I've been reading thousands of forum entries on how to install the xposed framework for my device and I can't seem to get it. They all end the same way -- stuck at the Verizon logo screen.
I am using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 on stock Lollipop (5.0.1). I only have the stock bootloader thanks to it being locked before I laid hands on the device, but I do have Flashfire, Root, SuperSU. Each time I fail, I use ODIN to flash I545VRUGOF1_I545VZWGOF1_I545VRUGOF1_HOME.tar and try again.
I have tried using a deodexed rom by flashing the above with ODIN, then using Flashfire to OTA update: I545_OF1_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed_ROM.zip
Next, install the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
I then tried flashing:
xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-snapdragon
xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon
xposed-v86-sdk21-arm
They all result in freezing on the Verizon logo during boot.
I can flash xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430-arter97 on to the deodexed rom and it will work, but the Xposed Installer says it's not the most recent and all modules yield the same error:
This module requires a newer XposedBridge version (30) and thus cannot be activated.
Then I try with the stock rom (odexed).
I can flash:
xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-snapdragon
xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon
xposed-v86-sdk21-arm
Without a crash; So long as the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk is not installed. If I install the XposedInstaller then try to flash, it hangs on the Verizon logo during boot.
Finally, if I flash the zips first, then reboot and install the XposedInstaller it will yield me the same result of not the most recent version and I get the requires newer bridge for all modules.
Because it's an S4 there are hundreds of forums and guides, but I can't find one that applies to me. That makes me either the worst internet researcher in the world -- or I'm missing something so obvious that it's embarrassing...well, humiliating.
Can anyone offer a suggestion? ...and yes, I've read every read only forum to the last line and every XDA Lollipop forum. I've reflashed my phone almost two dozen times trying different suggestions with absolutely no luck.
I was having similar issues trying to get xposed on 5.0.1.
Long story short I gave up and flashed 5.1.1 onto my Note 4 and used wanam's custom xposed framework.
Galaxy S4
I don't believe there is a stock 5.1 firmware for the Galaxy S4. More importantly, I have to believe you can install Xposed on the S4. I just hate feeling like I'm missing something so simple!!

I have a i545 with locked boot loader I used flashfire to flash XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 and xposed-v85.0-samsung-5.0.x-sdk21-test-by-dkcldark.zip and it has been working fine for me, I thought my phone was froze on the Verizon splash screen on the first restart so I pulled the battery and tried starting the phone again and it started like normal

I think I might love you.
I haven't seen that v85 file anywhere. I'm going to go search for it now. Thank you!

That went faster than I expected. Going to give it a flash now.
Well, thank you for the effort.
It flashed very quickly and then rebooted without a problem, but the Xposed Installer still shows, "The Xposed framework is not installed. Please download the latest ZIP file from XDA and flash it manually via recovery." and all the modules say, "..requires a newer XposedBridge version (30) and thus cannot be activated".
I don't suppose you'd be willing to use FlashFire to make a full backup (minus your cache, of course) to share?

Thank you! I uninstalled Xposed Installer and rebooted. Reinstalled Xposed Installer, rebooted, then flashed the file again. Upon that reboot it did the, "Upgraded file xx of xx" and now it's installed!
I can't thank you enough!

The Wanam Module is the only thing that I've used.

Could you provide the steps you used to achieve this? Thanks!
Please explain how to do this.
Hello.
Can anyone explain the steps to install Xposed framework on the Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-i545, rooted with stock ROM 5.0.1? I found and downloaded the two files noted in krusherkills123's post, but Flashfire only shows the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 under "Flash firmware package" where it brings up a blank "Partitions" screen and no options.
I used Flashfire to flash the other file, xposed-v85.0-samsung-5.0.x-sdk21-test-by-dkcldark.zip, which I hated to do since I have no idea what it actually does. Since I don't know what it does, I can't confirm that flashing it was successful.
Any help would be appreciated.
Same question here, rooted Verizon S4 I545VRSGPL1, can I install xposed? This is stock rom, rooted with kingroot then cleaned to use SuperSU
People have done with OF1, not sure about PL1, but they are not far apart
Thx!
Hi everyone.
I have a Huawei Honor 4x (Che2-L11) and today i flashed TWRP succesfully on it after so many soft bricks. But now i cant flash any file with it. I tried flashing super SU and xposed framework, both installed fine but the phone failed to boot (I was stuck at the Honor logo) so i had to uninstall xposed (When i installed superSU i had to reflash system.img)
How can i root my damn phone?
Update: I have now rooted my phone with BETA-SuperSU-v2.74-2-20160519174328-forced-systemless.zip
You have bootloop now?! After you rooted
Um nope its all good, cant install xposed though.
Try another xposed version
I have the Kirin 620 version and there is only version for that (Android 6)

