[Bootanimation + App + Tool] The Boot Animation App - For Animation Creators

The Boot Animation App​This is an app designed to simplify the process of changing your boot animation by putting the whole process into an app form. Much like other apps that have similar functions, it changes the animation for you. HOWEVER, what sets this app apart is that it contains the boot animation inside the apk itself, so that no flashing of the animation is necessary. All that is needed is too install the app, open it up, and hit the change animation button. This app will work on android 2.0 and up.
This app was specifically designed for all of you that like to create animations so that you can distribute your animations via friendly installable apks instead of flashable zip files. So, I am distributing the source code in a couple forms, hoping that you people that make animations will find it useful in distribution.

NOTE:
- This is not for Samsung devices that do not have custom ROMs
- You need to be rooted

My Animation:
I also created a boot animation of my own to go along with my CM9 Theme Aurora. The boot animation apk can be downloaded from google play. NOTE: It is for 320x480 resolution devices only so don't complain or rate badly when you use the animation and it doesn't look quite right.

*the fact, the black one is created by someone here with 720p resolution. I just resizing it and made the downanimation and the splash.img too, so it will fit on ur qHd screen (540x960).

FAQ:
Q : how to change the splash image?
A :
1. download the .img file here. put it anywhere u like (i prefer to put it at the root of sdcard)
2. rename it to splash.img (no problem if u dont want to rename it, just to make the proccess easier)
3. download 'gscript lite' from market.
4. open it and press menu, choose 'add script'
5. set name as splash (again, just to make it easier)
6. and type this on the lower coloumn (script)
dd if=/mnt/sdcard/splash.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p14
7.save, then u will see new script called splash. press it. let it close automatically or just press close. the gscript lite will fc after that. no problem with that.
8. restart your phone and see the new splash
Q : how to change the bootanimation?
A : u can install rom toolbox lite and install it. or u can do it manually by replacing the stock bootanimation / downanimation on system. (u need a rooted device to do this)
Q : i got a bootloop?
A : no way, that is impossible

REQUIREMENTS:
SAMSUNG DEVICE(It will not work on any others.)
480x800, 1080x1920 or 1440x2560 SIZE DISPLAY(Only!)
ROOT ACCESS
A CUSTOM RECOVERY(recommended) OR AN APP THAT FLASHES ZIP FILES
A FULL SYSTEM BACKUP(I can not stress this enough!)
I MADE THIS ANIMATION INTO 2 FLASHABLE ZIP FILES FOR EACH RESOLUTION SIZE. One file comes with sound and the other does not. You decide which one you want.
HERE'S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO INSTALL IT:
1) Download the file you want below and copy it to the root of your sdcard.(Make sure you choose the correct resolution size for your device and decide whether or not you want to have sound.)
2) Boot into recovery.
3) DO A FULL SYSTEM BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING ANYTHING(In case you need to restore.).
4) Install the zip in recovery.
That's it. Easy!
NOTE: The first reboot after flashing will take a little longer than usual. This is normal. Android just has to process your new animation the first time, but if it hangs on boot for more than a few minutes the first time, then just pop out the battery and reboot and it will be fine.

UPDATE(02/25/17): If anyone flashed an animation with sound and just wants to remove the sound and keep the animation by the way, then I made this easy boot animation sound remover today and uploaded it to this thread here.

Unfortunately not I don't think. I just looked up your screen resolution and it said it was 1280x800. I didn't make one for that and it should be exact.

After few months I back with new bootanimation. It's better than Satanica, works on many resolutions and finally supports CM 12/13 theme engine, so after upgrade system, bootanimation will still installed. Also apk contain wallpaper, lock wallpaper and notification sound. Wallpaper create by me in PS, the sound is made from clipped track Dimmu Borgir - Mourning Palace. (I have more sounds like this but I don't know if ever I share them.)
All was tested. On Google Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy S1 works fine, but on older devices (like LG GT540, LG L9) may not work smoothly. Installation zips works with android 4 and newer, 320p work only with android 2.3.

Installation
From APK
Download apk with resolution like your device.
Open Themes app and go to Boot animations.
Select Demonica and apply.
From ZIP
Download zip with resolution like your device.
Install through CWM or TWRP.
If you have a problem with installation throught recovery (Status 0) :
Extract zip.
Find file bootanimation.zip, it is in system/media.
Replace original bootanimation.zip in system for file from installation pack.
Set persmissions -rw-r--r-- (644).

BOOTANIMATIONS​​Hi Guys,
In this thread i will post some of the cool boot animations which was made by me. This thread will be updated everyday with new bootanimations. By default all the bootanimations was made to work with 1080P(full HD) devices. If you want me to resize according to you the size of your device, please let me know !
Method to install :
1 - Download the .zip bootanimation.
2 - If it comes with any other name just rename it to bootanimation.zip
3 - Use a root explorer like (MiX,Es) and grant root access to the explorer.
4 - Place the bootanimation.zip file in /system/media.
5 - Just reboot, to see the effect !!!
you can even request for a particular boot animation.

no samsung stock roms use qmg format if you are using a rom based on samsung firmware If you flash either lineage or a aosp rom then you can flash custom boot animation zips but if not you cant use them

Really like some of these.
Any possibility of making them larger? The oneplus boot animation looks small on my 7 Pro.

Delete /system/bin/samsungani and create a text file that contains
Code:
/system/media/bootanimation.zip
then put bootanimation.zip in /system/media/ folder. That should do the trick
