here is the link to the post of reversed tethering which really works but some of the apps like market won't work browser will work normally you will also need root to do the job

Use this one instead... ALL apps work even Market since your connection appears as 3G.

I've heard of a few people receiving the device for Sprint. Has anyone rooted/unlocked the bootloader and tried tethering?
Search function. Yes. It works fine. Root, install WiFi tether, generic jb setting, routing fix and miss(or whatever) clamping. And it works just fine.

Good to know.
Or you could try FoxFi, which doesn't require root. Not sure whether it works on the One, would love to hear whether anyone has tried it. http://foxfi.com/
Hopefully getting my ONE on Friday. I have to use tether for work everyday, so good to know I can use it right away.
I'll keep an eye on this thread for any other good methods. Thanks guys

If you are ok with Bluetooth tethering, then FoxFi works - but you need a PdaNet client on the connecting device. I've tested running FoxFi on my One, with PdaNet Tablet (which is free) on my Android tablet, and it worked like a champ.
If you are trying to connect to a Windows computer or Mac, you need the PdaNet Desktop Client, which can be found here: http://pdanet.co/a/
I have not yet been able to get this connection to work, when I try to pair PdaNet on the laptop to the phone PdaNet gives me an error message - I have a request in to PdaNet support.

See my earlier post regarding Foxfi and Pdanet. No root required, but it only works over Bluetooth, no wifi.

Ah yeah, haven't found anything like that yet. Wasn't able to try either because the first thing I did after I got my One and ran all the random tests was to root.

It works just using jb0 generic. I also enabled access control. Didn't have to mess with the other stuff.
I believe that wi tether will work fine for a lap top but if you want to tether a tablet junning JB that is where you will have an issue I will try this blutooth
I have unlimited data but no WiFi connection at home, I want to play blitz brigade but the old trick of leaving WiFi enabled but not connected doesn't work. There's a method using WiFi tether on the net but it doesn't work. Can I spoof a WiFi or tether to my own connection? If not is anyone interested in devving a WiFi faker and I will test? IPhone has had this ability forever, android being a much superior OS must be capable

My ROM spoofs lots of things. Perhaps it can already do what you want if you configure the permission settings correctly.

Sounds good, I prefer stock based ROM though, anyway you can integrate this stuff into stock? Or an alternative method? Not disrespecting your work just my fave games run better on stock. Nice to know it may be possible

Combining pDroid into a Stock ROM is more difficult and is not possible with the auto-patcher software. In your position, I would flash Wenque's ROM and see if you can tweak the permissions to do what you want - if it works then you have a reason to investigate further.
http://www.ahgames.net/2013/05/blitz-brigade-apk-data-files-v101.html?m=1 if you dont know how to spoof the wifi you can download just the data from here.somewhere on this website must be a directory like /data/data/name of the game. paste it there and it should work

I will love to see this as well but universal as i own Motorola phone.
I noticed this app in the Samsung store under entertainment, it works brilliant to control your TV from your gear. Your phone needs to be near by of course. Just thought I would share.

Good good. Don't use IR remotes anymore. But this is definitely a brilliant way to use the Gear (or any smartwatch).
My hope is that Logitech will do something similar for their harmony app for the harmony smart or harmony ultimate. (or published a sdk for it). A big big advantage of the Logitech solution is that the remote app communicates via Wifi with a wifi hub which in turn translates the commands in IR code. Especially for a Smartwatch setup this works great. You don't need to point the phone because everything is send via Wifi instead of Infrared.

I found the story where I got the $5,000 from: http://www.cnet.com/news/software-converts-android-apps-to-tizen-os-too-bad-theres-no-phone-yet/
It says it's from "Infraware, a Korean software developer and creator of the Polaris Office suite for mobile devices" so it's the same company as your Polaris App Generator site.
"Infraware is charging developers $5,000 an app, but will provide support for two years -- Moon considers that the shelf life of most apps. The huge fee also helps to deter pirates from ripping off apps and putting them on Tizen."
