So recently upgraded to Android 10, and have this white bar at the bottom of the screen when typing in any text box. Any idea how to disable or remove it?

You have Full Gestures turned on, right? Turn off the switch 'Show button to hide keyboard' in Navigation Bar.
Ahhhh, can't believe they've implemented this!! My android seems super clean now, and it didn't take 2109 apps and attempts to do this!
- Enabled swipe gestures without the indication where to swipe
- disables the "show button to hide keyboard" (they should call it something else - "remove white bar" or something haha

Enjoying a fresh install of ICS, but becoming more and more annoyed at accidentally tapping the status bar that's now located at the bottom edge of the screen, just below the space bar when typing.
Ive hunted through the options and I'm sure I've just missed the right check box, but where/how can i return the status bar and the associated buttons/menus back to the traditional top of the screen and safely out of my typing reach?
Currently running SGT7 20120604 nightly.
thanks for the help.

I also want to know. I don't like bottom position.
Ditto, it's driving me crazy!
just change the resolution to 240dpi, you'll get into phone mode instead of tablet mode. Therefore you will get your status bar on the top.
If you mean by "ICS Buttons" is the soft keys of Navigation Bar, you can disable it from the system settings.
So I just installed the hybrid version of 10.1, and now the terminal emulator is permanently showing a blue circle on the left side of my screen on all screens.
How do I get rid of the blue circle?
edit: figured it out for any other nubs. its a notification. you just double tap it and drag it up to the middle top of screen to the X.

It's Halo. You can disable it in System settings.
how do i do that?
there's no option to disable it.
only activate halo and hide halo when there are no notifications.
i am running Stock up including clock face but with NULL_18 as base for extra benefits.
how can i quickly see the battery status like what i see when i plug it in?
currently i have to go to Settings > Battery which is not quick and easy.
i had used the Watch Style app where you can get faces with battery but it seemed to use more battery and i like Stock look.
thanks for any suggestions.

When I double-tap, the status bar shows up. The problem is now when I load a full-screen app, the status bar is always there at the top. How do I go back to hiding the status bar at all times?

I use GMD gesture control to create a gesture to toggle the status bar on and off

Thanks, I'll check out GMD. In the meantime, is there a setting somewhere to revert back to the no-statusbar UI?

Are you looking for a setting to switch back to the original tw launcher or for use in the nova launcher? To set touch whizz as the default launcher just go to nova settings and it's the first option, select touch whizz, switch the screen of and use the twisting arm wake gesture to select home. If you're looking at changing the nova settings it might be an idea to reflash null and not check full ui in the aroma options. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for though. It's a bit late here and I'm a bit frazzled

I'm in the TouchWiz launcher / shell, which is nice. No issue there. My problem is I two-finger tapped or double-tapped the screen to try gestures, and the status bar appeared at the top, showing the battery %, time, Bluetooth icon, etc. I now have no way to make this status bar disappear at the top. For example, I see it when I'm in Settings, or in the root browser, or any custom app.
It seems the two-finger tap toggled it on, but there is no way to toggle it off. Where is the setting to turn it off?

That's not the two finger toggle. The two finger toggle on stock or null without full system ui is a shortcut to brightness/volume and battery screen. Sounds like you've selected full system ui in the aroma settings. I can't see any options to switch off the status bar in apps. You can turn it off on the nova launcher with nova settings but that doesn't apply to apps. You can try flashing the Rom again and uncheck the full status ui and see if the status bar is still present in third party apps or you can download another third party app to control things like the status bar in apps. There's a list of third party apps you could use in the help sticky null_/free falling theme..... It's under notifications icons/soft buttons
Got my note 8 today. Im coming from an s8+ (ive had pretty much all samsing main phones tho).
Well on the s8+ the bottom nav bar would auto hide when not in ise, but if i scroll a webpage it would pop back up.
My note 8 isnt doing this. I am guessing it was change, is there a way to make it work as the s8+ ?

There's, on the far left of the nav bar, a single dot. If you double tap that, it gives you the option to auto hide the bar.
Alternatively in the settings, choose Display then there's a heading for the Navigation Bar.

Yes i saw that but its not what i talkig about.
On my s8 the nav bar would auto hide then when i touch the screen it would pop up.
I.e.
If i was in the browser it wouldnt be there. Then when if i scroll the webpage up or down just a little the nav bar will pop up.
With the note 8 edge its either always there or not (unless i swipe up from the bottom)
I cant remember it is was a setting of it i did it with the adb commans.

There was recent update on my S8+ that changed the behaviour of the navigation bar. One change was a double tap to toggle on or off (which I now find annoying). However I just checked on my S8+ and the bar will either be 'always visible', or it will be 'always hidden' - appearing only when you slide up from the bottom, where it will hide again when you tap the screen (or after 4 seconds).
In other words it won't appear temporarily by tapping the screen.
I assume the Note 8 has this updated version.

See i never took any updates on the s8+.
And i did the full immersive mode mod on s8 plus, but then reverted it back. Maybe that created what i had on my s8. Ill try it on my note and see what happens.
Nevermind, redundant answer
So I got the official Android 10 upgrade on my S10 yesterday. All is ok, apart from an annoying bar that appears under my keyboard now, whenever the keyboard is shown:

I didn't have this before. Is it something that I can turn off?
I think it's because you got gestures on,
