Android 10 gsi for red magic 3 - Nubia Red Magic 3 Questions & Answers

You can try Android 10 gsi of phusson, but remember lots of improvement needed since it is just a aosp rom, nothing to expect great
Process is simple flash gsi using twrp, since twrp only boot in Chinese rom,and factory reset and flash gsi reboot

Have you tried it? How's the vibration right now with the latest 2.45 rom as the base? Is it working properly?

I wouldn't. Did it and now even the recovery tool cant unbrick my phone lol. Its cool another phone but something happened and its really screwed up. If i ever fix it i'll post how but i def. would not try it if thats your only device.

Actually I've tried install it before with success and the only bugs that i encountered are vibration and other rm3 specific feature.
I don't exactly know how the case is going with your device but i never had any failure using the unbrick tool. Maybe you're doing some steps wrong idk

Nah did it all right. just dont know whats wrong. Its cool tho phone sucks anyways

Multiple cables, ports, pc's.
I did switch from windows 10 to windows 10 pro so im going to toss on windows 7 on a spare nvme and see if that works if not try out windows 10 home again=

Androd update 10 for RM3?
Has nubia confirmed that it will not release any further updates for redmagic 3 anymore?

Long story short. They are back to working on it. And they confirmed they sent a beta out to a few people I have it ony RM3S but the guy I know at Nubia as of 2 weeks ago said they stopped all devlopment on the 3 and 3S. So waiting to hear back from the guy I know to confirm its back as a project.
Take this with a grain of salt. I can't confirm they are back to working on it since the last thing I heard was they were focused on some issues the new phone is having and they pretty much abandoned the 3 and 3S. So far the only official statement is from the social media guy and he's well...I'll be nice. If that is true die to the caronavirus expect it like everything to now be delayed. So maybe Summer.
The beta I got has some issues. Some preformance issues and some other bugs.

Not surprising... They have a really bad habit and business practice of completely abandoning devices shortly after release.

OnePlus 6T Android Q beta thoughts

Hey guys! Just flashed the Android Q beta and have some thoughts:
First of all for some reason OnePlus removed navigation gestures, there isn't even the original OnePlus gestures. Common, that should have been easy to add.
Since OnePlus made the fingerprint work I assumed dash charging would work too, but this isn't the case.
I've seen people complain about not being heard on calls, but that works for me, the real problem is I can't send a text message, no matter what SMS app I use.
When fully powering off the phone it takes an absurd amount of time to shut down, it says "shutting down.." for a good 20 seconds.
Besides these issues everything works fine, I flashed TWRP and Magisk and will be trying this out, I hope they release some updates because as of now this isn't really usable as a daily driver.
Already a thread of Q here:

This isn't meant as a daily driver [emoji19] it's not a beta build, it's a Dev build. Buggy as hell, no features, just a first try.
The only bad thing OnePlus did is releasing it to all because most users are to stupid to understand.

This needs to be in bold with a size font of like 50.
For those of you in here complaining, that are too damn lazy to read, put some effort into reading this. Quoted from the release thread:
As the name suggests, this build of Android Q is best suited for developers and early adopters. As it is still in an early stage of development. That said, we do not recommend flashing this ROM if you have little to no experience in software development or flashing custom ROMs. Proceed at your own RISK!

I think your right to a certain extent, but I also feel like lately OnePlus hasn't been doing what they have become known for, oneplus users want fast updates to try out the latest of Android.
this build while intended for development was made with very little thought, most other OEMs on the list actually made it useable, take essential for example, yes there are a few bugs but it can send a text and doesn't crash when you click on auto brightness. Even though it was for "devs".
OnePlus could have definitely done a better job at this, very dissatisfied.

