Hey Folks,
well I've experienced a very bad problem. When I started to change my ROM again, my whole device hang up, nothing happened any more. No chance to do a Hard or Soft Reset, the Led-Ring does not even light up anymore when I plug in the USB. Neither via Notebook nore via outlet. I don't know whatelse to do, hopefully it's not dead...
Thx for all the answers and sry for my bad english...^^
can you enter in bootloader mode? if you can, it's everything ok.
Remove the battery for 30 seconds then replace it and see if it will then respond to any of the following... on switch/usb cable/bootloader mode/hard reset.
Well... the Diamond doesn't respond to anything... It isn't even recognised by Windows...
phr3n1c can you enter in bootloader mode with it? pressing volume down (on the left side) and reset in the same time, and keep holding untill 3 colour screen appears.
Nothing happens... OMG i could start crying...
WTF! If don't enter even in bootloader, I only can say that its totally bricked. Sorry
How could this happen? I just tried to install juices RoM, then it said that this isn't the right ROM for my Device, turned off the screen and.... nothing...
So there's no way for me to get this Diamond working again... I just got it for 3 weeks... 469€... mmh...
Keep trying to get bootloader mode...its very fiddely....
also try and charge your battery...was it at full charge before?

Don't give up hope just yet, I've seen a few people on here that thought they bricked their Diamond but a few of the major contributors of the forum were able to work them out of it. Not saying it's a guarantee of course, but definitely a possibility.
2nd what the guy above me said, just hold volume down and the power button and try to get to bootloader mode... You should really be able to get to this, and once you can you'll be all set.
So the best thing for me is to leave this Thread here and wait for some answers I can try out...
Well... I use to read in this board since February and I always found all the answers to my questions...
This is the fact y this is my first post as well^^...
so i think i'll leave my xda alone 4 a while...^^ thx for all answers, upcoming and read...
mmh.. so there's nobody who's got any idea... thought more people could help me... mmh...

That is NOT the way to get into bootloader mode, if you have been trying that then there is no way you will enter the tri-coloured screen,
You need to press the power button as well as the volume down button along with the reset button to get into bootloader mode.
1) Take of the back cover of your diamond
2) Take out the stylus, notice a red dot in the bottom left corner? thats the reset button
3) Get your stylus ready to press the red reset button, but don't press it yet
4) Press and hold the POWER button and the VOLUME DOWN button, as well as holding down and pressing the reset button
5) After 3 seconds, let go of the red reset button but KEEP holding down and pressing the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons
6) Once the tri-coloured screen (bootloader) comes up, you can let go of the buttons.
That is how to get into bootloader mode, in depth. If that is not working that you have damaged your device quite a fair bit.
Remember if you didn't try pressing the power button to get into bootloader mode before, then there would have been no way you could have gotten into bootloader - try this method now and you might (hopefully) be flashing a new ROM in a matter of minutes.
Good Luck!
what can i say..? nothing happens... don't know whatelse to do now... but... can the ROM really damage the diamond that far that it doesn't even light the LED ring under the screen if i plug it into the USB...
damned... whatelse to do now...? sell it on ebay?

Another reason why I stay away from eBay.
Did unplug the usb cable, then pull out the battery ?
Hhmm.. I wouldn't have thought a ROM could cause so much damage.
You could try this..
1) Leave the battery out for 30 minutes
2) Put it back in along with the charger
3) Try to turn on the device (hold the power button down for 15 seconds)
Selling the device on eBay should be your last resort. Try everything you can to get the device working for now.

DO YOU FLASHED HARDSPL FIRST ? AND DOES YOUR DIAMOND IS UNDER GUARANTEE ? IF NOT, YOU CAN THROW AWAY.
Hold Volume down, the Enter Button and then press Reset... Hold the Volume down and the Enter button until the three colour screen appears... Try it....
Look here:
http://blog.jannewap.ws/2008/07/25/htc-diamond-reset-xda-diamond-hard-reset-anleitung/
yes, i flashed hardspl first... i dont know if it is still under guarantee if i bricked... doesn't another rom make your guarantee end? so nothing else to do...
PS: if i would have sold it on ebay, i had declared it as broken... just by the way... not to have any people think wrong things about me...
It started as soon as I received a phone call from my brother and we were in the middle of a conversation when the phone suddenly goes off. I tried to restart it, I even removed the battery and replaced it but when I press the power button I get the initial boot sequence showing the htc logo and then the phone would just go of. I thought that maybe the battery is low but when I plug it to a power outlet it keeps trying to boot but keeps switching off and it just does this over and over.
Please I don't know if anyone has encountered this problem before, I really don't know what to do.

Try a Hard Reset using the device buttons:
1. With the phone off. If it’s frozen or unresponsive, pull then replace the battery.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and power the phone back on.
3. Continue to hold Volume Up and Volume Down until a factory reset screen appears.
Hope this helps!

