Sorry for my bad english. I am not literate and in Russian )))

Great work, it seems to be working so far.
Edit: Figured it out, Got an error when flashing ClassicTheme but the OrangeFox-Unofficial-olivelite.zip flashed successfully. Is the classictheme package completely necessary ? Thanks a lot!
Still unable to root though unfortunately, Tried flashing a Magisk package and it successfully flashes but when I check Magisk app it says not rooted

Thanks

Yelling, I’ll explain a little later. About the classic theme: I didn’t even check it)) works without it

I have a global 8th redmi (olivelite), I unlocked the bootloader and continued to install the unofficial TWRP, but there is a problem, my touch screen does not work.
That's why I tried Orangefox and the touch panel worked without problems, I could erase everything except the micro SD, and continued to install Mi Globe 11.0.7, the most recent.
But at the time of finishing and restarting, restart only in recovery, no more, again and again.
Try once installed the rom my globe, flash twrp and force start by fastboor reboot, but it didn't work either.
Also install by fastboot, boot.img of the rom eu, of the global and also the patched by magysk and it didn't work either.
I am NOT looking for root, I am NOT looking for magysk, just install rom MY GLOBE clean, as in all my xiaomis, then I ask.
Has anyone been able to install Xiaomi.eu successfully on your device? With orangefox what was your process? With TWRP and the OTG, do you think I can start?
I would greatly appreciate your response.

I had a similar issue with OrangeFox repeatedly booting into Recovery. I think I fixed it by going Menu > Manage Partitions > Data > Format Data (this will delete all your stuff)

Excellent, thanks for your response.
Could you be a little more specific about the steps you took?
Formatting before installing the ROM, or after?
For example, I followed these steps.
Unlock the bootloader.
Fastboot, install the vbmeta first (or something like that).
install the Orange fox recovery, then the orangefox zip.
Clean EVERYTHING (dalvik cache, intertnal storage, etc), except SD.
Install MY GLobe ROm Olivelite.
Start in recovery, restart again, without changes, continue to start in recovery, and so, for eternity.
I did not do the formatting, and I do not use TWRP because the touch panel does not work with that, so I only have Orangefox as an alternative, could you try to install the MI Globe ROM please? https://mi-globe.com/miui-firmware-rom-builder-features/41/
Thanks for everything.

So since you're trying to install a rom you'll have to "Wipe" data, system, cache, dalvik before you flash.. and then after you flash and you're booting into recovery over and over you'll have to "format" data. There seems to be a difference between "Wipe" and "Format" in recovery.
So once you're ready to "Format" data go to Menu >Manage Partitions > Data > Format Data exactly like that.
Basically the same steps as you did originally just be sure to "Format" data once you're stuck booting into orangefox recovery.
Let me know how it goes

Local update not working

Hi,
I'm using Red magic 3 for a while now. I'm using China ROM with root & GApps. I tried installing global ROM in the device, but I'm unable to do so. Settings-System Update is not opening in my device. Please help.

Reboot in recovery mode and use a OTG for update.
Usb formatted in Fat32 with firmware in Zip format inside.

Thank you so much. Will try this soon and let you know of the outcome. It's really tough to understand, when even the recovery menu is in Chinese! ??*
It's saying install package error. My phone is rooted, could that be an issue?

I think no is the problem. Have you visited the others links?
When changing from CN TO Global you have to wipe data & cache from recovery, why stock recovery is this ridiculous I don't know. If you corrupted your device simply fastboot unlock bootloader flash global boot.img and recovery.img, reboot recovery wipe data cache, and USB otg install global rom.
Make sure the update .zip aren't in anything except storage/emulated/. If they're in, say, the Downloads folder files won't be detected.
Mine is doing the same, OTG update fails at 25%, I hate it cause my red magic 3s is running a weird build and I dont have software update option in settings . So my only choice to update is through OTG but all roms I have tried failed at 25%. Does anyne has a custom rom or fake rom ? cause mine seem to have some custom rom from factory.
I have the same problem, tried a lot of methods and im out of ideas, tried 4 different global roms via OTG and internal storage, even with TWRP, used unlocked bootloader... flashed both boot and recovery from global roms but no luck.... any ideas?

I Have the same problem :crying::crying::crying:
Have you guys tried the RM3 unbirck tool? I keep switching between global (Android 9) and China (Android 9 and 10) only with this tool and never had any problem. Give it a try.
I have a problem like you guys and only the Chinese ROM works ...
But I installed the latest version which has Android 11 from there, everything is fine, but Google, Google play and the account is not working Aaa and the Chinese keyboard is difficult to use.
How I found the option to upgrade install US global version Installed ... corrupted device no longer works. if anyone has a solution help... Don't make the mistake I made.