No we are not too dumb to read and I understand how a " developer preview" works. I had 4 developer previews with P on my essential last year. Even the first two of that weren't very good but at least stable, especially if u or anyone have run or tried any of the Google gsi's or pixel Q gsi port of the last preview. What we are saying is why did they take away things that were already fixed and working and give us this crap. It's a slap to the face to release a less stable version than what is already out there. Me and protodevano made our own version of a Q ified vendor and in doing so could flash those said ROMs. This crap is clearly backwards movement and is the reason so many of us are irritated. It's not cuz we can't read or understand. OnePlus messed up and was late to the game and clearly hurried up with whatever dumb thing they could to catch up to the other oems and turn in something for the masses. Completely clueless everyone else would have more stable versions. That is fair to be annoyed at.
Lastly in regards to their last part. I probably have more experience in flashing, manipulating firmware, and dissecting, and decrypting all types of firmware
Than most people on the fajita threads.i wrote the book on gsi flashing with the essential. I fixed the volte issues for users. I made Oreo ROMs emulate pie for Shamu with rounded UI.. I'm the guy people look to when they would like to know if something is possible. I push the limits. This Q is not even possible to push anything with. And a piss poor representation. Don't make excuses if u didn't try any other Q ROMs before yesterday's OnePlus release.

Has someone problems going back to custom roms?
I downgraded to the Pie Image linked in the OnePlus Android Q official post. This is working fine, i can boot and flash TWRP as well, but as soon as i install any room i go straight back to "Qualcom CrashDump Mode".
Tried the original fastboot partitions from "rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-6t" aswell, those are working fine for me as well. But soon as i flash any custom rom (tried 3 different ones) i go straight into the "Qualcom CrashDump Mode" (fastboot is no longer working after that so i have to use the MSM Tool to restore the phone).
Tried dirty flashing or a complete clean flash (wiping all partitions except Internal Storage) both result in the same Qualcom Crash screen.
Using the MSM Tool gets me a working Pie everytime, also using the original fastboot rooms works as well, it's only custom roms .... (tried with and without flashing magisk/opengapps)
Edit: International Version, no T-Mobile or McLaren Edition

It's cuz u still have one slot Q. When u install a rom it goes to that slot. From a booted up os, reboot to twrp, flash the pie downgrade zip again, then format, u should be good.or the quicker route would be use msm

No matter how buggy or broken they are, they are meant for developers to adapt software and hardware on them before final builds are out to the general public. Not for randoms to treat them as finals, as few here and a lot on the OP forums have done.
I just rebooted the phone. It says to enter in a PIN and none of the PINS that I normally use work. What are my options now that I can't get past the PIN setup to start Android?

Fairly sure you have to wipe and not choose "secure startup" (or similar) in the set up. That feature (encryption) is not working currently.
They could make a PRE-Alpha build, say DO NOT INSTALL THIS, and zillions of lDIOTS would download it because they want the latest update, no matter what, THEN, will get on here, OP's website and other places to complain about it.
It's like these clowns hanging out windows, rail cars and what not to get a selfie so they can get "likes"....lDIOTS

Android 4.0 For Samsung Galaxy Pocket (Further Development Attempt)

Hello!
I have old Galaxy Pocket, and when i saw that no one even tries anymore to do anything for this little cute phone, I'm gonna do it
And first, is gonna be Android 4.0
i know people already did that... but these version's didn't work fully , all of them had some sort of problems
and that's what i'm gonna try to do, I'm gonna modify and patch one of better version's of ICS for pocket that already exists
so... i guess that's it... I'm gonna update this when i will make some progress

I am from the s5830i community and since our device share the same processor, I thought I can come and see if any of your bug fixes would work on the s5830i. Current issue is headphone routing but thing is I don't know if it is an issue for you guys with the Pocket.
Edit: Dug into the android development section a bit and found out you guys have the same front speaker and headphone routing issue.

Nope, Pocket (S5300) and Pocket Plus (S5301) have different chipset and then aren't compatible.
There's currently a 4.2 ROM for you device, but it is in very early stage.
I also have a S5301L and I'm trying to make a decent ROM for this device, but the only and hardest problem is the touch driver not working. I'll post here if I can fix that, but seems that this will be really difficult (the original dev leaved the development 4 years ago for the same reason, broken touch).

