Dual speaker mod for US998 on Android 10 AOSP? - LG V30 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hello, I was wondering about getting a dual speaker mod on my us998 V30+ running DerpFest Q (android 10). I tried this thinking it might work but it doesn't do anything unfortunately. I dont have any other sound mods installed. Can provide my mixer_paths_tavil.xml if needed. If anyone has some tips or a mod or something that I can try, id appreciate it.

@Mrxyzl did you maybe post the updated unknown mod on xda too

Can someone with access to Android 10 on LG V30 please try Desktop Mode, as it seems to be available in Android 10: https://m.twitch.tv/videos/539056427
This would be so cool! I am currently enjoying something similar (in terms of using the phone on a large screen keyboard mouse etc) with HP Elite X3, but the apps are limited for Windows mobile, so I would rather use the dock which came with HP for my LG V30...
Sorry, I got carried away, maybe I should start a new thread on this topic...

Sure, I'll do that in my coffee break.....
Actually, I hope someone is working on that as well. There's a thread about Android/Linux on the X1, which you can find here.
As you can see a few people have been working on Android 1.0, but can't get it fully functional yet. I hope Android 1.5 with the support for resistive screens will be a new challenge for them.
hahahahahha
I'd be interested in helping test, but I doubt someone will do it.
Well i hope too....
as u know the android 1.0 works up side down on x1...
It is great to have android beside windows mobile.
Then our device will be 2-in-1, more powerful than it is.
Currently there is another topic for porting google android but as you know, currently it is Closed and It don't work well ( screen is upside-down ( it is not a problem if another things actually work ), touch screen don't work well, buttons not working, wifi etc not working )
We can bring android into our phone together if we seriously work on it as other guys done it on other htc phones.

[Q]Meego on optimus 2x ?

Hey guys,
i was just looking around and saw that meego has a new platform which supports tegra2 aswell. My question is, if anyone had thought about putting or the viability of meego on the optimus 2x? Since it the bootloader is not an issue here (like with the motorola atrix for instance), it shouldnt be that big of a problem or? i have an atrix myself but if we could get meego on the optimus 2x i would most probably exchange it
hers the link to the meego site: https://meego.com/downloads/releases/1.2/meego-v1.2-core-software-platform
what do you think guys?
I would like to know that why meego?.? It's really good and better than Android? I just interest and 3.1 ANDROID.

well meegoo is more like full linux, like you would have ubuntu or gentoo, but its tailored for handsets/tablets power, app and functionality wise (so you can use it as a phone), unfortunately the support for it is not really big. On the other hand Android is so to say java on top of a linux kernel, so in order to have some new app you have to do java, you cant use all the available stuff. second to that you could just connect the meego 2x over hdmi to a tv and have a full functioning linux machine so to say (with bt keyboard and mouse), thats why i was wondering, i myself have an atrix 4g, basically same board but its bootloader locked, so meego on it at least for now is out of the question, but we have webtop, which is a bit like real linux on a tv, however its some ultra crippled and old distro of ubuntu and the phone has to run two OSes (android and the ubuntu) and integrate them so that you can still use your phone as a phone, with meego its all one system, so its less resource consumable and easier to use
Me to i love meego because is an full linux os : amazing possibilitie with the hdmi cable.
Please someone could try to port meego on the O2X??
Thanks
Wasn't meego earlier ported to nexus one? That should help a lot

"Old(er)" Smartphones and their chance on OmniROM ?

Dear Omni ROM team,
ever since waiting for my upgrade to Android 4.0.4 on my LG Optimus 3D, I was wondering, how the community would treat such devices in the near future.
Why is a 2011 smartphone already considered "old" and why not ? The Optimus 3D is no exception here and I hope I can start a discussion about this matter here.
On my Optimus 3D I can run (nearly) any app, without problems, without frameloss. I can take photos in a good quality, I can listen to mp3s, use it as flashlight, I can use youtube, facebook or use it as a navigation system. It tells me about the weather, I can recieve emails and sms and in the end I can use it as phone. Just like any other smartphone.
I have to admit, I dont have OctaCore, I dont have 4 GB of RAM and I cant use the android PS2 emulator above 12 fps. But that is okay to me. Maybe adding a lighter to smartphones would be a good idea. Or a knife, or a screwdriver...
Im not one of those "Hey, I got the newest Android Custom ROM on my device, how about you ?" guys. But for sure I dont want to be the last guy on earth using 4.0.4. Also, I wont buy a new device, just to have a newer android running.
For example, I maybe think of the day that I want to download an app and it will throw out an error ala "You need Android 4.4 to run this", while I know, that my device is still able to run that app / still powerfull enough to run that app.
I just recieved a LG G2 from my provider today and already decided to sell it on eBay. It wont recieve Android 4.3 and probably around march 2014, LG might introduce Android 4.4 for it. Might...sounds just like the story of the Optimus 3D to me. Sounds just like the story of most other smartphone brands out there.
Google claims, KitKat "was made" for devices with 512 MB RAM. Hey, I DO have that ! :highfive:
So why cant I use it ? :crying:
I know, it will never come. Neither from LG, nor from Cyanogen. Maybe as OmniROM ? I dont think so.
But why is that ? Is it "just" the huge variety of different smartphone models that makes development teams concentrate on the "newer" ones only ?
Are there just too many different smartphones around...too many to cover them all with custom roms ?
Why even include a function like OTA into smartphones, if a smartphone is already considered "old" after 1 year and beeing forgotten ?
It happened on the notebook/netbook/laptop market already. 10+ year old devices running on WIndows 7. Linux, Mac OSX and even Android (x86) made it into the PC sector.
Even the HTC Dream has a higher Andorid version then mine now. And it (nearly) works perfect.
I can see Optimus 3D development coming to a stop soon on xda. I try to understand why, but it is not easy.
What are your thoughts ?
•Lack of proper documentation .. (similar to galaxy nexus)
•Lack of a dedicated device maintainer(must for omni rom )
• that time developers now shifted to newer devices
• optimus3d was never a flagship ..hence never got any real attention..
•too heavy
•dedicated device owners who got lg g2 decided to sell g2 instead of o3d

