i have a tencent rog phone 2 and i changed the fingerprint to WW so i was able to update to WW-16.0631.1910.64. the persistent charging to connected device via usb started shortly thereafter. it goes away after restarting the phone. however, it pops up every now and then and i noticed that it seems to be triggered when i am playing online and i get notifications from mail, messenger, fb, etc. i tried cleaning the charging ports but it hasn't solved the problem. help pls.

Hello Everyone,
I just rooted my G1 and Flashed to CM 5.0.8
When I connect the phone to my computer everything is fine, but when I try to charge it through the USB of the wall charger the phone keeps notifying me if I want to mount the SD to a computer, but its not a computer then the notification turns of, but then the notification reappears. This creates a never ending loop of notification and i would really want to be able to charge the phone from the wall.
Any clue or solutions?
Edit: Never mind, I found the problem. I just got confused with all the usb cables lying around in my room, I was trying to charge from one on my PS3 charging dock, connecting to the htc charger stop the problem

Hi,
Yesterday my sgs developed a fault. It can come out with messages saying USB connected or USB debugging connected, slows down, sometimes becomes unresponsive for few seconds. It can switch itself off and when i try to switch it back on comes up with "busy" sign (that spinning wheel) and sometimes is showing empty battery symbol. Only way for it to be switched on is to plug the charger. Battery is fully charged,I know it, cause its plugged in for few hours, i disconnect it, and all of sudden drops dead. Tried today with another battery from my friends sgs but it comes up with same stuff.
Can you help me?
Firmware is stock JPY flashed via odin, not rooted, only with few apps installed on it
Many thanks
Mario
reflash it and wipe factory settings
Hi,
A few days ago i tried to connect my phone to the computer but the computer started making connect and disconnect sounds repeatedly. The phone wasn't able to connect to the pc and it didn't charge. I tried another pc with the same result, i also tried other cables again with the same result. But the phone still charged when I connected it to the charger.
Last night however my phone also stopped charging(AC). It was 1% when i woke up and it refused to charge (tried different chargers/cables). I only got it to charge the second time i turned it off and connected the charger. So, the usb port does still work, sometimes when i shut the phone down.
Is anybody familiar with this problem or do you think it's a hardware problem and should I bring it to the store.
Thanks,
So my note 5 is a verizon one and I'm using it on tmobile. Its usb plug is broken but I have a wireless charging pad so in theory I should be ok, but every time I put it on to charge it spazzes out, starts and stops charging, and a little message on the bottom says that it is switching from usb to wireless charging and the animation of the usb plug going in for charging keeps popping up as well. I was thinking that perhaps I could adb and disable charging from usb like in this thread:
https://android.stackexchange.com/qu...e-usb-charging
but I cant find a way to wirelessly adb even though I remember it being a thing mentioned at IO a few years back. I also read that a software update would help but I get a message every time I try to update that it cant connect to the server. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi, I have a strange problem with me a2.
The phone after the last update did not want to turn on (the startup screen looped).
The system works thanks to the options of original recovery
Currently everything runs (I think) but has a problem with the cable connection.
After connecting the charger for 5 seconds, it shows charging, after which the phone loses connection, as if I disconnected it from the electricity.
When I want to connect it to my computer, nothing happens.
I suspect that this is still a problem with the system because the phone is charging with the recovery turned on.
I wanted to unlock it and upload the modified recovery to protect myself against miraculous updates in the future.