The Galaxy Pocket (GT-S5300) uses an ARMv6 processor, that core is nowadays weak and has a lot of limitations (most of them can only be passed by emulation, but as it's a weak cpu the performance would be terrible).

LineageOS?

I haven't seen much work done on ASUS phones for LineageOS ROM releases. I particularly couldn't find a ROM for the first ROG Phone. Now, after much waiting, the ROG Phone II is available. What needs to be done in order to be able to flash the ASUS ROG Phone II with a custom ROM?
I would like to upgrade my phone, but doing it without an alternative to the default OS is a no-go, for me.

I do have a person who could 100% get lineage on it, but we would need to him a device.
TBH, I'm a custom rom flasher too! BUT, there's so many options to customize ROG II that I don't feel the need to flash other roms - for now at least...
Also note, we have air triggers which make the rom even harder to code...

My point, is Google should make a phone like this. New pixel 4 6gb ram...2.0ufs, and 64gb storage. What a joke
So, I don't really care about the accessories. If I could just get an /e/ or LineageOS port, I'm satisfied with just having the powerful hardware. I've thought long and hard about it, but there's just absolutely no way I'd run a phone with its default OS.
If I could afford it, I'd certainly try to see what I could do about getting another one, but I'd feel awkward about not having any guarantees.
Is there no way I could get a walkthrough for how I can accomplish this custom ROM on my own?
Right now, there's no ROM development going for this device. Still you (developers) can build ROMs because this device has stock vendor source which can be used with any customized System OS.
There's also unofficial TWRP for which you can use it to modify the stock ROG 2 system as your liking. Like disabling & removing system bloat apps, flashing Magisk root, using Edxposed framework & GravityBox, etc.
ROM development has halted because devs dont want to waste their time working on Android 9 when ASUS has been beta testing Android 10 when developers received their phones. They are waiting for Android 10 kernel source code.
You can see this by checking their GitHubs, LineageOS was in development 3 weeks ago, its up to ASUS to finish their update first.

LMFAO, 3 mos later.
That is the general idea.
So your are not prepared to put your money where your month was ( Google should have made this phone) then just chill and enjoy until. I mean whats the point of moaning about something someone hasn't not done, when you can not do it yourself.
From my opinion the system comes with the phone is good enough because it provides the stock android option. Especially the android q updated recently.

Question Chance of custom development

Hi Guys!
My heart is set on OP10Pro because it looks great so my only question will OP10Pro see any custom development? because its been many days since release but nothing appeared on xda or anywhere else for this device? Thanks

I think something will come because of Oneplus phones are easy to root, unlock and not that muc harder to make some custom stuff, but I am not developer, just guessing. Also, Oneplus hasn't released needed drivers etc. yet. Anyway I heard Lineage OS has started to be developed for this device, so we need to wait.

is there any chance that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be having Custom roms? im planning to buy one but unfortunately it only has 3 years of os updates and 4 years of security patches, if i bought it now ill only have 2 years left for thos phone which isnt worth it considering the price is almost the same as the new OnePlus Ace 2 (11r)..

Quite a few threads discussing this very question.
Overall the general idea is that there will not be.
Although people have tried to make ROMs but have been unable to fully test them and or the source material wasn't complete.. I think it now is however without a valid MSM recovery option, the chances of someone continually getting their phone fixed just to test a ROM is remote to say the least, not to mention that if it did indeed boot that there would be bugs and then a lot of problems and further restorations in order to get it working thereafter..
On a personal note I don't think it'll happen, I think this is the beginning of the end of OnePlus, it'll be nothing 2/3 or pixel 8/9 pro for me from here onwards.
Oppo have done this to OnePlus, it is what it is.
Learn and move on
I'd love to be wrong on this btw, but I think it's wishful thinking.
Really sad time, I love OnePlus devices, and the 10 pro is a beast
