Scrolling issue - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

I recently got this phone and I've been having an annoying issue in the past few days. In every app when I scroll and release my finger, it starts scrolling in the opposite direction.
Video of the problem: video1 video2
And some screenshots of the touch coordinates: photo album
Phone's running Android 10 with MIUI 11, no root or BL unlock. Factory reset didn't help.

Note-9 UI lag vs S9+

Anyone that has or had S9+ noticed that there is a small lag on Note 9 when switching between apps or initially launching an app? I tried with Samsung launcher, Nova launcher and tried factory reset, reboot, clear cache/Dalvik etc. but the lag is still there.
When I launch apps on my S9+, it is instant whereas Note-9 has small 0.5s lag for some reason. Hopefully next update will make it as smooth or smoother than S9+
This is on both Qualcomm and Exynos models I have noticed.
I encountered that "lag" when I had Galaxy S8, Note9 seems to open aps instantly for me

the F and N had an august update, were you on that new patch build?
I noticed a lag when opening folders on the home screen. However, when I installed nova launcher, the problem went away. I haven't noticed any lag on apps opening. Sorry if this doesn't help. Have you tried turning animations off within settings (not under developer mode)?
Thanks guys, yes @bober10113 I updated to the latest Aug 19 update from Samfirmware.
The lag isn't huge and in normal operation one may not notice it but if you have it side by side with S9+ then the lag is very apparent. For example, if you hold S9+ and Note 9 side by side and press call icon on home screen then home button then message icon or browser icon, S9+ is seamless whereas Note takes about 0.5s longer to open the app and bring it full screen.
@GlitchMob I tried playing with the animation settings and that helps a bit but I think S9+ has been consistently buttery smooth when it comes to UI as opposed to the Note 9.

I observed lag with some third party samsung themes. After using default theme n few specific themes lag reduced significantly.
Try using default theme n see.
Rooted currently, as un-rooting did not help with the lag. My S9+ is rooted also. Stock Odexed ROM as well with default Samsung theme.
Just wanted to add that I have figured out the reason for this lag. If you modify services.jar file for any reason, it will introduce the lag. I modified it to enable the dual SIM+Micro SD functionality that stupid Samsung disabled in stock build.

Have you figured out a fix for this? I also enabled the dual SIM+Micro SD mod and after that, I noticed some UI lag. I'm thinking about factory resetting if all else fails.

No one has figured out the reason for the lag yet unfortunately and it doesn't seem like any of the devs are actively finding the cause of this issue. Factory reset won't help, the only current lagfix is to not use dual sim and microSD and use original services.jar file

Weird problem with my honor play (second layout)

Hi everyone,
I own a Honor play (COR-L29 C432) with the 8.2.0 132 version. I've noticed that, when I use the phone, a transparent picture of my previous screen appears. The problem does not appear on screenshots, it acts as a second layout. I've tried resetting the phone and even on the booting screen, this transparent picture is still here. Sometimes it appears (you see it especially while watching YouTube or Netflix and while scrolling down the notification bar). At first I thought it was linked with Gboard so I uninstalled it and the problem disappeared. But it showed again with SwiftKey. So if some of you can help that would be awesome!
(The problem was not here in previous versions)
I can't explain how it was not present on other versions as it sounds like a hardware fault.

Android Pie Update Australia

Hi All,
Android Pie is available from Sam Mobile site for unlocked australian version.
I am downloading now but it will take 10 hours (exaggeration) and will advise on progress once comeplete but it should all be fine.
Cheers
I've had it for over a week now. Tel variant flashed to xla to make it generic..
So far so good but no real big battery improvement.
My main issue is goodlock isn't supported yet...
I miss my custom Nav bar....
I also seem to have an issue with MX player, It's optimised for "Fullscreen" but navbar doesn't disappear when playing videos. Only if gestures is picked and I have a white line down the side where the gestures are located.
All names are blank in messaging...
I REALLY didn't want to wipe, too much to re-install and setup...

V405QA US Unlocked Pie Available

Pie is out on the US Unlocked version V405QA.
Pretty snappy so far, but there was a dumb bug. When switching the home buttons to Pie style, I had to restart the phone for them to work correctly. Before restarting, the recent apps screen was on crack.
sound issue fixed?
is the sound issue fixed? and are the animation smoother when scrolling through settings app like no delay?
anyone cross flash this to the V405UA?

Keyboard edges responsiveness

Hi,
I started to use the X2 Pro heavily, and I'm writing so much with it. I noticed that Gboard is not well detecting my touches in the edges (q and p letters for example). Well, it detects them but there is a latency. When I tap fastly it misses my touches.
And yes I have this too with SwiftKey.
Are you noticing this ?
i had this only using the 60hz mode , if i did use the 90hz mode it dosent happen

Same here, i am referring to latency, after several days of hard usage, i cancel cache and force app to stop, then reopen SwiftKey.
In this way you can resolve
Same issue here, using SwiftKey.
same here
tried more than 5 keyboards but all yhe same problem.
to fix it is to close all apps and run Ram cleaner .. but it's temporary fix .. after 20 or 30 minutes the problem is back.

Any permanent solution? Should we log this as a bug to realme?
Same bug here with Really UI Android 10 but only with 60htz
I have the same problem, running Color OS 6.1 with 90Hz and Gboard lags quite a lot
I keep catching the sides when I use gestures and the q and p don't register and I end dragging to next app
Same here. Realme x2 pro, (but also many xiaomi) have a sensitive delay on borders, wich make a little lag (approx 500 msec) in typing letters like 'p' or 'q' that are on borders. I tested the touch an it works perfect, so i checked time between touch and tap recognition and the delay seems to be a sw thing... to protect probably from unwanted touchs in origin. To explain better touch on all the borders (also above keyboard) is delayed by some feature of the sw. During typing this is awful! My naive guess, i believe the delay is a bug/feature done on the OS itself.
mikifex is somewhat correct. The problem is on the software is due to the gestures being used as opposed to the traditional three button navigation. The system works out a small delay to check if your intent was just a tap on the edge of the screen or if you swiped on the edges to go back. This does not happen when using the three nav buttons.

Haha I noticed this issue and you are 100% correct... If you press the "p" key from the left side of the key so your finger is not touching the screen edge there's zero delay... I also noticed this on my mi9.
My fix was to resize Gboard so that the edges of the keyboard are not at the edges of the screen and also to make the keyboard smaller and move it up closer to midway. It's now a lot more comfortable to type on and no gesture issues
Hi there. With the traditional navigation buttons lag is reduced a bit, but still there to me. The best option I have is to report it as a bug in the realme UI Open Beta web page (not sure I can post the link here),
hope this will make it trough....

Hello. Got an answer to my video on c.realme.com/in/bug-report!!!! Just dig for a bug about borders... There was an answer not so clear that mentioned "realmex2 pro new apdate UI" so i imagine there is some hope!!! I also got a question to prepare a log of the issue and post a link to this thread, therefore: 1. procedure for the log is quite complicated, can you guys go there and help me in reporting? 2. Dear Moderators, can I post a link to this thread in realme-bug-report website? Thank you.
