I don't think so. To lock bootloader you need to have untouched system, boot. Otherwise your device will be bricked. I don't see reasons for relocking bootloader (your data will be wiped!)

WTF dude.....
You relocked the bootloader with TWRP? You are really lucky to not have a bricked phone.
Unfortunately for you, to replace twrp with stock recovery and get the phone back to stock state you'll have to unlock the bootloader again as we cant do anything with a locked bootloader.
*>Unlock your phone like you did before.
*>Make sure you have twrp installed.
*>Follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
(just don't put image of twrp in the directory since you are aiming to go stock)

I've unlocked and relocked my BL about 10 times with no adverse effects that i can see apart from after relock BL displays 'relocked'. I've also loaded all 3 different versions of TWRP in between and about 4 gsi images. Now back to stock B136 with magisk 17.1 and BL unlocked again with safetynet passing and banking apps working plus google play showing 'certified'. Why does unlocking and rocking BL cause issue? apart from the obvious full wipe required. Isn't it just a software flag getting set and reset? It's a genuine question cause i really don't know.

Boy aren't you lucky. Some guys have a hard time with relocking bootloader.Maybe you are just lucky or they're doing something wrong.
But how did you flash twrp with a locked bootloader?
PS im also having the relocked status in fastboot. Do you think we can make it back to 'Locked'? Just in case of warranty issues.

For activate camera2api you need unlocked bootloader, you don't need root but you need the bootloader unlocker. When you unlock your bootloader you gonna lose your data.

there's a trick that works with A1 that you may want to try:
enable fastboot
boot into fastboot
type the oem unlock command WITH BUTTON DOWN PRESSED
phone reboots directly to fastboot again
typoe: fastboot reboot
??
profit!
i don't know it it also works for a2

To activate the camera2API you need root (access to the smartphone with elevated permissions), at least root temporary.
So you need root and a unlocked bootloader.

Camera2 api and Bootlloader Locked. Possible?

Hi everyone. I just want to ask if is possible to get Camera2 api feature in our Mi A2 (No lite version) with the bootloader locked and without Root. I had a Mi A1 Before and I remember that was possible to get that feature with a temp root and modifying the a file. Obviously I'm talking about keep the bootloader locked of course. I'm just asking cause I don't like the Warning Message related to Bootloader Unlock. I really appreciate if someone has the answer to my question. Thanks for the help.
You need bootloader unlocked. If you unlock the bootloader and enable gcam but then lock the bootloader again you will lose gcam support.

Bootloader unlocked not rooted NFC pay not working

I unlocked my bootloader just before the pie update s. I noticed my bank NFC pay stopped working around this time. At this time I don't really need the bootloader unlocked. Is there any harm relocking my bootloader? or possible bricking? If I leave it unlocked how can I hide my unlocked bootloader by rooting ?

This is pretty bad if your bank app thinks that phone is 'rooted' just because BL was unlocked.
If you didn't do anything else (Recovery, eRecovery, Ramdisk, Kernel are still stock), you can relock BL, no harm, it will just Factory reset once again (prepare back-ups)
AFAIK, installing Magisk does not hide from apps that BL was unlocked

Thank you for your response. All are still stock. I just unlocked it a while ago to remove emergency broadcast but did it through ADB instead. No need at this time to be unlocked. Thanks again.

Bricked Mi 9T Pro

Hello. I flashed Global ROM over European ROM. my phone bricked, system and recovery is destroyed, I have only access to fastboot. I tried to unlock it and mi unlocker tool says I need to wait about 120 hours. My question is, will it unlock after that period time even when the phone is not in use and turned off? Because I don't want to open the back and pay for EDL flashing. Thanks.

As far as I know it should unlock OK. I personally haven't done this, but there are accounts on these forums of others who successfully unlocked the phone after the wait period in the same circumstances as you. If you were going to have problems you wouldn't have got as far as getting the wait period.

Your bootloader locked itself when flashing? Or you ticked to lock bootloader?

I flashed it via XiaoMiTool v2. It was OTA Package. And now when I successfully booted into Global ROM, I can't flash back EU ROM like Global before. I had all the time locked bootloader.
