Hi
can you help.
Since upgrading the depth in colour on the camera is very poor.
I sell vacuum cleaners mainly online and used to love how the pictures came out. Now they look very weak in colour with no depth.
I won't lie. When i first got the camera I can't remember if i made any settings changes but I have been playing around with it and can't seem to re-create it.
One thing I used to touch the screen to focus on a point and the picture used to darken slightly which looked good. Also it was a circle. Now it's a square and the picture goes lighter which I hate.
Can you guys help..?
I did try to roll back to EMU 9 through hi suite but it won't give me the option. I did enable HDB etc but it still does not give me the option. If you guys can't help with the camera settings, is there any other way to rollback..? I don't care about security etc and new features, the main use was for the pictures.
Hi,
I was wondering if you saw the option to revert to factory settings in camera when you open settings? Try doing that?
As for darkening the photo, when you touch the place you want to focus, the little sun appears on the side of the square. Try swiping up or down to lighten or darken the photo.

does anybody having a problem like mine? my camera colors now is bluish! it looks like it got inverted color.. when i shot at people, they will look like smurf!
go to the options and turn off the effects
There is a blue film on the back camera. You can remove that. It's just extra security for the lens. But this blue is a effect.
lol. that looks photoshopped
suggestion
have you thought about making your own blue movies? good money in that sort of thing
thats not it guys..
when my cam is in that error state (sometimes it works fine), i cant even change the effect.. at the first time I thought it got negative film effect, but when i open the setting it shows NONE, and i tried changing it to GREYSCALE, SEPHIA and others, but it wont work..
after several softreset, sometimes it will work fine.. but sometime it just give that bluish tone
I took some pictures outside with grey clouds, white builting, full 3 MP and superfine settings, and automatic white balance.
On my PC they turn out slightly bluish. So the built in white balance is no good.
Can anyone recommend good and simple to use software that can easily correct white balance, for instance by clicking on something in the picture that's supposed to be white?
Thanks
Hi
Been searching for a way to disable the auto exposure feature when the camera is used in dark scenes. Any registry mod to turn this off?
Sorry if it's been posted before, but I've searched this forum for shutter, exposure etc and have not found any reference to it.
I know the Diamond camera quality is terrible, but would be nice to trade blur pictures with dark but sharp pictures.
Actually diamond camera isn't terrible. It's just bad when doing photos in the dark, like every camera without flash.
it would be worthwhile to have a fixed focus as an option...similar to the landscape modes in digital cams where u just point n click without focusing
of course, the focusing works great in the diamond...but sometimes u might want to take a pic very quickly without waiting for the focus to kick in
also in situations where u want the background and foreground to be equally focused
not sure if there's any reg tweak for this
Is there a tweak for quicker exposure? Everytime i try to take a pic of my baby its always blurred or she's looking the other way by the time its taken the pic!

Do as i do, remove the sound of the shutter, take the picture and only say after
"Get ready ... 1...2...3! ok"
"ah.. but i wasnt ready..!?"
"Its good believe me "
IN advanced config you can set shutter to 0 seconds?
maybe this will help

anyone working on a fixed focus??
someone try this please!
Better Quality
Hi, To improve the quality on my phone i removed the back cover and popped the plastic cover on the back case. Wooow the quality is fantastic after that.
Only downsize is you have to be careful in cleaning the lens. A bit of a clean from your shirt or top does the trick
Hi everyone.
I searched for a similar problem in the forum and could not find it so, I decided to try this way.
I have a Touch Diamond for a month now. I noticed that after taking a photo with 3MP resolution, the camera hangs. I have to do a soft reset in order to access the camera again.
Another thing that happens is that the photos taken in all modes are green (except the ones with "L" resolution).
Does anyone have a similar problem?
The only advanced thing I did was to activate a few extra photo modes using advanced config.
Thanks a lot
JohnT
Just another hint...
Just another bit of info.
the photos are green on the touchFlo interface, not on the album. In the album they seem to be ok.
Thanks

