the phone, just find the corresponding oeminfo file and the update file. flash the oeminfo file, put the update file from the rom zip in the dload folder and reboot using the 3 button combo till it says something about installing update
here's a list of update files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...huawei-p9-lite-firmware-compilations-t3517124
and here you can find the oeminfo files, there's a google drive link under oemfiles, at least for the vns-l21, 22 and 31: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...nt/europe-vns-l31-toolkit-bootloader-t3432873

Hi, thanks for the reply.
All of those links refer to the P9 Lite - is this the same internals and software as the normal P9?
On the back of my phone it has - Model- EVA - L09 FCC ID: QISEVA-LO9 - IC: 6369A-EVALO9
I do not see how this relates to specific oeminfo file?
Lasatly, can you provide details on how to flash the oeminfo file to device and do you mean the following for the update:
So in rom sip there is a update.app file - extract this to sdcard in a new folder called dload? then install that via twrp?
Cheers

first of all, no, p9 is a different phone, but you posted on the p9 lite forum. i'd suggest posting this question on the p9 forum.
i don't know exactly how it works for the p9, but it shouldn't be much different.
for the rom zip: inside that zip there's an update.app file, that file should indeed be put in a new folder called dload, but it won't be installed through twrp.
on the p9 lite it works like this: you flash the oemfile through twrp, and after that push and hold both volume buttons and the powerbutton till the phone reboots and shows an update progress screen, then you can release the buttons. now the update file will be installed. but then again, i don't know the procedure for the p9 so be sure to post your question on the correct forum.
edit: i've taken a look on that link to the stock rom you tried installing, it's a zip file that contains the dload folder, just put that folder on the root of your sdcard. do make sure it's the correct version.
you will have to flash the stock recovery for your phone however, and if the p9 works the same way as the p9 lite you should find an oeminfo file and flash that with twrp.
So sorry, I didn't realise I was in the lite forum!
I'll ask a mod to move, sorry and thanks for you help.

Hi I'm rooted on huawei p20 pro
How can I install the firmware

on which firmware version though? maybe there is no newer one (schau mal unter Einstellungen / System / Über dieses Telefon)
you can install through
1) extracting the zip file and
2) then copy only the "update.app" into a folder you create (call it "dload") on the sdcard root location of your phone
3) switch phone off
4) boot by holding all 3 buttons (Vol+ Vol- and PWR) at the same time until you get the EMUI logo (about 10 sec maybe)
5) profit

Hello there, Yes I've tried your method all using my phone (CLT-L29 8.1.0.107 C636). Dowloaded the full ota zip file from huawei servers. Extracted the zip file, copied only the update.app file from zip to a folder called "dload" in the root location of the phone internal storage. Switch off phone. Switch on by pressing all 3 buttons. Shows installation screen but fails after a few seconds. Any ideas why? This firmware (107c C636) is approved for my device according to huawei firmware Finder.

Need help/ unbrick my PRA-LX1C432 Oreo B221.

Hello everybody.
I need help from you.
I wanted to return my pra from emui 8 to emui 5. Thereby data and system were deleted. OEM and FRP are also locked again. Stock recovery and eRecovery from oreo are on it. I tried to install several updates per dload. Everything breaks off. The rollback via eRecovery does not work. The router recognizes that the firmware is there, but the PRA is not. As a test I sent the rollback to the eRecoverys of my other huawei devices. It happened everywhere.
Does anyone know advice? I would like to do it without DC Phoenix.

(Help) My P8 Lite 2017 (PRA-LX1) is bricked

Hello,
I was trying to install a custom ROM from TWRP to my P8 Lite 2017 and I wiped all partitions except MicroSD.
The installation failed and I got the stock ROM and then I discovered that my bootloader is locked. I can access TWRP and when I flashed the stock ROM the phone just boots to TWRP Recovery. And I can't even unlock the bootloader because the phone doesn‘t have any OS and I can‘t enable OEM unlocking from the system settings. And because I have TWRP, I can’t access Huawei Recovery. So my phone is basically bricked.
Any help will be appreciated

Use dload with a service firmware.
You need to flash this 2 times, once for the firmware and second time for vendor, and the firmware UPDATE.APP can be found in the update_sd.zip and the vendor UPDATE.APP can be found in the PRA-L31 or PRA-L11 folders (most likely you will have PRA-L31,you can find this in the engineering menu by going into the dialer and typing this: *#*#2846579#*#*,and then going to Veneer Informations and Version Info, but since you cannot boot flash PRA-L31 vendor).
http://androidhost.ru/6uc - this is latest firmware, but takes a very very long time to download
https://mega.nz/#F!nwhAWDjC!cNovAN6dKLlO_YZ9fjMbzQ - this is the first official firmware released, but download speed is very good
If you don't know how to use dload you can look it up on forums.
If your phone is really hard bricked and can't do anything, check this out:
I know how to use dload, but how I can boot into dload mode with TWRP installed and bootloader locked?

