Cant download the latest update..

Cant seem to download the latest update 5.8.27......
Cant even download from the download page... Not even ota...

You need to add an "o" without the quote to the front of the download link.
IE. bigota.d.miui.com/5.8.27/miui_MINotePro_5.8.27_6806a61319_5.0.zip ==> obigota.d.miui.com/5.8.27/miui_MINotePro_5.8.27_6806a61319_5.0.zip
Do this for every subsequent downloads until they solve the issue.

But AFAIK the changes is minimal and it doesn't mention any wifi fix in the changelog.

Do you have wifi problems? I dont.. Maybe check your wife settings..

No I do not have wifi problem on v5.9.1.

Again can't download latest.

Try http://www.smiui.net/ it will generate a tweak rom mod for you.

Neither do I, first time.
Did you disable location? I have done that since the previous ota that had worked, I have put it on again but I wonder if that's the reason why I am not able to update anymore.

Negative....I'm running a ROM from there now

The update that should be possible through updater app is mo than 700mo when the one available on en.miu is only around 40mo, can anyone explain why?

Between last update which I had done through ota and this one I have freezed some more Chinese app, including baidu.map.
Maybe that's the reason I am not able to take ota now.

Xiaomi is having server issues at the moment which they are fixing. That's the reason of extremely slow downloads

Camera shortcut is in Settings > Buttons and search bar now is just a widget from the Google app

Google finally rolled out the final 7.1.1 build for the 2015 Nexus brothers just a short while back. The build number reads NMF26F. So for the ones who want the complete Pixel XL feel on their Google Nexus 6Ps running NMF26F i.e. the latest final build can either wait for the Pixelize app (on another thread) to show an update and fetch it from there, or get it from here.

Could you try copying it off /data/app/ to /sdcard/ and then performing an isntall -OR- maybe reboot your phone once before trying?

Hello kribensis! I'm really sorry for the late response.
The failed download workaround - use Opera VPN. Yeah the back end is blocked out in some countries. Kindly let me know!
Also this thread isn't update since Pixelize is where the whole thing is.
Anyway Pixelize will undergo a major upgrade to be self sufficient and patch up your device to Pixel with every upgrade without me in between and a huge download everytime. Will keep all of you posted.

H2OS does not come with Google Play Services installed to comply with Chinese standards. There may be some other minor miscellaneous cosmetic differences as well.

When flashing over oos, you have play store, too in my opinion, h2os has much more advantages. I wrote this comment as I am surprised with how people inpatiently waiting for oos betas

Heads up guys. You cant post links to their roms that have their playstore in it. It is a warez store like the MIUI store app from xiaomi devices. So anyt links posted need to be checked for that app and remove it before posting.

1. 2015 not 2005.
2. This post give you a perspective how it can be done. Just find a free app or use terminal if you have root and friendly with command line
3. As I know there is no private DNS settings any more.

I use the app Activity Manager to launch the hidden setting

I've tried Private VPN feature using Cloudflare (one.one.one.one) but it only works using mobile data, if I connect to a WiFi network I loose internet connection.
Anyone knows how to fix it?
