Jit Call Recorder is a call recording app which brings 2-way call recording capabilities without compromising on ease of use or user experience.
App highlights:
* Built in 2-way call recording support for many devices (read more details below)
* Built in System Audio Controls Editor (root required, TinyAlsa based) - If your phone does not record both sides of the call, most likely it is where you can enable it - or ask us to enable it for you using a configuration file
* Material design
* Multi-lingual
* In-call floating movable widget to start/pause/resume recordings, and/or take call notes during calls.
* Automatic call recording (with options to refine exactly who to record and who not, different options can be set to outgoing calls and incoming ones - options are: All, Contacts Only, Non Contacts Only and Manual - all with a combination of Selected / Ignored contacts lists)
* Many user interface customization options
* Toggle recording playback between speakers and earpiece
* Take call notes during calls - with or without recording the call
* Recording volume increase options - Try out our Automatic volume increase option, it's cool
* Pin-code protection
* Dropbox support (Google Drive and OneDrive will be added soon)
* Categorize recordings - no limit on categories amount, create as many categories as you need
* Import / Export recordings
* Star important recordings
* Easily find recordings - many filtering options PLUS free-text search
* Delete or snooze recordings directly from the notification bar
* Delete old recordings based on any of the following criterias: age, storage size limit or total recordings count
* Share to any app that supports file/audio sharing
* And many more options
Successful 2-way call recording has been confirmed by many users of our app on many devices.
Some devices come with 2-way call recording enabled without requiring root, others require root.
If your phone is rooted, most chances are that 2-way call recording is already working using Jit Call Recorder, or can be enabled by us (see FAQ section at the end of this post).
Specifically, we can personally confirm (after personally checking) that the following devices can record both sides of the call using Jit Call Recorder:
* Nexus 4/5 (root required)
* Moto G2 (root required)
* HTC One M8 / M9 (Lollipop also supported, no root required)
* Samsung Galaxy S2/S3/S4/S5/Note 3/Note 4 - including Mini versions of S4 and S5 (no root required except for some specific models, Bluetooth recording on S4 I9500 - and possibly other models - enabled with root)
* LG G2/G3
We are extremely motivated on bringing 2-way call recording capabilities to as many devices as we can, and we are highly responsive, so please use us - if 2-way call recording is not yet working on your device, or if you have any other issue, contact us - we'll do our best to resolve it for you.
FAQ / Troubleshooting:
* I can't hear the other side of the call
If your phone isn't rooted, there is still a small chance that we can enable it for you. For example, HTC One M8 2-way call recording is disabled since Lollipop but can be enabled without root.
If your phone is rooted - send us a debug report. We'll study it and do our best to send you a configuration file that will enable 2-way call recording for you.
* Recording is sometimes out of sync with the call
This is caused sometimes by poorly implemented manufacturer components, if you experience such issues change the phone state synchronization method in Recording Options screen and try again
* Recording volume is not high enough
From Recording Options screen, go to Output File Options screen and select "None" from the encoders list and Manual / Automatic volume increase.
If you select Manual volume increase options, gradually increase volume and gain until you gain satisfying volume.
Alternatively, use the following settings:
In Recording File Options screen (available in Recording Options screen in app settings), set the followings:
* Disable High Quality Recording option
* Select AMR_NB in both Audio Encoder and Output Format options
* If the above still does not help, Set Audio Source to Voice Call (in Recording Options screen)
* There are many Audio Encoders to select from, which one should I choose?
We highly recommend not to use Audio Encoders (leave the selection at "None"). Not all encoders are supported on all devices, and selecing a non supported encoded can cause many errors.
We implement our own AAC/WAV encoding when "None" is selected, and we highly recommend using it
* Which Audio Source should I choose?
Stick with "Device Default". if you select "Microphone", most chances are that you won't hear the other side. If you select "Voice Call", it is not unlikely that recordings will fail because of poor implementation by the manufacturer.
* Will you support other cloud-backup services besides Dropbox?
Yes, support for Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive is planned for soon to come versions
* I purchase the license app but app still appear as not-licensed
Follow the steps in this reply to this thread
The app is fully functional without a license with the following exceptions:
* Display limit of 30 recordings - this is only a display limit, you can still record as many calls as you want
* Recordings deletion is disabled
* Recordings are not logically organized in recording folder (once license is applied, all recordings will be organized based on your selection in the Backup and Storage screen)
The license price is as competitive as can be - only ~1$ (depending on current Dollar rates).
If you have Jit Call Notes license - no need for additional license - both app supports both licenses.
Install license from here.

