Keep in mind, this ROM, and all Pie ROMs in general, are still under construction, it will take a while till all features you might know and love from Oreo are ported over to Pie.

Prerequisites
You should be using the most current factory image from Google (crosshatch).
You need to follow this guide to unlock your bootloader and install TWRP (3.2.3-2 or above required)
--
First time installation :
1. Boot to TWRP
2. Wipe/Advanced Wipe : Dalvik / ART Cache, System and Data (all but not internal storage)
3. Flash the ROM zip
4. Flash the TWRP install zip (in order to keep TWRP after reboot)
5. Reboot to System (You'll see "No OS Installed", this is normal, don't worry)
6. Enjoy the DU ROM.
If you want root, you need to setup your device first, then boot back to TWRP and flash magisk (the link is above in Downloads section)
If you want to update your bootloader, for whatever reason, you can do so after you have the device up and running.
Updating :
Don't forget to remove any Substraum overlays before updating
1. Reboot to TWRP
2. Flash the ROM zip
3. Flash the TWRP install zip (in order to keep TWRP after reboot)
If you are not rooted, you just have to reboot system
If you are rooted using Magisk:
-> Reboot to recovery (TWRP)
-> Flash Magisk zip
-> Reboot system

I have been using the RC reelase of DU for a while now - AWESOME ROM! Can't wait to see what comes next as the rom matures. Thanks for your hard work.

You should respect the wishes of the DU developers since we are doing all the work and not post here. If it wasn't for us there would be no roms for the pixel 3. I will not be releasing or pushing anything to github until this is shut down.

Ok .. Ive been using LR for a while now as my daily driver ... No gapps... MicroG ... I guess Im one of the? first ? to flash latest build ... And well well well .... Dirty flash over 10.0.10 and dare I say it .. This feels better .. Smoother ,lagless ... Kenzo users will know what Im talking about ... That feeling when tht alluminium back chills in ur hand .... Good one guys .... ??✌???????

Just make sure you have formatted your data before install rom, try to do -> Backup all you need, wipe all, Format data with "yes", install rom.

if i backup current Rom via twrp, then clean wipe including format data, then restore it, can it work?

No. because of encrypted storage. But you can backup with apps like Migrate or Titanium, and then restore what you need after fresh installed rom.

Link in main thread post. Wipe is not necessary for internal storage. But if your Data was encrypted\decrypted you need to format it.

Not a user of your rom yet but i'm following up its infancy with great interest and appreciation for the sheer work you're putting in there !

1) camera sometimes is crashing and i can't take photo. I need to restart phone to get this working.
2) i can't grant acceess to notifications for MiFit app. It shows 'This function is not available on this device'.
i am using lastest build 14/02/2020
The rest works perfectly and smooth. Best ROM i ever used. Great work!

Not recognising sim
It says I don't have a SIM card installed, even if I have one right into my phone. My phone is a Dual SIM J5 2017.

Excuse me, but I don't know what these are, the thing is that I installed a non-treble ROM now because it's my main device and I need a SIM phone, but if you tell me how can I provide you these I can install crDroid again to give you these.

Try flashing latest bootloader and modem using a PC with Odin. You can download them using samfirm tool.

Hello,
I guess I don't have the Vendor partition on my phone since I'm getting this error "Failed to mount '/vendor' (Invalid argument)". Does anyone know how to add or fix this?

Go to spagetX and flash Create Vendor, then flash this rom.

Thanks that did the job. Rom is running smooth as silk, very happy to have a Lineage based OS for this Device

will it work on J530G/GM?

SIM CARD
SIM CARD doesn't work in J5 Pro. I try others ROM's with android 10 and they are all with that problem :crying:

I have the same device and I don´t have that issue, working good for CrDroid, H-ROM S20, H-ROM A7 and YumiOS, check if your bootloader, modem (firmware) etc... are in oreo or pie.

I'm on Android pie right now. Unique that my sim card does not disappear.

I'm going to test this ROM on J5 Duos (2017). which has dual sim. does at least primary SIM work? I see here notices from other users who has a problem with it. As this is my mother-in-law phone, I'd like to make sure she'll be able to make a phonecalls (I'm using Galaxy S line, personally)

I flashed this rom on my SM-J530F (I have only one sim installed, but have 2 slots in my phone) and it's working perfectly. I also didn't installed the GAPPS (I Don't need them).