Someone posted in honor 7 thread that v85 worked fine compared to v86 which had problems.
May be you can give that a try.
Okay, i'll give it a shot
Ok i managed to install the older version but now i get "xposed framework version 85 is installed, but not active, please check logs for details"

Root works perfectly idk i guess i'll just leave it

I myself had to leave Xposed alone coz emui does behave weirdly when I install Xposed on my honor 7.
Sometimes random reboots, sometimes settings not working and sometimes dialer.
It's probably due to some not properly built libs, like touchwiz or on xperia devices.
deleted
If it doesn't work try another version
Fixed it??
I cannot Install Xposed in a Samsung Galaxy S6. I tried installing "xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip" using TWRP. But Every time I do it the phone either goes completely black or shows the Samsung Logo flickering permanently. To fix this I need to go into TWRP again and install "xposed-uninstaller-20160829-arm64.zip". I tried leaving the phone with the black screen/logo flickering for over 1 hour hoping it might be installing something but the only way to turn the phone back on is with the uninstaller.
I thought that it might be due to not having OEM unlock enabled, but I cannot find the option in "developer tools". Then I tried to do it through ADB command lines but when I enter the command "fastboot-windows oem unlock " it gets stuck with the message "waiting for device". So I also tried installing PdaNet both on my windows 7 PC and the phone itself (Android 6.0.1) and I made sure I have the phone drivers installed on my PC.
All I want is to use Xposed modules on my Galaxy S6. Is it even possible? If so, what should I do?
I appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you.
Make sure you're using a deodexed rom and not a Nougat and one more thing use Samsung xposed version support by wanam for example

Thank you for the info. I have no idea what that is. But I'll research it and figure it out.
samsung use this https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960 by wanam
It worked!! I was about to go insane with this xposed framework installation. I can finally play youtube videos on the background without ads. The community on this site is amazing.
Thank you so much for your help.
If you ever come to Spain, I'll give you a tour to celebrate!?
Hello! Today I decided I would give Xposed another chance (I tried installing it through Magisk before, resulted in bootloop). After installing it through TWRP, my phone got stuck in a bootloop. I tried using the Xposed Uninstaller. Didn't work. I tried entering Safe Mode. Didn't work. I tried resetting my phone in TWRP. Also didn't work. How can I get rid of it? Please help, I just want to uninstall Xposed so I can use my phone again). Thanks!

I guess the only way to revert this is to flash the stock firmware over with Mi Tools.
I'm saying this as a layman, because I'm still studying before doing any dangerous experiments with my mido.
But I've read a few minutes ago that there are specific ports of Xposed for mido. Maybe you should try those. I don't have the links right now, but if you dig up in the forums, you'll probably find what you are looking for.
Those videos on YT also helps, but they're not 100% guarantee that will work at all. You should proceed by reading a lot before tinkering with this stuff, you know.
It's my 1st attempt as well, so I just hope I do everything right to do not result in something like you had. ?
Hello all, after alot of lurking, i've got to ask...
I've been trying to root and pass safety net for some time now, without success.
my phone (redmi note 10s, rosemary, android 11, MIUI Global 12.5.16(RKLMIXM)) has been trough alot the past few days, even managed to hard brick it a few times... luckily i was able to fix that using this forum. Ive flashed it to 12.5.16, it is my understanding that more can be achived with this version. I've got TWRP functioning, and magisk installed. but if i install any modules related to safetynet, it get stuck at MIUI boot logo. even when using magisk's zygote hide function. after rebooting, it is stuck at MIUI logo. am i doing someting wrong, or do you have some other solution for me?
i'd love to have the pixel experience on it, but i havent had much luck getting any custom roms to work.
thanks!
-Ferd
i've had problems with miui + magisk.
you should try custom roms again
