How do I remove this bar at the bottom? (android 10) - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

I have gestures enabled. However there is a blank space where the navigation bar normally is. Is there a way to remove this space to utilize the whole screen.
I thought that in pie this space was nonexistent, but I may be imagining things.
How do I remove this bar of space at the bottom?

[Q] How can I toggle the Notification bar?

I have a rooted Nook Color and it is fantastic. However, I want to use the Crosswords application from the Android market. The only problem is that it appears to mess up the size calculation for the screen. It looks to me like it is not correctly calculating the size because it assumes the notification bar will be at the top of the screen. So it ends up overlaying the notification bar over the clues... or in horizontal mode, it overlays them over the bottom row of the software keyboard.
So, I want to selectively disable (or move to the top) the notification bar. Is there any way to do that? Or am I doomed?
Thanks. -ben
I too would love to know how to disable the bar or maybe even move it to the top. After mapping back and menu to the volume buttons the notification bar is really just a nuisance in its current location. However, through my limited research I've found nothing!
Edit: This may be just what you're looking for, I was looking for a more broad solution though....

Softkeys is great for back and menu
The softkeys app is great for the back and menu... I wish it included a button to make the current app be full-screen. But I don't know if it is even possible to do that.
I'm sure it is possible I just don't know if the demand is high enough to add said function, like I said earlier I would love a more permanent way to toggle the bar system wide.

Official Honeycombe - Bottom Status Bar - How to remove!?

The bottom status bar on the homescreen, with the time, wifi bar and battery logo bottom right and the other 3/4 icons bottom left...
This stays there when im in a full screen game, often cutting off some of the touch controls.
Anyone else get this problem, and how to make it hide/go to back or completely dissapear when in game? Thanks.

[Q] ICS Buttons/status bar back to top edge

Enjoying a fresh install of ICS, but becoming more and more annoyed at accidentally tapping the status bar that's now located at the bottom edge of the screen, just below the space bar when typing.
Ive hunted through the options and I'm sure I've just missed the right check box, but where/how can i return the status bar and the associated buttons/menus back to the traditional top of the screen and safely out of my typing reach?
Currently running SGT7 20120604 nightly.
thanks for the help.

I also want to know. I don't like bottom position.
Ditto, it's driving me crazy!
just change the resolution to 240dpi, you'll get into phone mode instead of tablet mode. Therefore you will get your status bar on the top.
If you mean by "ICS Buttons" is the soft keys of Navigation Bar, you can disable it from the system settings.

Stupid black bar at the bottom

I've managed to get past all all the problems I've posted and have one left.
I'm trying to run full screen (I use Button Savior in place of the nav bar) and I cannot get rid of the black nav bar at the bottom of the screen. I've got the expanded desktop under display set to hid the nav bar and and while the buttons are gone, the bar is still there hiding part of my full screen apps.
Running rooted Linage 14.1 (nougat 7.1.2)
??????????????????

Navigation bar on the left as in widescreen mode.

Hi everyone.
Do you know the way to force the position of the navigation bar on the left instead of the bottom? On wide screens it is already possible. Is it possible to cheat the application to put a bar on a regular screen too? The bar at the bottom takes up too much space. There were a lot of questions about the possibility of hiding it, but to no avail. It may be possible to change its location. That would be something!
