Sometimes, like once a week or so, my Diamond gets pretty weird. It register the touch i make with my thumb or stylus as being further to the left than it actually is, sometimes all the way to the left of the screen and sometimes just a cm or two.
This happens even if I've just installed a new ROM, (got 2.03.413.1 official atm). It usually happens when the phone is pretty slow/warm/busy. Like when I've spoken for a long time, or when I'm browsing through many images. But then, all of a sudden and without me doing anything in particular, the phone fixes itself.. Takes from a few minutes to several hours.
Question is: Have you heard of this before? I've searched but found nothing like it. And, do you reckon it's a hardware or software error?
Still have warranty, but I hate turning in the phone and being without one for weeks if unlucky.
Thanks in advance,
Daniel
Lately, N1 seems to be unresponsive 45% of the time when attempting to awake unit from sleep mode, and I have to pull the battery to get my phone functional again.. I have not rooted, dropped, or got my phone wet or moist at any point...
Has anyone else experienced this issue...Would Rooting the phone help...
Guess that would depend if it is a hardware of software issue.
Have you tried a factory reset? Probably a pain, but might be a way test it.
You have an HTC warranty, so it may be wise to avoid rooting when you have a real issue that is not normal.
Honestly, I think it could help, but under your circumstances I would be hesistant. Especially if you have a back-up phone and you can send your phone into HTC with limited annoyance.
Just my 2 cents, but really seems risky to root a phone that may have legitimate problems(unless you are confident its a pure software issue).
Is there a fix for the touch screen going crazy at times.. or am i the only one with this problemm...
I dunno if its the way i hold it.. or something.....It just goes nuts and make this device unusable for 1-2 minutes...
i have the same problem, i tried different rom and it is still the same, so i am wondering if it is the hardware problem or what.. still waiting for answer..

Weird. I haven't heard of that kind of issue before.
I guess you can just send it to Sony to get them to check the hardware of the software.

It seems like an hardware problem. The vibrator his ``stucked`` on that position or something like that.
Hello, about a week ago I rooted a Huawei Honor 4x che1-cl20 and installed CyanogenMod 13 ROM. It seemed to have gone perfectly and for several days all was fine, but in the past few days I have been experiencing crackling/hissing sounds from the ear speaker and phone speaker which has steadily gotten worse. Any sounds/phone calls are becoming harder and harder to hear, almost impossible.
Could the root have caused this? Any idea what the cause could be?
Root definitely shouldn't have caused this!
Are you sure the phone wasn't physically damaged in some way during the week?
most probably it would be some another hardware problem
100% hardware .. go back stock and send it to warranty hope they didint check the unlocking for the boot loader ! .. GD Luck !.
that may b a hardware problem