I'm on Htc One M8, rooted, lolipop. Outgoing calls are recorded with excellent sound quality, but on incoming calls don't hear other side at all, hear myself very good. What should I do?
Another thing, when I listen recordings, is there a way to listen on phone speaker, not on main speaker, don't want to everybody near me listen my recorded conversation?
Thanks!

Hi, regarding the first issue - can you please send us a debug report from the application (from troubleshooting screen)? we'll review it and see what can cause this.
Regarding second issue - good suggestion, thanks - we'll add an option to select where to play recordings to in coming version.
Just send you debug report, thanks for support.

Hi,
If you experience low (but hear-able) volume of the other side of the call, use the following settings:
In Recording File Options screen (available in Recording Options screen in app settings), set the followings:
* Disable High Quality Recording option
* Select AMR_NB in both Audio Encoder and Output Format options
* If the above still does not help, Set Audio Source to Voice Call (in Recording Options screen)
We'll release a new version with extended support for AMR_NB + extend option for volume increase.
Thanks ! let me check

Hi,
First - thanks for your feedback!
We experienced some issues related to License validation by Google.
Please do the following steps:
* Check if there is an update available for Google Play Services app (Not the store app) and apply if such is available
* If this does not fix the issue, from System Application Manager check that Google Play Services is not turned of (if it is - turn it on), and delete its cache / saved files
* If this does not fix the issue, clear Google Play (store app) cache and data and re-accept the license
* If all the above did not help please send us a Debug Report (from Troubleshooting screen in the application) and we'll help you resolve the issue.
Keep us updated, thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for all the help getting my issue with source recording on the N4 fixed. Really impressive level of support, most of which was done via email not detailed here.

There is guide in my signature to change to indian rom but it requires an unlocked bootloader. Root is needed to make the call recording working else you will have to use application from app store
i tested many googleplay call recorder apps and all have bugs like sometime not recording or when upcoming call volume is critically lower yhan outgoing call...only the native call recorder is good and with best quality sound and level and you can activate it to auto record all type of calling from its setup.
Anyone tried whether this works on View 10 with Pie? https://www.xda-developers.com/huawei-honor-emui-9-call-recording/
//I finally upgraded to Pie and it works great. I had to disable ACR first otherwise it failed with "Error opening device". Recordings are stored in the Voice recorder app but the best thing is that they're accessible even directly from a call log!

Works perfect on my V10. I missed this a lot. Even caller-id is stored.
Thanks a lot for the hint.
Works indeed very good on V10 with 9.0. Thanks a lot!!!
Hi, it works on my h10v. Can it be configured to save recordings to external memory?

FooxMagisk Alpha[ v0.2.2/SIZE]
×WHO:
FxM is aimed at Android users in search of an easy way to capture system or internal sounds (systemless-ly), and on Android versions past Lollipop. By installing my module users will no longer need to worry about background noise from their environment.
×WHAT:
FooView, an app by fvalpha, comes from the same dev behind ES File Explorer nearly a decade ago. Development is ongoing, but in essence, FV supplies the user with a range of controls outside of screen recording. Be sure to visit their thread.
×WHY:
Some time ago someone inquired about the possibility, which led us to trying other means before quitting. Recently I found FV and gave it a spin. Plus, others are frustrated by the absence of native recording on most devices. Whilst I've experimented with other techniques on Oreo & Pie, none come close.
×HOW:
The real reason you're here! First of all, in order use this module I strongly recommend Magisk 18+. It was used on 18, so can't guarantee the results on older versions. If there's demand, a test for 17 can be made.
×Prerequisites:
- Magisk 18+
- Grab fooView Play Store
- Download/Install FxM module from below
×Links
- All Releases
×Steps:
- Follow above
- Reboot after installing
- Check app info (foo can now be disabled, instead of uninstalled)
- Open foo -> Settings -> Advanced settings -> Dev Mode -> Enable "root for screenshots" -> Grant -> Enable "Record internal"
- Enable little MIC icon BEFORE recording
- Adjust media volume to < 40% (Volume bug on some devices)
×Credits:
- @fvalpha - Developer of fooView
- @topjohnwu - Magisk
- @ahrion - Unity Installer
- @Zackptg5 - Unity Installer
×Bugs
- Using high volume creates a tick sound on certain devices
- If Module is installed FIRST the app will crash constantly
×Revision History
v0.1a - Jan 18, 2019 - Initial Release (Unity v3.1 + 0.9.9.9)
v0.2.2a - Jan 21, 2019 - (Unity v3.2 + Perms fixed)
v0.2.3a - Jan 25, 2019 - (Removed unnecessary perms)
×Compatibility:
- LOS 15.1 (8.1)
- AICP 13 (8.1)
- AICP 14 (9.0)
×Devices:
- Le Pro 3
- Moto Z2
- Whyred
- Pocophone F1
Further testing is necessary to extend this list
×FAQ:
Q: Can I hear speaker audio whilst recording internal sounds?
A: No, not at this time. And likely never. It's a limitation in the API.
Q: Sound doesn't play when recording!
A: This is normal. Maybe simultaneous internal/external recording will be doable in Android Q.
Q: Fooview crashes!
A: This happens when Foo module is installed before the base app.
Q: Why is there no sound in my recording?
A: Turn on the microphone icon that's shown in fooview.
Q: Is root needed?
A: Yes!
Q: Watermark in videos?
A: This can be disabled in settings.