Hey I faced the same issue with CN Rom V5.11. I understand your pain bro. Try the below:
Solution for “device is corrupt“ RM3, RM3S A11 | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)
It got fixed by first using your weird language tool and then the EU based unbrick tool.

How to root?

I have problems with root:
trying to install Magisk from TWRP or OrangeFox when restarting the cell goes in a loop with fixed MIUI.
I was thinking of using ADB flash recovery boot.img from Indian ROM.
It's possible?
Thanks again
nigol
I am not responsible for damaged or bricked devices.
Note : You will loose all of your data
1. Unlock bootloader
2. flash recovery from fastboot
3. reboot to recovery from fastboot
4. do a full factory reset. (skipping this allows miui to install stock recovery on boot)
5. reboot recovery.
6. flash magisk.
you are rooted.

Nota: perderai tutti i tuoi dati
6. Flash Magisk.

Try flashing dm-verity disable, if that doesn't work. But I'm pretty sure MIUI bootloops with magisk unless you Flash magisk right after flashing stock ROM.

LGV40 - 405UA - ATT/Sprint - Custom Rom/TWRP/Unlock Booloader/Cross Flash/Recovery Guide/SAHARA Fix Etc.

This is just a story of my crazy adventures learning to flash the LG V40 which was by far the hardest phone I've ever rooted. But I learned a lot. I wouldn't reccomend this to anybody who isn't confident w/ Android/Computers etc, but if your here, you probably are willing lol. I wrote this up quickly to share and I'll be around to maybe help/answer Q's but its not 100% and perhaps I'll update it or my blog post moving forward, but here it is!

Notes:
You can get to 9008 mode from any screen, even if you break phone basically as long as its not hardware broken
I found it easiest to get to from Download Mode
Hold Vol Down + Power then when it resets press Vol Up repeatedly till you hear sound on computer, nothing shows on screen (continue to hold Vol Down + Power)
I got an error the first time as I got to 9008 mode and left my phone alone, i was able to fix by restarting process and being faster
LG UP v 17.1 got past the "Cross Flash" error for me, then I used regular LGUP to do a "Partition DL" flash (I always used this mode, flash ALL partitions, never lost Unlocked Bootloader, don't care about root, can easily re-root anytime)
LAF partitions = Download Mode
ABL partitions = Bootloader mode
When you get into QFIL, backup EVERY partition via "Read", or at minimum, ABL/LAF/MODEM*/EFS.
I once used "erase flash all" in QFIL and recovered via the ATT_FULLBACKUP, but I had 0 for IMEI. Thankfully I had a modem backup or I would have been screwed, flashing that restored my IMEI.
Unlocking Bootloader is best done on Android 8 or 9
TWRP Metadata is for Android 10 +, don't bother with the regular non-metadata files/instructions, just IGNORE THEM.
To get to Bootloader I had to erase LAF_A and to get back to download mode I had to erase ABL_A and restore LAF_A and visa versa. Always keep backups of these partitions. I had multiple backups based on Android Version and Rom Version for LAF/ABL (Modem not so much).
To get to DL mode or Bootloader hold VOL UP (with phone unplugged) and plug into PC, it will auto boot into that mode (no "timing" needed!)
I don't trust Xenious ROMs as the IMEI was blank on V18 of LOS and I don't think LOS 18 will ever work without a stock FW of Android 11 (which will never get).
There should have been a bigger warning
The "Bug" "BT-Audio in some situations" for LOS based custom roms for LG V40 is more like "BT Audio Doesn't Work".
Don't even bother with LOS ROMS!
Use the Havoc-OS which is based on Pixel (I got an e-mail from google congratulating me on my new Pixel 4 XL!)
I was originally not using this rom as I found it "unprofessional" to have like 4x the same posts in the forum, but it actually works 100% and is super stable.
Order of flashing:
Boot stock, enable USB Debug and Unlock OEM Bootloader
Boot 9008, wipe LAF_A, flash v35eng to ABL_A reboot via VOLDown + Power, release and hit VOL UP when reboot to get to v35 BL
Use commands "fastboot oem unlock" to unlock booloader!
Note: I have severely damaged my phone after this (wiped all partitions in QFIL and NEVER lost unlocked bootloader beyond this point, so your done!)
Now your goal is to use LGUP to get to Android 10. I used the European version that is "open", but you can use Korean (special bands available?) or the VZW (Verizon) one, any should work as long as its Android 10
Note: If you get Cross Flash error, try LGUP v17 which is CLI only (link to come, I forget where I found it in some random XDA thread lol), but it worked for me. I'm unsure what it does, so after, I used LGUP to flash the same kdz via "Partition DL"
If you don't have "Partition DL" in LGUP your not setup correctly
Reboot back into 9008 mode, flash back LAF_A and wipe ABL_A, reboot to DL mode and use LGUP to get to Android 10
Boot Phone then go back into 9008 mode
Wipe LAF_A and reboot to get to "stock" bootloader
"fastboot boot judy-twrp-metadata"
Install via the ZIP file
From TWRP reboot to recovery (same slot "A")
Flash HavocOS (inject TWRP)
From TWRP switch slots, reboot to recovery
Note:
I struggled with this part, not sure how I fixed it tbh, I had to get to bootloader and then use the command "fastboot erase userdata" to get HavocOS to boot, I kept getting "Enter Password to run Android" (Failed to decrypt Drive)
Perhaps you can do this via TWRP?
For metadata w/ LOS I had to reboot to recovery in slot B, then factory reset, then install Magisk + OpenGApps BEFORE first boot.
I actually didn't think that TWRP got installed, but it did, the only way I could get there was via Magisk - Reboot to Recovery, not via ADB commands or Vol/Power combos.
You'll never get to pass Integrity I don't think (No Google Pay)
Apps that detected root I was unable to "hide" from and just couldn't use
BT Audio works 100%!
I used Titanium Backup to freeze the Messenger App (but not Messenger Service or MMS didnt work) otherwise each boot Messenger would load even though I use Textra for Default
I also froze the Camera App as it isn't able to be configured to use Storage Correctly, I use "Open Camera" and it works fine.
Recovery via ATT_FullBackup.zip, each folder LUN_# has a "rawprogram#.xml" load that in QFIL, there is no Patch, just hit cancel and move forward. Your phone likely won't boot, but you'll get DL mode for flashing via LGUP Partition DL to fix device. This can be used to fix SAHARA Error if you wipe LAF/ABL and don't/cant restore! Super helpful zip file, but preferably (though more time consuming) would be to have backups from your phone. But, if you stupidly flash erase all, the ATT file has the rawprogram0 files which really saved me, perhaps I'll extract/upload them later so you don't have to DL the large file to see them as examples.
Hello!
Can You make a detailed youtube video review of how to do it?
Hi,I wanted to ask(ATT_FullBackup.zip): what version of android is this backup and firmware number?

