nexus one system png files

hi, i just tried to open a nexus one image to extract all the png files, but failed. does anyone know how or where to get all these files, like banners, battery meters etc.?
thanks in advance!
They are in /system/framework/framework-res.apk. If you adb pull that file onto your PC you should be able to unzip it to get the pngs.
alright, thanks. i'll try this at home - i just dl adb but dont know how to use it. when i doubleclick adb.exe the windows opens and shuts very quickly, probably because i dont have admin rights here.
Alternatively, you could install a file manager like Astro that lets you browse the system folders and just email it to yourself from there. I've done that with a few of the files just because it's convenient and I don't have to dig out the USB cable.

adb is a command line app. Anyway Mike's suggestion of using Astro is an easier way.
my problem is the adb window wont stay open, so i have no chance to write a command line. i need all the files for themeing, so Astro seems inappropriate to me.
The Astro method should work. If you browse to /system/framework with it you should see the framework-res.apk. Long press on it and tap send. It should attach it to a new email which you can send to yourself. You can then unzip it with a program like 7-zip.
This will be easier than using adb as you will need to install the adb usb drivers, connect the phone to your PC and use a DOS prompt.
go start menu for xp and click run and type CMD and you'll get your command line. vista or 7 go to start and right above it type CMD. theres a little more to but that will get you your command line

So run it like every other command line app. From the command line. (terminal, console, cmd, etc...)

So I am pretty sure if the OP hasn't figured this out over six months later, they have either given up, or figured it out.
Good job bringing things back from the dead.

right click re-sign APK no longer works in Win7

I was setting up resigning and after it was all setup I accidentally assigned another app to zip files and now I cant get it to open with the resign option.. I Am on Windows 7.
would be easier if someone had teamviewer and can maybe set it up FOR me?
Just right click any zip, choose open with, choose the application, then check the box that says always open with.
No need for someone to do it for you.

that doesn't work..
bump
Come on I know someone can answer this question, I went through it on Win7 I just dont remember what I did to fix it since Im back on XP. I think I had to end up removing a registry entry so that the default zip program wasnt set for zip files anymore. Once the zip icon went back to being an "unknown" filetype then I could rerun the registry entry to add the right click re-sign.
This is a huge problem with signing files, in XP it is cake because the default zip app stays default but you still have the option to re-sign when you right click.
type in cmd:
java testsign <name of zip>
make sure you are where the zip file is.
This is just an alternative until you get yours fixed and stuff..

Why do all of this theres a registry that I have that will just add it for right click. Put this in the directory of the Andro SDK tools

You can also add it in the environment variables (where those files are located) so you can use apktool without needing to change directories in command prompt every time you use it.
Put it in another HDD partition and try.Doing it with C doesn't work sometimes because of some sort of a security thingy in Windows

Hi I tried to install a new Rom Ive had experience before in doing this so thought it would be like the countless other times ive done on Samsung.

Any help in next steps be much appreciated.
In the folder where rom is, create an empty folder and rename it to log.
Then try reflashing. It should work

trying to install stock rom using miflash, it says cannot find file flash_all_lock.bat anyone help?
Hi, it happened yesterday, I did the following:
1- download my flash last
2-decompress my flash and create empty folder with the name of log inside what was decompressed
3-download compatible firmware in .tgz format not in .zip
4- unzip .tgz file on disk C, rename the folder to raphaeli (I don't know if necessary, I don't think so I did).
5- open miflash, install drivers.
6-find the raphaeli folder and click on refresh.
7- uncheck the box below where it says block if this is not the case.
I hope you understand me, sorry for the English use a translator

You don't unzip the .tgz file. You flash the .tgz file using MiFlash. Before you flash the file make sure the "clean all and lock" on the bottom right corner IS NOT SELECTED. If you flash it with it selected it will lock your bootloader and you will most likely brick your phone.
I just got the .tgz file but now getting this error, anyone able to help? please im begging at this stage!!!

EDITED.
My bad. Failed to notice you're not showing file extensions, so didn't realise the .bat files are actually there. Ignore original post.
After seeing the error have you tried booting into the phone?
Many times users say they get an error at the end of flashing with the Mi Flash Tool, but after, they can boot into MIUI and everything is fine. Not seen this error myself, so don't know if it's the same as your seeing.

I need help please

I was resetting the phone Redmi K20 Pro with ADB but it froze. Now the phone is detected with a storage of only 8gb (My phone is 512gb) and all clean. It is stuck on fastboot and can't enter in the recovery.
I tried with Miflash but after a night it was still going on i restart the deviced but nothing...
what can i do?
I can enter edl mode with command fastboot oem edl-enter but MiFlash error " cannot receive hello packet"

Have a search on the forums, there have been a few posts about calibrating the camera modules and other sensors. One or 2 posts have a lot of details.
You can calibrate camera by installing stock rom and opening default camera. It will automatically Calibrate