Did you follow all the steps? In foo there's a permission section, first 3 need to be enabled when installing the app. After rebooting only floating window is needed really.

Sound from the speaker stops whenever foo records. Make sure mic is enabled in the screen recorder, there's going to be a little mic icon. Like here:

No, because Android doesn't support system recording natively. You'd have to record your voice from another device and merge the waveforms. It's not possible to record MIC & system simultaneously, unless it's done on a Samsung or Xiaomi device.
This is meant for people that DON'T want sounds from their mic. Internal recording isn't possible without root after lollipop, and game audio from a microphone sounds awful.

It's a limitation of the the app at this time (fooview), not the module. I don't know if the Dev will add that functionality in the future. There's another Android app that can record internal sound, I'm trying to create a module for it too.

With school it'll take time for me to get around to it.
Only some Xiaomi phones feature it natively. I've heard of it being available on older devices like the Note 4.
Sorry to ask this basic question. Where is best use of this module. Can this be used alongside screen video recorder so that WhatsApp video calls can be recorded.

1. It's meant to record system audio. My buddy needs that for games. I guess there are other uses like recording calls, but I never considered it.
2. I've never tried this on WhatsApp, nor any app like it. I don't know if WA even allows recorders.
It only needs to be installed, nothing else it required.

There seems to be no way to achieve this on any Android version after LP (internal + MIC). Samsung, Xiaomi, and LG feature native recording in their skins so it's a different story. For example, my sister's Stylo can do both on Nougat.
For unknown reasons Google doesn't want apps to contain this functionality (also true of call recording apps). It's odd since Apple's position is the complete opposite...

The microphone is there. It's needed for internal audio, the speaker won't output any sound.
I prefer this one for its ability to alter FPS (25 - 60).

Hi Guys,
Question. Since the update of Android 9 we cannot longer use Call recording apps without rooting. I still have (and want to keep) my warranty. So is there a way to still make use of those apps without losing my warranty?
And yes, I am lazy and use an automatic call recorder.
Thanks in advance.
Android 9 comes with a native call recorder. You can access it from phone app options
I want a call recorder samsung a6 version 9
I am using Cube ACR app for recordings on this phone and it's working fine. Just changed recording option because on default you don't hear caller that well.
I have updated to android 10 two days ago and i have a multitude of problems. And because i cannot get root there is nothing i can do to fix problems
Please feel free to contribute here with other issues
- Raw camera support disabled, therefore no HDR and no Gcam
- Bluetooth headphones connect but no sound whatsoever to them
Solution : Disable a2dp offload in developer options
- youtube vanced states it has no internet while connected to 4G
Solution : Wipe data for youtube vanced and microG, uninstall MicroG. Install MicroG and login again
- Sometimes when unlocking the screen you can hear the unlocking sound but the screen stays black
- Huge battery drain
- Issues rendering video in Chrome browser
- Games lag a lot. HCR2 is allmost unplayable
- Call recorders not working
Partial Solution : (might not work on all phones), Go to settings -> Accessibility and enable the call recorder app, i can hear myself very well but the other party is very low. I'll continue testing other apps
Please, how can i downgrade to Pie (without affecting the user data)?
I have fewer problems, but still deal breakers:
- GCam doesn't work anymore
- ACR Unchained (call recording app) doesn't work anymore.
