would anyone dare to port rom from a2 to 6x? THX.
It’s a bigger job to turn A Only to A/B? I’m looking forward to that too! Running Treble Lineage OS a.t.m.
Why do you say dare? Is it difficult to do?
I also have Mi 6x and would love an A2 rom

Will this conversion unlock all the bands and and turn the support of
tdd B34/B38/39/40/41(100MHz)
fdd B1/3/5/7/8
into
4G:FDD-LTE B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/20?
I want to buy this phone, but don't really see any custom ROM development for it, only isaac's work on afh, and I checked his github and he still works on this device.
So what are your thoughts? Will it have any more good devs who will work on this phone, just like on Redmi Note 5 Pro (Whyred)?
Mi 6X is not Mi 6. Mi 6X uses chip snapdragon 660, but Mi 6 uses chip snapdragon 835. I mean, Mi 6X is other device than Mi 6.
Yes I knew that, but because there is no seperate forum here on XDA for the 6X, I think this is the best place for it.
I guesd that the Mi6x doesn't have enough users
I dont think so
you can request a device forum here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660354
Well, I'm looking forward to buy a Xiaomi phone.
I never used a xiaomi phone before, therefore I'm thinking which one to choose? If I buy Mi A2, I'll get stock android ui. But I think if I get a xiaomi phone than why can't I use MiUI? Well, I know that Mi A2 is "Android One" device but is there any way to use MiUI 9/10 in Mi A2? If not now, than will in future?
Yes in the future you will be able to flash the Mi6x rom on your MI A2 if you wanna taste MIUI.
It was the same case with MI 5X/A2 !

Thanks for the info buddy! @marc2800
Are there any news about this developement? I like the hardware-specs but Android One is missing some usefull features, like one-hand-controll and twin-apps (usefull for e.g. whatsapp on a dual-sim smartphone).
Sadly buying a Mi 6X is no option because it doesn't connect to 4G networks in Band 20 (important for Germany).

I was able to flash the mi 6x fastboot rom, the bootloader works fine. The partition system is a little different from stock (android One) so a bit of work needs to be done. besides that, according to the Mi 6x forums they already installed our firmware (Mi A2) on their devices(Mi 6x) with no issues. So it is definitely possible, just a little beyond my area of expertise. If you want to check it out for yourself the link is http://en.miui.com/thread-3439864-1-1.html

If you want MIUI then just buy any other Xiaomi phone that's available in your country. Why even bother getting A2? Just get any other device and flash custom ROM if just want the taste of stock android.
And regarding future development, I don't think any dev will waste their time on it because you already have a official phone with MIUI on it.
It doesn't even make sense to put effort in this cross development. A dev tried porting MIUI for A1 but it sees like the work is till in progress.
It'd be easier to install custom ROM on a MIUI phone than MIUI on stock.
Miui should not be too crazy to get working on our devices. It is just a matter of if enough people/devs want it and have drive to do something about it.

how to install miui on mi a2 android one?
Hi !
It's all in the title ! Can the CC9 TWRP can be used on Mi 9 Lite ?
Thanks !
Not sure. But they say that the phones are the same as configuration.

Probably yes, but sometimes Xiaomi using few different vendors for touchscreen on same phone and this can cause problems with touch in twrp.. ?
I used this on Mi 9 Lite:

Works well. On first use, you need to change the language from Chinese to English.
Hi all, does anybody has same problem with phone's lights up after grabbing it from desk? Even if I have this function disabled in setting.
The same is, that after sunset, the phone automatically turn on read mode, even if this option is off..
It's upsetting me [emoji35]

Trust me Global roms have a lot of issues and the optimization bad !
when I switched to Xiaomi.EU or pixel experience with my Mi Mix 3 . I had noticed huge difference on my daily usage. Trust me Offical Miui is a trush

I know that, but it seems, that it won't be a xiaomi.eu ROM for Redmi 9 because of MTK cpu...
Same like ROM for Redmi note 9, it will never be because of MTK and high risk of bricking.

Did You checked the Roms that officially support Note 8 pro ?? if you merged the Mi mix 3 roms ( 4G and 5G ) with redmi k20 pro they will not reach the official roms of Note 8 pro.
it's not Mediatek or snap thing it's how many customers of device are !?
Sent from my M2004J19C using Tapatalk
No I didn't. I only saw this:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/xiaomi-eu-hmnote8pro-mtk-begonia-support.53542/
You are right, that before that, there was support even for MTK.
So I will continue hoping [emoji16].
I use redmi 9. I got the same problem. And cannot find any solution. Then I am unlocked my bootloader and then flash global stable ROM and the problem is gone.
What was your ROM before? I have global version since I bought it...
