Hi everybody.
I have Android pie which was officially wireless autoupdated. I cannot lower the notifications volume even though I lowered the phone's volume and I see no option to do it at each app-unlike my wife's Samsung Note 8....
Does anybody know a third party recommended app for managing app's notification volume? Thanks.
Best regards,
Eran

Hello dear friends,
I was wondering if it is possible to have some kind of volume boost on the Galaxy note. Because sometimes I just cant hear people while talking on the phone ( without headset) while the volume of random notifications is blasting.
So i want to be able to set a higher max if it's possible, can ayone let me know how please
I am using this app.volume boost : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.TEST.android.lvh&hl=it,But other you can find the marcket
You can try DSP Manager or Equalizer available on the Play store If you are running ICS then also change the Music Effect in the Settings/Sound menu accordingly.

I know exactly what you mean... I mean its a really poor vibration for notifications.
Technically this should be possible, we have Root and a custom rom available, all it entails is to modify the correct part of the ROM to increase the vibration duration.
Hopefully one of the Devs may point us in the right direction as to what system file needs modifying.
Yeah, root is no problem for me. So maybe some dev watching this topic and can give us some tips to improve vibration during notifications.
Ha...vibration...
Hi,
I am about to buy a brand new N7P. But, as it's under andrdoid one, i would like to know if there are the same issues as for others android one phones.
Indeed, i had a xiaomi mi A2 for 2 days, i returned it because the control volume for notification (sms, whatsapp...) cannot be separated with ringtone (when you receive a phone call). It's the same setting, you can only put different the sound for both, but you cannot change the volume separately.
Moreover, even at minimum level of volume, it's was way to loud, really too loud. I tried to change this with third party apps, without success.
Does the Nokia 7 Plus has the same issue as it's under android one ? I did not find any help on the manual we can see on the nokia website
Thanks for your help

Yes the "issue" is present, just one setting for ringtone volume
At the minute this is an Android Problem. However if you're willing to wait for the official Android Pie (9.0) to drop this will fix the issue.
If you can't wait you can always install the beta. But the beta WILL wipe your device
Unlock bootloader
Magisk Root
Xposed systemless + latest 8.1SDK
Ringer & Notification Unlink module from playstore.
And final result:

Thanks for your input, maybe i will try this solution.
But, what about the minimum volume level ? It it possible to set it less loud too ? I mean, the minimum level is, for my preference, too much loud, so can we adjust it more accurately ?
Thanks
For that i saw somewhere another xposed mod - volume steps or similar.
I don't see an option to disable this on this S10. Cycling through ringtones for the alarm they all have increasing volume. No option to disable that like on the Note 9. Is this an S10 thing or Pie/One UI thing or both?

Opposite for me, alarm clock tones used to gradually increase in volume to wake me up. But not anymore.

I've seen this question over at AC and it sounds like there is no way to control this with Pie.

I wondered when I saw this if even tones from a source like Zedge would be tempered to gradually fade in?
Maybe Samsung just assumes that we use soft ringtones to wake us up like smelling a nice ocean breeze or something. When in fact, I need to be woken up like the radiation alarm inside a nuclear submarine just went off.
Hi guys,
I have installed the latest version 10.1 and I don't know how to disable the ascending ringtone (I'm not speaking about the Pocket Mode).
The ring volume starts very low then goes high. I'd like the ringtone to ring directly with the volume I've chosen in the settings, not to increase it little by little. With version 10.0 there was no such problem and I don't know why HUAWEI imposed this in version 10.1.
Does anyone have an idea?
HOW to disable the ascending ringtone on EMUI 10.1
Try using this method, it should work. Thanks to @dbius for pointing me to it

Thank you for your answer! (I edited my first post to make it clearer for others too)
My problem is not the Pocket Mode, which I always leave activated, but the fact that the ring volume starts very low then goes high. I'd like the ringtone to ring directly with the volume I've chosen in the settings, not to increase it little by little. This is the default ringtone style for emui 10.1, and cannot be changed This sucks big time. 10.1 is full of problems. Roll back to 10.0 is like an upgrade i think lol.
It's a real shame to impose such an option
