TMobile carrier boot screen on different network - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

I purchased a Galaxy note 8 from Verizon years ago. After being with Verizon for a year I switched to TMobile to save some money and I brought my Verizon note 8 with me. I used the note 8 on TMobile for another year then I switched back to Verizon and got the pixel 4xl. I sold my old note 8 to a friend who was using straight talk as his carrier. The TMobile boot screen still pops up and he still get messages from T-Mobile and he doesn't have data when he is talking on the phone. Is there a way to fix this? The phone is unlocked and paid off. TMobile says they don't know how to get their stuff off the phone. Any help is much appreciated.

Does phone come with a SIM card?

I have never preordered a phone before. I always go into the store to buy them. I preordered two Verizon Note 8s through Best Buy a couple of days ago. Will these phones come with SIM cards, or do I just use the ones that are in our Note 4s?

I'd just use the simcard you already have. Save yourself the time of calling to activate the new ones.

I ordered a sim card with my pre-order
I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly, the Note 4 sim card will not fit in a note 8. Or anything newer than a s6.
youll need a nano sim, usually the carrier branded versions come with the carrier specific sim card. I have tmobile and they always had a simcard sealed in the box. I used to Verizon and they did the same with my note 2, note 3, s3, s4, s5. I would look for a Verizon s8 unboxing video to see if it has a sim. chances are if the Verizon s8 came with one, the Verizon note 8 will too
Verizon note 8 arrived by FedEx today at 5pm fulfilling the Verizon pre-order a full ten days early as was reported over the weekend as it was probable to be early.... and yes it comes fully equipped with new SIM even though I just used my SIM out of my replaced device......I must say this is a beast of a phone. I carry two devices, one for business and one personnel, one T-Mobile and the other VZW, as where one works the other doesn't and vice versa...My GSM device is my trusty Note 4 that I've absolutely loved since day one and still use constantly for everything( it even got better after Google Assistant) and now this beautiful note 8 as a replacement for my htc10...I must say after playing around with it for a couple hours I really believe Samsung has finally replaced the Note 4, this captures the same note experience that all of the Note users so heavily love and depend and have made it a thousand times slicker and smarter.... now if we get some root love this will certainly be one ill carry for years like my beloved 4....
It comes already installed in the phone if you ordered from Verizon.
If the phone comes with a sim, does this mean that it is already attached to a phone number? I ordered two of these - one for me and one for my wife. I always let her choose the one that she wants and then I take the one that she didn't choose.
T-Mobile preorder here, came with sim card.

Verizon Note 8 Flashed With T-Mobile Software, But Wont Accept MetroPCS Sim

Hey everyone, my name is Vincent. I'm new to Note 8 Family, so I'm hoping that you could assist me with a problem I have.
I recently bought a used N950U Verizon Note 8 for $400 from a seller on Letgo. It came with a Samsung wireless fast charger, two cases, extra pen tips, and a micro USB to USB C adapter. Not a bad deal, I'm my opinion. It came loaded with 8.0 Oreo and has a version 1 bootloader (I'll edit that if that's b not what is called, I seen it mentioned on one of the guides).
The seller explained that he originally bought it through Verizon, but when T-Mobile offered the deal to pay off your phone if you switched to their service, it paid off the lease. The phone's IMEI is clear, according to Swappa and he was actually receiving messages on the phone when we meet
My problem is that when I put my MetroPCS sim card in, the Note immediately states "Phone not allowed". I thought it was just MetroPCS (where you have to call to have them add the phone to your service), but after adding it, the phone wasn't getting service. I selected the correct APN, but that also didn't seem to work. The network settings don't even bring up MetroPCS when you manually search for networks.
I thought maybe I should try flashing the phone with an unlocked xaa software, but Odin states "[abl] fused 4 > binary 3" and "FAIL! (Auth)" on the output during the first step of flashing.
So, that's where I currently am at the moment. I'm hoping that I can make my $400 investment usable today, because someone already bought my iPhone 7 Plus that I'm using now (don't worry, I've been a long time Android user before this short-lived "experiment") and I've been delaying our meeting to give it to him. Any advice, opinions, or instructions would be greatly appreciated. I'm a bit desperate right now. Thank you guys =]

Unlocking a Verizon Note 9 without Account

Okay so here's the skinny... I was with Verizon on my Note 9. I paid it off. I then switch to T-Mobile and took the Note 9 with me. Popped the sim card in, worked great - did not need unlocked. That being said, I want to sell the Note 9 and get a new phone. However, I cannot seem to unlock the Note 9. T-Mobile says you cannot unlock it since it's a Verizon phone, and Verizon said I cannot unlock it without my ex's account information which she wont give me because we are not talking... So, in selling this phone - what do I need to know if it cannot be unlocked? Can someone with a Verizon or T-Mobile sim just slap it in and go? I'm confused as can be and the Verizon tech team over there in some cave doesn't have a clue how to help. TIA.

G973U on Spectrum Mobile

Hey guys! Can anyone offer any insight on this?
I recently bought a new G973U from a seller on eBay, in hopes of using it on Spectrum Mobile. Trying to activate the device over the phone the CSR informed me that the IMEI is coming up that the phone is not compatible on the network.
AFAIK, Spectrum Mobile is an MVNO on Verizon's network, and I thought a factory unlocked G973U works on Verizon. Am I wrong?
The S10 through Spectrum are still $750, so ain't no way in h3ll that I'm paying that for a year old phone, so I scooped this one up $250 cheaper on good ol' fleaBay. Did I just screw myself? I can still return the phone to the seller, but before I do that, I'd like to see if there's other options here...
Should I try to activate it on Verizon first? I still have service through VZW with a Pixel 2 XL. Should I call them and say I want to switch devices to this S10 and see what happens? Are there other possibilities?
TIA

Help a noob, new rom?

Can a different rom fix connectivity issues? I'm getting annoyed with buying and returning phones. I'm on red pocket. I even resorted to buying a Verizon phone and even that won't do mms (or data unless I input apn settings myself!) I've used 6 verizon phones without issues. It's usually only the "unlocked" but sprint unlocked that give me headaches. RP chat is useless. Been on with them for 4 hours. I'm over this! Can anyone here help? I have 2 note 9's. One sprint unlocked, one verizon. I have a couple of spares but my mom is pretty insistent on a 9. Ironically the other 2 note 9's I have on rp work fine (one is verizon but appears to be global??)
HELP!!