Notas:
Segure Vol Down + Power e, quando reiniciar, pressione Vol Up repetidamente até ouvir o som no computador, nada aparece na tela (continue segurando Vol Down + Power)
Nota: Eu danifiquei gravemente meu telefone depois disso (limpei todas as partições no QFIL e NUNCA perdi o bootloader desbloqueado além deste ponto, então acabou!)
Flash HavocOS (injetar TWRP)

Yes, after you unlock bootloader in fastboot mode, stay in fastboot and use command fastboot flash abl_a "C://wherever your abl_a backup file is, you can drag the file directly onto the cmd window"
to flash the backup you made of abl_a and abl_b (change command to fastboot flash abl_b "filepath") and then it should boot. I just did this.

Question Booting into twrp deletes the OS

After installing the rom, if booted into twrp, the internal storage vanishes, and cannot be booted without flashinng again. Any solutions? I'm using Redmi note 11 Spes

If you are using Android 12, try using the latest TWRP for spes that actually supports A12 encryption:
Jabiyeff-build - Browse /Recovery-Spes at SourceForge.net
sourceforge.net
If you are using Android 11, try using the latest Orangefox for spes for A11:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/jabiyeff-build/files/test/OrangeFox-R11.1_4_A11-spes-18.06.22.zip/download

Thanks it worked.
Sorry, i'm still getting this error, even with latest twrp, i'm using the command fastboot flash boot and then it boots to twrp, but i can't seem to boot into system again... it bootloops and goes back to rom default recovery, twrp vanishes...
the solution is to flash the rom again but I can't seem to be able to install twrp.
The correct command is fastboot boot *twrp img* Format data, flash rom, restart system. Recovery will be replaced so boot from twrp again there in advance section you can use flash this version of twrp option to make it permanent.
Maybe you are flashing TWRP on MIUI and somehow it's not saving changes

I think you must have installed the rom in another partition, if you installed it in A change it in twrp and restart the system, And the same thing in partition B

If magisk is already installed and phone is rooted, can the first 2 steps be skipped?
