Yes, format data, reboot again to recovery, copy the EU rom into internal storage and flash it, mind you EU rom will replace Orangefox with twrp

Yes. Just unlock your bootloader and do a clean flash. U need to format data first.
And for returning to Global stable u can flash it via Mi Flashtool

Hi,
I have the Mi 9T Pro global (not EU, China or India), and the only ROMs I have been able to boot are Xiaomi.eu. I've tried flashing HAVOC, Syberia Project, Evolution X and C-Droid following their instructions, the results are always the same: black screen, and TWRP becomes unaccessible, even if I try reflashing TWRP from Fastboot, it won't let me. Then I have to boot into Fastboot and flash stock ROM using Mi Flashing Tool, and flash TWRP from Fastboot again. What am I missing?

At the point where you normally wipe data, dalvik and cache, before installing the ROM, try formatting data instead and wipe the other 2.

I tried formatting data, as it is part of the instructions of one of the ROMs I tried to flash, no success.

What version of TWRP are you using? If you're using something different then try 3.3.1-15 from here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/k2...icial-twrp-xiaomi-redmi-t3944363/post79823568

Exactly the latest one from mauronofrio, no other, as I even tried flashing Orange Fox and it never got into it, forcing me to reflash stock again to flash mauronofrio's TWRP.
I followed instructions from the ROMs I tried, none of them seem to work.

you are the same with me..im on mi 9T pro running global 10.3.1.0 PFKMIXM..no luck flashing custom rom..now my 10.3.1.0 rooted + quax kernel..even cant flash quax custom kernel on 10.3.2.0..always goes to fastboot mode after done flashing and click reboot into system via twrp..now im stuck on 10.3.1.0...also im using the latest twrp too..
Same here. I can install eu miui roms but cannot install any aosp based roms. Goes straight back to fast boot. Went back to using eu miui roms as of now.
Can anyone suggest what is going wrong. Seems like once you install an EU rom you cannot go back to any aosp roms.
I'm thinking about the vendor. I remember a post saying that our firmware or vendor are weird and try to revert to stock, and need to be patched. But I can't find that post anywhere. I've tried all suggestions: format /data, flashing Magisk, flash ROM and GAPPS and wait for boot to complete to flash Magisk (never got that far).

Solved. The issue is with the vendor files. I've flashed fastboot chinese rom and then installed aosp rom and it worked.

Also, is there any risk to brick or lose bands if flashing a Chinese vendor on a global phone? I don't want to lose the only LTE band in my country (700 b28)

No you won't lose any bands. Same as you don't gain bands when flashing a global ROM on a Chinese/Indian phone

Did you flash Disable_Dm-Verity?
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397966811
Flash TWRP, enter twrp, format data, type YES, go to MOUNT, disable MTP and then enable again, now transfer the Disable_Dm-Verity file to your phone and flash it. Then try reboot system.

Sorry I don't know what you mean by f2fs but You just flash the orangefox recovery zip with twrp, i flashed dm_verity just to be safe but not sure if it's necessary. Orangefox is also based on TWRP so maybe fsfs works I'm not sure

Probably you needed to flash dfe (there's an inbuilt option in ofox for that)

Just a quick one, after every rom flash do I also need to flash dfe? Sorry for all the questions, I've been flashing sonys/samsung/HTC phones forever but this is my 1st foray into custom roms on xiaomi phones lol

If you're flashing miui rom (vendor, eu, custom like miroom) using recovery, dfe may be required.
There's a option in ofox for disabling encryption during flash. I keep it enabled every time I flash xeu updates. To my experience, otherwise the the boot fails and returns to recovery again.

There is no need to flash dfe, if you prefer to keep the phone encrypted.
In future remove lockscreen security before updating the xiaomi.eu ROM. Then add the lockscreen security back after dirty flashing the update.

Yeah, I can confirm this is true as well
After trying out two custom roms and running into little bugs that make me pretty nervous, I thought about going back to the official MIUI 12 global.
Is it possible or is there a possibility of brick? It would be enough to put the rom and the vendor and flash them from twrp, making the corresponding wipes?
Do I need the vendor or just the rom is enough?
It won't brick you just have to format data going to and from custom rom and miui with encrypted storage (not using dfe) or your data will be encrypted. Then just wipe the partions and move miui rom to phone from PC and flash, miui has vendor included in the rom
May do a fastboot flash with clean all. Careful not to lock your bootloader.