Correction:
The photos less than 3MP seem to be ok when seen on the thumbnail album interface. However, when seen on full screen all pixels are green an pink. If you see them on the PC, it's the same...green and pink weird.
If I have the courage, I'm thinking of doing a hard reset this weekend, just to be sure it is not an hardware problem.
Any inputs?
Thanks
I had the same problem until I discovered that the cause was a setting in my AdvancedConfig. I don't know i f you have installed that program. But the greens screens are due to the G sensor. It's a particular setting in the camera node that you have to change. It's something like turn photo with G sensor.
I hope it has solved your problem
Fixed! At least for a Touch Pro
I had the exact same problem with the green and plaid color pattern in thumbnails and the actual picture on my phone.
I have the Advanced Config 3.x program and I found out that I had to: Encode photos in portrait mode under the Camera options needs to be set to NO.
Works fine after that!
hi all,
im not able to understand why all the pictures taken by my Xperia are hazy..... even in daylight. please see the attached images for sample. which are taken in different lighting conditions, in "Auto" settings.
Bright Outdoor:-
, Sunny:-
, Indoor :-
i tested almost every settings but all reproduces the same, where as Xperia is quite capable of taking quality pictures (http://www.flickr.com/groups/xperia/pool/)
Im using the stock ROM, with stock camera software.
i tried the instruction in the threads (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5087670#post5087670 & http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577364) but not able to solve my problem.
The Quality of video is good & i don't have any problem with that.
I might be missing some setting in Still image. can some one guide me or share their settings to get bright & vivid images.

Well I'm not sure.
But once I experienced some effect of this kind and was surprised too.
Than I looked at the camera eye cover
and observed that this invisible cover is scrached.
And discovered that the camera eye cover has a little invisible
layer on. So I removed this by strong scraching with a cloth.
Once I removed this layer and made the cover clean again
I never experienced this problem again.
As for settings - I almost always use Sports mode
which gives crisp and sharp photos..
Touch zoom works great with far/close object effect.
Usually I have unfinished ∞ zoom
or automatic.

Thanks for your reply, but my problem is not related to shutter-speed or grainy thingy...
my problem is about the colors & brightness, i noticed the moment i click the image an additional amount of brightness has been added to the image before saving.
Please see this image to know my problem better.
See the unwanted glow around bright / white objects

I think you may have the problem described here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493732
I had the same issue - disappeared on it's own after a week or two...
I still believe it's just a lens problem,
where camera sensor badly interprets visual input.
Remember it's a DIGITAL camera,
so all the light/picture information is digitally interpreted.
There's nothing optical about it...
photo quality is good of my xperia....may be brightness control (adjusted through keys around dpad, up down ) may be high or the camera is in multishot in shoot mode...just a guess...
Hazy pictures
I had the same problems, my lens was scratched from dust and other...
I polished it with a Display-Polish (you get it in a cellular accessory store, or search at amazon for displex) and the pictures are nice and clear again.
But take care: Don't use it on the Touch-Screen!!!
Just dirty from sweat and/or greasy hands. Just wipe it of. But depends on how long has it been there. You probably need few minutes to clean it. Mine was exactly the same
I have the same quality of pictures too...
ai think most of you guys don't get the situation... becuase i also experience the same issue..
when in viewfinder mode (when just about to take a picture. you know, the part where you are hunting and focusing on your subject), the picture quality is great. no smudges, the light balance is ok and the focus is just right.. but when you press the shutter button and it takes the picture, it like suddenly gets another hazy layer of over-exposed fog above your view finder preview.
as stated as well by the thread opener, the video quality is good.
if it is something to do with dirt and/or smudges on the camera's lens or lens cover, surely you would see the haze and the bad quality on all camera related stuff, including viewfinder mode and video. as another note, i have the HTC camera installed in my rom and it doesnt do the hazy, over-exposed picture on it..

Like I said - first try it, then write Mine had also great videos. Why? Well not hard to find out
And yeah, the lens seemed also OK to me.
Like I said - try to clean it first. Otherwise it's pointless to write here and complain, coz nothing else can fix it Had this on my Qtek 8310, 8500, W910.. Know what I am talking about
Mine takes great pics in automatic mode, I have not done anything in the settings. I am using R3 camera.

Must be the lens..
Hey guys,
i could not find anything related to this problem in the forum & via google..
Please look at the following two pictures, is this a hardware problem? Or is the Sony Camera this "bad"?
(i had to cut the images, sry)
Taken with the Z3C (Android 5.0.1, stock ROM)
http://abload.de/img/photo2819805420622753wrpqj.jpg
Taken with the iPhone 4(?) or 4s

Why the hell is the color brown completely red in the Xperia photo? In automatic mode as well as in manual. I really tried to "fix" this red tint in Lightroom, thought it could be an whitebalance issue.. but it isn't?
I think it's quite heavy.. the persons in the photo don't have any red tint in reality - the Xperia picture looks absolutely horrible imho.
Thanks guys & sry for my bad english :crying:
EDIT:
another example, took a picture with my Nikon where you see my hand & see corresponding screen of my z3c..

You're not the only one.
Check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/help/images-camera-red-looks-pink-t2915433
I got my Z3C 2 weeks ago and I've noticed the same problem in my phone as well. Same camera as the Z3 after all. Heard and read around the web that it is better to take photos in the manual mode where you can adjust the White Balance to bring the image as close as possible to the real colour of it.
