Why would you sim unlock it? And I'm pretty sure it's OEM unlocked I'm the dev section.

because I do not live in the United States, and this phone does not accept other SIM cards except t-mobile (network blocking). the built-in unlocking application says that this phone cannot be unlocked, maybe a bad ESN, don’t know, I bought this phone on ebay ...

Run the IMEI to see if it's been black listed, if it's not you can contact the carrier explain your situation and see if they'll unlocked it. However if it was bought at a subsidized price and the contract hasn't been fulfilled your locked to that carrier...

I bought this Revvlry Plus on Ebay and it arrived with the network locked up and then I proceeded to do network unlocking by server through a contact of mine.
If you want I can give you his phone number for private
and I unlocked this Revvlry Plus because I am from the Dominican Republic and I wanted to use my sim card from my country

Unlock
Looking to unlock a T-Mobile revvl+ as well any info message me.

I'm in the same boat, but haven't looked into it yet cause I'm using TMobile.
You should try to flash an stock moto g7 plus rom (not Revvlry) and see if your new sim will work. You'll need to erase your modem storage if it's not already part of the flash procedure (backup everything just in case)
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Report back if you try this.

so here is what i did:
Unlocked the bootloader through the site
executed the commands: fastboot erase modemst1 fastboot erase modemst2
Installed stock firmware from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g7-plus/development/flash-rom-bat-flash-stock-rom-moto-g7-t3910423
the firmware was successful, now I have software XT1965-3_LAKE_RETEU_9.0_PPWS29.98-66-2_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC
but I lost the modem, the phone does not see the SIM card, and does not see imei.
help return imei please.

I have installed LAKE_RETAIL_9.0_PPWS29.98-111-5_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC
and the number imei reappeared!
but I am extremely surprised at another fact, now the phone asks for a code to unlock! (I never saw this on t-mobile phones).
Any ideas for sim unlock are welcome!

Am I dumb? Re: Unlocking

Hi. The day I got the HTC One (from Bell) I went through the "unlock bootloader" and rooting process. Everything went fine and I've been using various ROMs and Kernels.
My question is: Is my phone "unlocked" as in able to be used with other carriers? I thought that's what unlocking the bootloader is.
I'm asking this because I got a SIM card for cheap roaming in the US, which I tried to test yesterday. When I booted the phone after putting in the Roam sim card, it prompted me to enter an 8 digit access (or pin) code. I had no idea what that was. And when I called support they said I would get that prompt if my phone wasn't unlocked.
So... is unlocking bootloader the same as unlocking from a specific carrier?
Yes, you can use all carrer if your phone isn't SIMLocked by the carrier.
So, seems that your sim is blocked, 8 digit for pin is the puk for unlock your sim.
How can I know 100% if my phone is unlocked? (other than inserting a SIM from another carriers). Is there something in settings that indicates unlocked?

I'm not sure what you mean. The phone was originally branded with Bell Canada. Then I unlocked the bootloader and rooted.

Unlocking the bootloader has nothing to do with unlocking the phone to use on other carriers. Your device is still SIM locked If you want to be able to use your phone with another carrier's SIM card, you will have to find a website that provides such service, like cellunlocker.netcellunlocker.net

[Q] Unlock EU Moto X (XT1052)?

Someone in the forums said it is possible but never gave me a link to how it's done. Can anyone confirm or deny that there is a way to unlock the bootloader for the Moto X XT1052?
I've done it so it definitely is possible. It's just like for all other models. https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a

Are you serious? With the European XT1052 model? I tried already and it said my bootloader cannot be unlocked :/
EDIT: Tried again just now and didn't work.

That's weird as hell. Let me try again. Bought mine from the UK but it's still XT1052 so there shouldn't be any problems.

Yes, dhackers version http://androidhosting.org/Devs/Dhacker29/MotoX/
The ability to bootloader unlock is set generally set by the provider and not the model number of the phone. In North America the AT&T XT1058 can't be bootloader unlocked but several other providers who do sell the XT1058 do allow the bootloader to be unlocked.
I haven't see any official information from Motorola regarding European Moto X's but it is possible they can't all be bootloader unlocked.

They ALL -come- locked. Even the Developer editions come locked from the factory. You must request the code from Motorola to unlock.
If you have issues, re-read the instructions, and TRY A DIFFERENT BROWSER. People have reported success after doing these two things:
1. Copy the "unlock data" from the command prompt/terminal into NOTEPAD, remove the spaces, and then copy the entire string from Notepad into the browser (on Moto's unlock website).
2. Use a different browser! I don't know how many posts I've seen where the user didn't have success on ABC browser, but it worked immediately when using XYZ browser.
Good Luck :good:

Motorola won't unlock my relocked bootloader :(

So I bought a Moto X through swappa in December. Up until now, I've been pretty happy with it stock, but now I'm looking to try some different ROMs. The problem is, the original owner previously unlocked and relocked the bootloader. Now when I try to unlock it, I'm being told I'm not eligible, because my account does not match the account my phone was originally activated on. Huh??? Does anyone have any idea what I can do at this point? Surely others have unlocked previously owned X's, right?
Email the original owner and ask for the unlock key.
Go into fastboot
fastboot OEM unlock
since the code has previously been put in, there should be no need for a code again

Email MotoX support. They are friendly and helpful usually. Some Chinese guy has unlock codes, that might help too

BAD ESN IMEI Droid Turbo

hello
i've bought a droid turbo from amazon.com
and after i received it
it did not detect any sim card
i've contact the seller he told me the imei was black listed in USA and im using it in Libya
so if i rooted the device and installed a Custom ROM
Will that let the SIM Card Work ?
cuz the device is still on verizon stock
thank u
What version firmware does it have?
You can only bootloader unlock and root Droid Turbo XT1254 on SUTL-44 firmware -- or lower, which can be updated to SUTL-44. Any higher, like SUTL-49, cannot be bootloader unlocked and rooted.
It shouldn't be blacklisted in Libya, but it could be.
Have you tried going into network settings and changing the mode to gsm?
also, dial *#*#4636#*#* and see if you can set it to LTE/GSM global under that menu
I think even with bad esn phone will work with sim card outside usa
You should t have problems with original firmware

Well, you can never unlock the bootloader, root and install a custom ROM.
SUTL-49 was released specifically to block the SUTL-44 Sunshine bootloader unlock exploit.

Could it be hardware related?

i think it´s hardware related
is there anyway to make sure it's a hardware issue ?
can be fixed or no
it always should detect sim card, even its esn blacklisted or not, i think

See the article I linked about cleaning the contact wires. Also try a different SIM card, just to see if it makes a difference.

How to SIM Unlock my x2?

Hello there. I'm pretty much new to this, or at least, a little bit rusty. I've been struggling to find a way to unlock my SIM - everytime I google it, all I can find are some tutorials about how to unlock my bootloader.
Could it possibly be that the way to unlock my SIM is unlocking my bootloader?
The other options I've found are IMEI Unlockers, but I don't think that's what I need - except for the fact that my IMEI appears to be broken? It's not my phone the one that apears on imei24.com, imei.info, imeipro.info, or any of those websites.
So there's two problems: I don't have my SIM unlocked (it only works with one company) and/or my IMEI doesnt target my phone (could this be the problem?)
Thanks in advance.
