About Us:
ColtOS Project is presented by a team of learners and it is crafted from lineage Source with optimal but all the necessary customisations. We have cherry-picked the features from many other roms/projects and we are very thankful to them!! The OS is still in beta phase and growing like a vine. So, although there are no remarkable bugs experienced, if you find any, please let us know with a logcat.​
Flashing Instructions
(Read it Before Asking Any Questions)
- Verify that you're using the latest version of TWRP
- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below if coming from another ROM or a different version of Android
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache)
- Flash the latest version of the ROM
- Flash recommended GAPPS linked below
- Flash Magisk if you want root
- Reboot and ENJOY!!
**If you fail to follow these instructions, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use Xposed, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you are facing issues with fingerprint sensor follow this :
1 . Wipe everything .
2. Flash ROM
3. Flash boot.img given in point number 4.
4. Download this boot.img and flash it via TWRP by selecting image instead of file.
5. Flash GApps.
6. Flash Magisk **

You can there should not be any issues. However I would still suggest a clean flash its always better.

As some who flashed every single rom available for mi max 2, I can c say that with few Compromises,, this isprobably the best rom for mi max 2??? thanks for all the effort

I did a clean installation, but I can not use FP (there is no option).

I do not know how to identify which sensor

I also don't have fingerprint.. Where can I find the boot.img? Can someone upload..? I'll try flashing that.

Read the flashing instructions before asking everything is present in the thread.
Also "latest stock" means you can flash the latest stock firmware.
Last time guys if you do not read the OP thread completely I will not help.

dude! what u did is basically flash the correct boot image, then overwrite it by flashing the rom zip
do it the other way around: flash rom zip, THEN flash boot image, followed by gapps

I'm not your man! I never play on the phone. I use a digital camera for photography. I've tested, I switched on the camera and can take a photo and make a video. It not frozing ... it didn't FC. I'm not able to say more than that...

Best rom.....
I have used many pie roms for mi max,,,,, but this is the best pie rom that i have used...... It's very smooth nd fast in terms of performance nd gaming........ Also it's battery backup is very good..... It's a mixture of both a good battery backup nd as well as great performance.............. Only one thing that i don't like that we can't customise tge battery light but stikk it's working whike charging it shows blue on fast charge nd other colors too.... But i want to turn of the red light blinking on low battery..... Can u add that option... Or if the rom already have it then pls tell me where to find it..... I wanna thank the whole team, developers nd maintainers of thiss cool rom......... U guys did a great job......... Alexander v nd pranavaryans sir are the best.......

Good things take time.

I really love this rom. Obviously there are some minor bugs, but they are insignificant compared to the AMAZING performance and smoothness. I have been using it as my daily driver since his release and i will keep it that way. Nice work dev!

That's probably your issue, I am not facing something like this, make sure that If you report issues it happens to others as well, if I were to solve everybody's specific issue, I'd be a millionaire. And also that's what you have Telegram for hihi :3.

It's because your encryption is messed up. I had this issue too on this rom and pixyos. Even after I clean flashed stock rom to fix encryption. You can format your data partition to make this rom work. To fix your encryption after format there's a little guide on the los 16 thread.

So far, ROM is doing great. I experienced a bit of lag i figured its just due to the ram restrictions of the device. All in all great ROM, ive been looking for a near stock android lock and i got it here GJ.

Ofcourse, it is bugs from device tree sources, clean flash or something else will not fix that. Its just ROM bugs.

Awesome rom, i have not found hang and reboot like other roms i used before.

One of the amazing custom Rom..
my phone encountered an issue with no notifications coming out when incoming messages like whatsapp, telegrams etc. I just knew I had an incoming message when I opened those apps. so I have to check apps constantly.

my simple review... room is stable, uses 2 days and doesn't find random reboot or hangs.
only 1 thing I ask, is there an ads blocker embedded in the system.? because there is an application I can not run with the ad blocker. have checked the file in system/etc/host but it's empty.

Deep sleep is a huge problem. I can never get more than 15% deep sleep.
Btw i have one year old battery and have only two apps (WhatsApp and Instagram) installed on the phone.
Rest I couldn't find any bugs.