Well I just did that but the problem persist. I should note that occasionally it does complete its boot up and I can use the phone but it can go off at any time and once it does this, i cannot get it to completely boot up. Once it attempts a boot up and goes off I cannot even restart it by pressing the power button until I replace the battery or plug it into a power socket or the computer at which point it will just keep booting up and shutting down.
Something far wrong there. Get a replacement device.

Hi, I have got the same problem on my HD7 and I am completely noob to many new words Goldcard, jailbroken, etc. Would you please advise me exactly what you did (i mean flahing procedure) and really appriciate any help.
Well if you have got an O2 HD7, then I would advise you to get one of the O2 ROMS from ansar, download it then press and hold the volume down button when booting up your device, connect the phone to your pc and start the app. More instructions in the HD7 development thread.
There's nothing wrong the phone. Don't hard reset or flash it. It happens from time to time, just give it some time and eventually you will see a battery icon appear. Then after awhile it will boot up.
Again, do not flash or hard reset just be patient. I believe it just needs to drain all the way down as it doesn't have enough power to fully boot.
Not booting up
Hi,

hi all,
so i woke up today, took note of something via small notes app on the phone.
went back to sleep with the phone on the charger.
i wake up, try to turn the screen on (LED light indicated full charge with green light), & the screen does not turn on! i figure my hand was blocking the light sensor so i make certain my hand isnt in the way, & try again, still not response. next thing i do is hold the power button & volume rocker up but all this does is turn the phone completely off(no more green led)!
since then i have been trying, & trying to do the reset of vol up + power with no results.
im afraid the phone is dead, & i have to purchase a new one, but im hoping that there is a last resort tactic i may use to revive the phone.
thanks in advance.
:good:
may someone be kind enough to help?
or to point me to proper thread.
ive searched & only results lead to solution which involves pc companion which ive tried but it is not recognizing my phone.
thanks

Keep the phone connected to charger to 5-6 hours and then try starting the phone
This method has worked for some users, see whether it works for you :fingers-crossed:

although very odd, & puzzling(im not complaining!!) the phone came back to life on its own.
i had just finished watching television with the family, when i take the phone out of my pocket & just out of hope push the power button when all the sudden i felt a faint(but lovely) vibration!! a few secs later the logo screens showed, & the phone booted up as normal.
needless to say i am certainly happy the phone is working.
MOST IMPORTANTLY id like to thank those that took the time from their lives to reply to my call for help. It is HUGELY appreciated!
thanks again. :good::good::highfive::highfive::good::good:

Hi everyone!!
Today, I woke up, and noticed that my Moto G 2nd Gen is died.
Honestly.. i don't understood what happened exactly. My phone was absolutely clean, no rom, no hacks, no strange apps, NOTHING!
Absolutely genuine and with just a few (famous) apps, like Tapatalk, Skype, Facebook etc..
Someone maybe knows what problem is it? Hope to receive help..
THANK YOU.
If it was completely clean I would send it back to Motorola for repair. It is the safest and best solution

You could try another cord and/or charger if you have any laying about. That would be on the assumption that it ran down overnight. BTW, if it is completely dead, it may take a little before you get any indication of charging.
have seen it happen several times.
This fixes most of the time
In the unlikely event that your device becomes unresponsive, frozen, blank or black screen, or will not respond to the power button, you can perform a force restart or reboot on the device by following the steps below.
Press and hold the Power button for 7 - 10 seconds, the device will restart and go through the boot-up sequence.
Notes:
The forced restart or reboot will not delete any Data on your phone.
If completing the 7-10 second Reset does not recover normal functionality of the device, then press and hold the Power Button for a full 120 seconds while connected to a charger.

Yep!!! My Pc installed some drivers with success, but I can't see the storage in "My PC" section of Windows. (the led turns on also in this case for 10/20 secs).
But I tried to press the power button, also in combination with VOL DOWN, and it still doesn't make any effect.

Hey guys!
I'm using a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 gt - i9305.
When I tried to open the hard reset menu by pressing the volume up + power + home button it went into the download mode and got completely stuck over there. The phone has no charge left. When I try to charge, it automatically boots up and again shows the "Downloading do not turn off target" but it doesn't get charged. If I press and hold the power button the screen goes black for sometime and then again it's in the Downloading mode. No matter whatever key combinations I use, this is what happens. Please suggest me some ways to fix this. I don't have a PC, so it would be great if you suggest me how to get my phone back without using a PC. But I do have another working phone.
Please guys help me.

it seems like you have something wrong with the keys circuits, you need to make a hardware check on that phone.
the volume down key and home key must be stuck(like always pressed).
No they're not stuck. I'm able to press and hold them. The phone actually responds to this, first the screen goes black and after awhile again the download mode is on.:crying:
