Since the android 10 update the Quick setting toggle for Navigation Bar has been removed. Is there a way to add this feature as I don't always use gestures and like to switch. Your help will be much appreciated. I have a Verizon Galaxy S10+
Bump. This was a dumb move. Why remove such a useful toggle?

My thoughts exactly. Some apps don't work well with gestures.

I found a workaround that does the trick for me, using the One Hand Operation + module from the Good Lock family. See screenshots.
I'm wondering where the hidden system setting is for the navbar toggle. Anyone know? If I knew, I could just create a Tasker event that could be added to Quick Toggles/Settings. TIA.

This was one of the first things in beta that people complained about. Samsung responded with the exact response they replied with on all requests and questions "we'll pass this on to our engineers, blah, blah, blah". LOL, I sometimes wonder if Samsung engineers even use Samsung phones.

Well, the ability to toggle the navigation bar on/off is still here (as can be seen in my previous post). If we can determine where the hidden system setting is located, creating a quick toggle should be pretty simple.

Well if you find a way to make a toggle pass that along.. Thanks
There's always been an old way to add toggles back. My carrier always hides the mobile hotspot toggle so I have to re-enable it every update. Perhaps if we can find the syntax for the Navigation Bar toggle in Android 9 we could bring it back this way? it would be something like custom(com.samsung.settings/com.samsung.android.settings.NavigationBarTile)
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...ttings-tile-toggle-on-samsung-galaxy-devices/
My thoughts - you can run "settings get secure sysui_qs_tiles" on a samsung android 9 device that has the navbar button, and that will show what the name of the quick settings toggle is.

I cannot access anything from double tapping the screen now that I installed the new Null Rom. I want to be able to get to the standard Note 3 settings for Volume and Brightness, as I shut down the volume while sleeping to avoid hearing incoming notifications, and to adjust screen inside or outside. Any settings in Nova or other that may have caused this, and how do I get this feature back? Thank you.
Read his FAQS page. Pretty sure it answers it in there

Thanks, but did read, and he only talks about double tapping the Home button, not the screen.
Lock the screen in Nova settings, then set the double tap gesture to whatever you want.

Just got done chatting with fOmey. Looks like we can get something similar but we need to install gravbox from the rom to get the settings. I have have quick access to what I need. I will work on adding in a tutorial next week some time.
Nice options with gravbox
Adding to almulders reply, if you want the stock double tap experience you have to use the normal systemui.. not the full systemui.
The double tap action expands the notification panel in the watch system ui, when you use the full system ui this obviously overwrites this and opens the standard notification panel.
Gravitybox enables additional toggles, which will allow you to toggle sound mode etc.

Thank you very much fOmey. I appreciate all your work, but being in USA I found that the only real feature that i would use is the Google Search. I am hopeful one day for a fix to our bluetooth issues on AT&T, but until then I will keep checking in to see what else you and the great community can add. I cannot regretfully ever hack my phone rom, as i am on a Corporate exchange system and had to sign off on a policy stating I would not do this type of thing. I would have already tried the International one otherwise, but I am a Director and cannot get in trouble over this with the company. Thanks again.
As you can see I did search this topic...can't even find an answer on google. Which worries me...
Often, I'll swipe down from the notification bar which turns the app I'm viewing, if capable, into a multi window view. This is incredibly annoying. Coming from the Note 4, there was a quick toggle (or in settings) to turn this off. I can not seem to find how to turn this function off with the S6. Any help out there?
I was just going to post the same question How the hell do you turn off that annoying multi view crap?
I wanna know this as well and how do I turn off the lightof the back and the cent button also?

I mean the back button and recent button, it lights up as soon as you touch the screen, there was an option to turn this off in S5.

I found the new MultiWindow gesture pretty annoying. On my S6 every time I swept down on the notification bar using one hand I'd always create a floating window. On other Galaxy devices there is a Quick Toggle to turn the MultiWindow feature off/on. The ability to control the feature is still in the S6 however it is not exposed in the user interface. I wrote a small application that can either enable/disable MultiWindow or bring back the MultiWindow Quick Toggle. It was primarily written for the Galaxy S6 however it should work on most of the devices that include Samsung's MultiWindow. Look for "MultiWindow Toggle for Samsung" on the Play Store.

Works perfectly. Thank you very much
They're kind of distracting, and imo useless. Any way to get rid of them?
Wouldn't be too bad if there was a dedicated space in the status bar for them, but when they come and go, icons to the left bounce around.

Yes I find them to be very distracting as well. I did a quick search to look on how to disable them but came up empty [emoji852]️

I ended up just disabling the data icon entirely. I almost never end up in a dead zone without signal/wifi, and if you really want to know you can use a widget or KLWP or something to make an indicator on your desktop.

Enable the System UI Tuner by pulling down the notification shade and long pressing the settings gear icon for a while.
Then, find System UI Tuner in the System Settings. From there you can disable various icons.
Sony monitor their own Community forums for feedback. There are a few threads over there already about these network indicators causing icons to shift around; plenty of people find them irritating. Be sure to add your thoughts to those threads and hopefully Sony will change the icons in a future update.
I went to phone settings and found a Sony email address and sent some feedback mostly about the status bar indicators, nfc icon, auto brightness, and missing Oreo night mode (blue light filter). But I'll check out the Sony forum. Both Oreo and the phone are fairly new, so maybe it's just they need to polish the software a bit.
I thought I was the only one finding this annoying. I was about to create a new thread about it. I think what I can do for now is to disable the entire icon and install some third party app for wifi indicator.

Thank you!!! Can't wait to get home and try this, will update this post with the results.
Any way to move the clock/time to right side? Insert rant about android 9.
The usual samsung methods don't work. The SystemUI tuner app does not work either. TouchWiz is missing from the Beta+Rooted+adb permissions given version of the app. The custom entry keys (middle/right_clock_position) do nothing both on or off.
Also for the phone dialer, is there any way to change to one click to accept instead of the slide method?
ROG/ZenUI is really lacking in customization.

Don't think there is currently a way to move the clock. It bothered me too when I first got the phone, but now after a little over a week of use it's perfectly fine, I'm use to it. Not sure about the dialer tap to answer instead of slide, as I prefer slide to answer because it's less likely you'll accidentally answer an unwanted call.

Thanks, though now there's no way to show the 120HZ but not the auto-rotate indicator. Depending on if you have free or pro, it'll either show both or neither.
I guess nothing can work properly. It's about to be expected since it was never updated for android 9.
Thanks though.
EDIT: it's even more of a buggy mess, the temporary notifications don't disappear ever (message received, downloading item, etc .
Hrmm? Yes they do.
I've attached screenshots
It does not for me. The icons are stuck there after the notification ends. Are you using EdXposed and Flat status bar indicators v5.1.3?
I also have system tuner UI installed which may interfere with it.
EDIT: It turns out SandHook is more stable than YAHFA in this case.
I just noticed the NFC quick tile does not work for me. It's always showing as off here, even when NFC is on. In fact, the tile itself is actually disabled. (so looks as if it's off at first glance)
If I press the tile, it does nothing (as it's disabled) Long press is working ok which gets me into the NFC settings screen and from there I can toggle NFC on/off.
Is this just me? Perhaps it's by design as I have Google pay set up so, it cannot be disabled at the quick tiles drop down accidentally? Or perhaps it's a bug?
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks
I spoke to Google about this and they say it is probably a bug.
I submitted a bug report to them so see what happens.
I tried removing the NFC tile from my quick tiles, in order to re-addit to see if this would solve.
However, after doing this, I now no longer have an NFC quick tile in the available tiles to add!
Oh well!.....it wasnt working anyway!!

LOL, shows you how much Google support knows. I'm pretty sure it was removed intentionally and now is only accessible in "connection preferences". FWIW, there are some NFC widget apps available that will take you directly to the NFC setting.

I've removed it long ago, went into the list of available tiles, and boom, it isn't there indeed. Ooops
I think I only had the tile due to the fact I took the "transfer from old device" option when I initially set up my Pixel
To me it seems like a very strange decision for Google to remove the NFC quick tile.
Gives me peace of mind to be able to quickly turn it on+off just before+after a Google Pay transaction

Same. I ve to go in the settings to enable / disable it everytime now :/
Google removed it for security reasons supposedly. Since it's on all the time once it's turned on that seems worse for security. They also noted that the battery wouldn't be affected significantly if left on.

I would imagine. LOL, sometimes these decisions don't make sense to me, but then maybe that's why I'm not a Google Engineer. ? My son is a Network Scientist (don't ask, because I don't understand the title) for Verizon and he tells me info on some of the weird decisions they make and I still don't understand why.
Well for what its worth, I've also put a feedback request into Google to reinstate it.
Never know, it may be back for Android 24!

FWIW, it wasn't just the pixels they removed it from, it looks like it was Android in general. I know someone with an Xperia phone and they lost it also.