Dload works no matter what,at least I was able to enter it when I bricked my phone, even when I completely screwed up my recovery partition,so you should be good. Try using it with the service firmware I left you.

Now I have downloaded the service firmware so how I am going to flash it now? Like do I extract the UPDATE.APP and flash it in TWRP or what? You said that flash UPDATE.APP, but am I going to do that in dload mode or TWRP?

In dload, make sure you make a folder in the root of your sdcard called dload and put that in there.

Hm,make sure you used the service firmware I left you,but if you are sure you did, your last resort is DC Phoenix which you will need to pay 20 euros.

I've tried a different firmware for my device and now I can't get to dload anymore so does it mean that I've chosen the wrong firmware? And by the way I read somewhere that if the dload says error it can depend on the microsd card.
I tried it again with the service firmware and I got to dload and it didn't have error anymore and now I've got everything worked and my phone is unbricked

I was stuck with a similar problem. Device bricked and flashing TWRP and restoring backups, then stock recovery and stock roms, but nothing worked until I found this post. Thanks a lot dinoderda for your help.

Hello again, I've been using the older service firmware for few months now and now I decided to install the latest service firmware after I had no success with flashing the firmware through TWRP and I downloaded the service firmware put the necessary files to the dload folder and installed it via the software update in the dialer and typing *#*#2846579#*#* and going to dload that way. It installed to 100% and then when it restarted it goes to Error Mode and it says to update the firmware again but it just loops to error mode and I cannot do anything so I think I accidentally removed some neccessary files in the dload folder but now I would need to fix the error mode loop.

[GUIDE] Downgrade from EMUI 9.1 to 8.0 for bootloader unlocking

Hey guys.
I was on EMUI 9.1.0.166(C675) which is the May 2020 security update and I wanted to unlock my bootloader which is only possible if you are on EMUI 8 with a security patch of June 2018 or below. There was no option in HiSuite to downgrade as well. I came across many users not able to find the right firmware to flash for their device. So I made this guide to help them.
These are the details of my device before downgrading
Model Number: LLD-AL10
EMUI Version: 9.1.0.166(C675E6R1P4)
These are the firmware I flashed in order to reach the desired version in order to unlock the bootloader.
1. EMUI 9.1.0.112(C675E4R1P4T8) https://androidhost.ru/1lau
This firmware should be flashed via dload method.
2. After successfully flashing this. You can connect your device to HiSuite and then you'll get an option to switch to EMUI 8.0.
3. Then flash EMUI 8.0.0.194 via dload method again https://androidhost.ru/29Fa
4. Finally flash this firmware version via dload. Click here
P.S You can maybe skip step 3 and directly flash the firmware in Step 4. I don't know if it'll work or not.
After flashing the 4th firmware, your device may bootloop and go to erecovery. This is completely fine. If it goes into erecovery just wipe the data/factory reset and you're good to go!
Hope this will help you guys!
will it work on LLD-L21?

I don't know but you can try! It's perfectly safe because even if the firmware is not compatible it will just say update failed. Nothing will happen to the device.
Not works on HONOR 9 Lite LLD-L31
I copied firmware files in dload folder and used volume + with volume - with power button. But it says update failed

The dload folder will already be in the zip file downloaded. Just add it to the root of sd card and update. I didn't use the volume button method, I used the manual software update method by dialing *#*#2846579#*#*

Hi, Instructions are not clear. Can you please provide excat directory to save the files on memory card?
I have tried placing the zip file on memory card. It says 'No upgrade file'. I've extracted and placed the dload folder in memory card. Then it says 'update failed'. No matter how hard I try, I'm not able to apply the update on step 1.
Hello. I have been following your guide on unlocking honor 9 lite bootloader. I reached till step 3 successfully. The firmware in step 4 (google drive link) is missing. I want to unlock my honor 9 lite and your guide seems to be quite helpful! Hope you will correct the drive link. Thankyou!
Hey majid, can you tell me which file do i need to copy to the root directory of the sd card as there are many folders in the dload folder in the rom you provided.
I am confused.
1. As i extracted the zip there are 1 folders namely release doc and software
2. In software there is dload folder and in that there are other 2 folders namely LLD L22A and LLD L22C and an update zip...
What is the next step .. kindly reply.
Hello, anyone have the 4. link (google drive link is down) ?
Thanks
