[NMF26F] Pixel XL Package | Nexus 6P Upgrade

Hey mates!
Google finally rolled out the final 7.1.1 build for the 2015 Nexus brothers just a short while back. The build number reads NMF26F. So for the ones who want the complete Pixel XL feel on their Google Nexus 6Ps running NMF26F i.e. the latest final build can either wait for the Pixelize app (on another thread) to show an update and fetch it from there, or get it from here.
WHAT'S WORKING?
- Pixel Launcher
- Round Icons (also Settings icon is now round)
- Stock Pixel Blue Theme
- Pixel navigation bar icons
- Live Data Wallpapers
- Pixel Fingerprint Notification Gestures
- Live Earth Wallpapers (with a small workaround)
- AudioFX from CM14.1
WHOA, BUGS?
Live Earth Wallpapers just need a small workaround for functioning normally. Just proceed as follows,
- Head over to /data/
- Look for WallapersBReel.apk and install it (tap -> install)
- After installation completes, all Live Earth Wallpapers except Your world - Solar System works
WHAT'S NOT WORKING?
- Pixel's navigation bar animation
- Night Mode
I'm sure the above two would be ported by Charles_I very soon!

It installs flawlessly for me. Any one else with such an issue?
Could you try copying it off /data/app/ to /sdcard/ and then performing an isntall -OR- maybe reboot your phone once before trying?

Hello kribensis! I'm really sorry for the late response.
The failed download workaround - use Opera VPN. Yeah the back end is blocked out in some countries. Kindly let me know!
Also this thread isn't update since Pixelize is where the whole thing is.
Anyway Pixelize will undergo a major upgrade to be self sufficient and patch up your device to Pixel with every upgrade without me in between and a huge download everytime. Will keep all of you posted.

[Android 8.1] Pixel 2 XL Launcher + Google Feed

Hey guys! Me again... lol
I thought some of you would like to have the latest Launcher from the Pixel 2 XL like me... It works with the latest Android 8.1 that Google just released for our phone. All you need to do is download the apk and move it in /system/app/ and changed the permissions to "RW-R-R" with your favorite root explorer! Once you've done that you will have to reboot your device and you'll be good to go! Everything works flawlessly. Notification dots are working and you can also change the icons shape etc... Anyways, Here's the link:

Guess op might have to post it somewhere else like android file host or mega. Google is saying it's in violation of their terms. They might not like us using it on lower nexus devices.

No it's just the basic Pixel 2 Launcher. I just wanted to get back quickly my Pixel mod on my phone after flashing Android 8.1 this evening. I'll see whenever I have more time. I might look into creating a complete mod with all the new features.

It is... You need to unlock the dev menu and the tuner UI. Then you will see the Icon change option!

Unlock them by enabling developer options. Go to settings-system-about phone and tap build number a bunch of times until you see developer mode enabled. Now you will see the option in launcher settings to change icon type.

I had this turned on for a long time but no icon change

where do you go to get into the launcher setting? cant find anything that has to do with pixel 2 xl launcher settings...

How well does this work?

It is not as fast as I would like.

Is there a thread for this mod? I couldn't find one which is a little concerning. It's a little too sketchy for me.......

I could not find one. I found the module on Google.
You can take a look inside the zip, it is just face unlock and required libs from opengapps packaged as a magisk module.
You could even download the latest gapps and replace the files in the module zip with those from the gapps zip.

Works exceptionally well on my 3a XL. I did the model training about 10 times from different angles and it recongises me within half a second if not less.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did the same a few days ago and am seeing much faster and more reliable unlocks.

Is there anyway to have the option where it goes straight to the home screen instead of having to swipe after it is face unlocked?

Is it working in android 10?
Since I have flashed Android Q ROM, the trusted face has vanished mysteriously. Will this module work for Q as well?

Not possible tbh. Face unlock is completely removed from smart lock. no way to bring it back except for custom ROMs.

Sorry that i didn't see the above post.I just tried the module and gave a comment!!

For some reason the link posted by the OP isn't working. I was able to track down a copy of the same .zip in another website. I'm sure it's the same because the MD5 is the same.

Have had pixel. Pixel 2/3 and now 4 xl use to flash a zip file in magisk to get backbutton on right but can't find anything on this device.
Any suggestions?

I've always used Samsung with back button on right side (which just plain makes sense as a righty).
Is there anything I could do or something to force it to be on the right?

You could choose a different launcher to customize that. I used to use Nova Launcher. I am sure there are a few others that are good.

Nova Launcher is in the play store. You have to download it.

If all you want is to swap those keys, this module should work. It was made for the Pixel 5 on 12.1 but should work on the 5a.

Are you rooted with Magisk? If so, open Magisk app, click on "modules" button, bottom right. Then, click install from storage. Find the module (needs to be on your phone), and flash.

If you will upload your SystemUIGoogle.apk I'll make one for your firmware. It's possible the 12.1 one would work but no guarantees.
What other modifications would you be interested in? Look at the Pixel 5 forum for possibilities.

I haven't been able to get text clocks to work (clocks with date), only ampm... really, with a punch hole camera on the left, what you want would probably take up too much space.

You are welcome to try this. I don't have this phone but have tested it on s Pixel 4xl so flash at your own risk. For Android 11, 5a. Never did a 5a so because of the punch hole camera, the clock might not be centered. Upload a screenshot if it isn't.

Can you put the clock back to its original place next to the camera hole and put the date? And to disable program notification?

I can't do date (text clock). I might be able to disable all notifications but not select ones.
