i have flashed via odin about a hundred times by now. today i downloaded the new android 10 update because before i was flashing 9 still.
but updating doesn't help, let me tell you what my problem is. whenever i patch the AP file in magisk manager then flash via odin to my then stocked phone i get rooted but am not able to flash anything to recovery. for example:
FLASHING TWRP from the phone never works and hasn't worked a single time.
u can flash the default twrp from the official app which results in a boot loop.
u can flash the magisk_patched.img (after having put official twrp.img through magisk manager)
by entering this into a SU terminal: # f=/storage/emulated/0/Download/magisk_patched.img; dd if=$f of=/dev/block/sda15 bs=$(stat -c%s $f)
but that also results in a boot loop.
flashing default twrp tar via odin does work however it isn't patched via magisk because that AGAIN doesn't work, not even with odin (for those asking "how do you flash .img through odin" i heard success stories from others that executing tar command in linux just archives the .img and if it's named recovery.img inside the tar archive odin has no problem flashing... this is what i did)
anyway i wanted twrp so i could flash my favorite custom rom onto the device, but i'l have to do with rooted stock rom for now

I have a Sony Xperia Z1 and I have had cyanogenmod12.1 on my device for a little while now, but there are a couple of bugs and I wanted to go back to cyanogenmod11, so I downloaded the cm11 zip file onto my device and copyed it to the sd card,I then downloaded TWRP manager because the cyanogenmod recvoary does not have a zip file or flash part in the recovary, so I followed the procedures and then I flashed TWRP recovary. Once I got into the TWRP recovary I found the zip file for cm11 I then clicked flash. Not long later it said succesfull and then i had to reboot, i clicked reboot and this is where it whet wrong. My device then went into a bootloop because I left my device for 10mins. I then tried to access the custom recovary but it just came up with the sony logo and no custom recovary has come up since.

If you made a backup, flash dual recovery then restore the backup?
Otherwise flash stock and start again
The only solution is to flash your firmware and start from zero point
Since you said there is bootloop and no recovery
Or you can flash twrp img file through fastboot mode
But for safety flash is best
You do not need to do a fresh flash. Doing so without deselected some things might wipe data like photos.
1. If you don't already have the fastboot and ADB drivers, get them here
2. Download a kernel with recovery and extract the boot.img
3. Open up command prompt in the folder the boot.img is in
4. Make sure your device is turned off completely
5. Hold volume down while attaching it to your computer
6a. If you just want to have temporary acces to recovery type in this code:
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
6b. If you want to keep acces and use the recovery after rebooting type in this code:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
7. Enter recovery the way you would normally do, backup your important files and/or flash the new rom and kernel you would like to use
Hello guys
So I have a N910T3 with baseband N910T3UVS3EPK2. My phone has never been rooted or touched before. I would like to install TWRP so heres what I've done so far.
1.) Enable USB debugging, oem unlock
2.) Downloaded TWRP for note 4 tmobile
3.) Install ADB Drivers
4.) Downloaded ODIN and loaded it with TWRP img.
5.) It downloaded on my phone, and after saying "PASS", I restarted the phone.
6.) If I go to recovery, Stock recovery is still there... Why is that TWRP is not installed?
Thank you.

Go to odin options and uncheck auto reboot.
Flash twrp recovery in odin.
Once odin shows pass remove battery and insert again.
Press 3 buttons simontenesly ( volume up+home+power) until Samsung logo shows then let go all buttons.
You will boot into twrp for sure.
Reason why your twrp was not installed because if you dont uncheck auto reboot in odin options the system will rewrite stock recovery if your device reboot after flash twrp.
it worked. nice
Cannot find TWRP .tar or .md5 files for Odin
When I go to download TWRP for my N910T Galaxy Note 4 T-Mobile, running EQB1 firmware, I only see various TWRP versions that are .img files; none that are .tar or .md5 that ODIN wants. Example: twrp-3.0.2-0-tbltetmo.img
So where do I find an ODIN compatible version?
Thanks.
I'm having a bit of problem flashing my Note 5 using ODIN. Whenever I flash the stock ROM, ODIN finishes successfully but when the device boots up, it gets stuck on 'No command' and thereafter it is not possible to enter recovery mode or do anything further. I have now flashed TWRP and wiped the entire device and tried again and still, it gets stuck on 'No command'.
I am thinking that as a last resort, I may just get lucky by placing a flashable ZIP of the stock ROM onto the internal storage and install the ROM via TWRP/Recovery mode. I think I first need to get the SM-N920C stock recovery image and flash that first and thereafter flash the stock ROM from the stock recovery options.
Where can I find a stock ROM flashable zip and recovery image for my device? My device is the SM-N920C, build: N920CXXS5CRH2 XFA.
Finally, do you guys think that doing this is a waste of time since flashing with ODIN passed but resulted in the 'No command' error?
When a patched boot.img is booted it always enters fastboot mode even if system is targeted. However, if the stock boot.img is patched again, everything works as usual. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Did you type on your pc fastboot reboot as a final step? Maybe you have to repair or reflash the stock rom using miflash and try again (you cant clear cache without twrp) as a way to get the system prepared to Flash a modified boot image
I have the exact same problem. I tried older versions of Magisk, then the Canary build, but nothing helped..

Found a solution! It's right here:
How to flash twrp recovery and root redmi note 10s?
I can't install a twrp recovery if I tried A message appears (remote : this partition doesn't exist)
forum.xda-developers.com
I had magisk flashed on android 11 and i followed the uninstall instructions to uninstall magisk. Then i reflashed stock firmware (android 13) from samfw.com in download mode using jodin3 and heimdall and there were no errors and it was a successful flash. On reboot, it's stuck on a boot loop and i can't even switch it off. What can i do?
just enter recovery and flash original boot.img
how do i do that? where do i extract boot.img from and what do my odin options have to be?
i tried reflashing stock firmware again and it's the same problem
extract boot.img from stock firmware

the problem is your bootloader..
in order to fix that you need to extract boot.img from downloaded stock firmware (search google how to do that)
then flash it using odin