Sailfish OS for Nexus 6? (on multirom hopefully (so talking to you as well Tassadar))

I've looked into porting this myself based on the instructions provided from Jolla's website (found here https://sailfishos.org/develop/hadk/), it seems pretty straight forward. However apparently (according to Jolla) it cannot be done on a 32bit system even if I use Linux (which I do). I was wondering if anyone has entertained the thought of porting it, as there's a 2.0 version of the OS out now and I really want to try it. Kind of missing it from when I used to play around with it on my Nexus 5.
Conversely, if anyone knows a workaround to using a 32bit system, or if they have knowledge of it actually being possible on a 32bit system (could be Jolla is being overly cautious in requiring a 64bit system, but I believe it has something to do with working with MER), your advice would be forthcoming. Willing to put in the work, I just apparently don't have the tools according to Jolla and can't afford a new computer. My two Linux systems (one running Kubuntu, one running Backbox) are very capable. This is just the only prerequisite I don't meet.
As far as multirom, I'm curious if anything special has to be done besides the instructions from Jolla to make it compatible as a secondary rom at least.
Thanks in advance for all responses and patience. I may be a low contributor/noob to this site, but given the proper tools and advice I think I can pull it off. I haven't found anyone that's working on this for the Nexus 6, so if there is someone, obviously I'm willing to help or test.
Special note to Tassadar if you happen to see this: Multirom is the best thing that's happened to android since custom kernels. lol Big ups for your creation!
Awesome I hope more are interested too, I don't have resources to help either besides a test.
I can say that I have never been more impressed with a UI than the one I flashed on my n5 called Sailfish, Same as you I think.
To others of you have what's needed and haven't seen the ui please check it out. I thought it was minimal, sleek, and I believe it used mostly touch commands.
This thread is kinda in the wrong forum. Should be in q and a or general discussion.
But yes I would love to see this on my phone
First, don't post Q&A in development forums. Second, the first step in the guide states the device must be officially supported with CM 10.1.x, which this device isn't. Unless they just haven't updated their guide this will never be possible until it's updated to something based on Lollipop.

FYI, android also has needed to be built on 64 bit only for several versions now. I think since Ice Cream Sandwich.. 32 bit just isn't cut out for it.
Sorry to raise this thread from the depths, but why haven't any devs pursued this?
I would love to try sailfish os on the nexus 6!
A $200 budget device was released just a few days ago in India that runs sailfish os natively, which is why i started looking into it for shamu.
Thought about picking one up, but the cellular bands aren't great for use in the U.S., and spec-wise doesn't hold a candle to shamu.
Through a little searching, it seems one person with the handle of mad_fitter on merproject irc attempted a port back in March, but never finished it afaict. Apparently, the fact that he had an intel chip prevented him from completing the final steps somehow...
This is an old post, but i love my phone and have dabbled with sailfish os before. If it could be ported that would be great and according to the the HADK documentation you can now use a cm 12.1 image instead of 10 to build it, whih was available for shamu. Someone could get the image from archive.org and use that. I have no experience with porting roms so i wouldn't be able to do it but if someone else could it would be great for the few of us that want it.
I would love to try this on my shamu, as well.
Has there been any development on this?

Downgrade Realme UI to Color OS / realme x2 pro

Hello good day,
I have updated my realme x2 pro to android 10, I need to return color os, could you please help me with any tutorial to go back to the previous version.
Thank you so much !
if you can figure it out, let me know!
Duplicate post of this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2-pro/help/how-to-to-android-9-colouros-6-android-t4071317
The jist so far(or i dont understand cus im not smart) is that you have to had unlocked the bootloader before you went to Android 10 using TWRP recovery. But if you were on stock recovery, like i was, you cant go back to Android 9 anymore. The other jist for this phone is that there is very little developer support unfortunately and there is no clear answer for ANYTHING! Sorry to be a downer, or maybe im just venting?, is that again, there is no developer support for this phone(and im not just talking about XDA developer support, same goes for Realme as a company) and up to this point, everything you do is pretty much at your own risk, eg. unlocking the bootloader and then finding out fingerprint does not work, etc.
FYI, i really like this phone and wanted to like it for its price/spec but given that it just has too many little bugs(some people here at XDA will claim its bug free), like loud as heII in-call speaker that will make you deaf and sometimes bottom mic not working - these should be basic functionality of a $500 phone in my perspective! or maybe i just got a bad one from a bad batch:crying: Result = might end up selling this and loose $$
Im going to try the new C24 update to see if it helps anything
dam you ebay!!
