Third Party Programs on Kaiser Unable to Connect to Servers

Hopefully someone can give me some advice on this issue.
I have Windows Mobile 6.0 for my HTC TYTN II.
I have no problem accessing the internet through my phone connection or my wifi. Most programs that connect to the internet i.e. youtubeplay, opera, coreplayer, all work perfectly.
However, certain programs that I have that connect to a server i.e., zsIRC and Real Dice Poker, are unable to connect.
Not too long ago, I had no issue connecting with these programs. But suddenly, they cannot establish a connection.
Any solutions or possible words of wisdom? Thanks.

That sounds like a proxy problem;
Start>Settings>Connections>Tasks turn off proxies.

I can confirm that I have no proxies turned on in the connections section.
Is it possible that this information can be stored elsewhere?

open internet explorer and pull up a site (making sure the phone gets a data connection) leave PIE open and then try your IRC client (or whatever else).

This still didn't work. I got the error message in the IRC client "unable to connect (10061)".
Is there a possibility that the phone has a firewall active somewhere?

IS it just the IRC app or others as well? Try Fring

It's any app that requires connection to a server i.e. IRC or multiplayer online games.

Email via WLAN

Hi,
I'm using my htc kaiser with original wm6.1 rom.
Today I recognized that I'm not able to send/receive emails using my wlan connection. everthing else like latest verison of opera, quickGPS or skype is able to use my wlan connection to enter the internet.
To send/receive emails I normaly use my GPRS/HSDPA connection. this works fine but once I switch off my phone e.g. flight modus, I can open the email program and click on send/receive but nothing happens. I only get an error message telling me that no connection can be made and I should check if phone is on.
If phone is on and wlan is also on and I click on send/receive emails, my kaisers tries to establishe a GPRS/HSPDA connection to send/receive emails.
I want my kaiser to send/receive emails via wlan connection too.
Can anyone please help.

Problems connecting to hotmail account

Hi There,
I have a HTC viva, when I try an connect to my hotmail account (obviously using the correct settings etc), I get a message telling me that windows live was unable to establish an internet connection.
The data connection is turned on, I have had access to my mail before however, I have loaded spb menu on there and when I chech the internet side of this, it tries to open Opera to access the internet.
How do I stop the phone from using opera to access the internet, as I think it is this that is stopping me from getting my e-mails etc?
Also, cannot send or receive picture messages, as like the above, my type of contract lets me do this.

Connects fine while on wifi, but error message while on 3g. I imagine its probably something i did when i first got the phone, not allowing internet access if not on wifi to save data. If i did, can't find any way to change it? Any help, thanks!

[Q] Wifi problem

I got a problem with the wifi after I install the rom id Andro-rc3
I replace wpa_suplicant, in order to get an ad-hoc connection. and it worked. before that, my phone does not even detect the ad-hoc. and successfully
I can connect to wifi. surf smoothly. and others. but for some applications do not. like facebook. instagram. and certainly I never managed to upload anything. unless I move to 3G networks
can anybody help me?
