Hello,
I'm trying to unlock extra bands on my Xiaomi Mi 9, following this tutorial.
I'm stuck on the part where I have to backup the .xQCN file from my phone, I get the error 'Disk Error while writing to file' Does anybody know how to get passed this?
QPST runs as administrator, my phone gets recognized in device manager in diagnostic mode, QPST can find it, but the backup fails. For some reason I feel like I do not have enough write/read rights on the phone, but I don't know how to fix it.
I've uploaded a picture here: https://imgur.com/a/R02TJQR
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is becoming the hardest way to root apparently -_-
I`m trying to get z4root on to my Galaxy S Captivate from Rogers (SGH-I896) running 2.2
I`ve downloaded the apk file and placed it on my desktop, when trying to copy the file to my phone I get this error message.
(I tried to post a picture here but apparently I need to post 8 times?*fail)
It says an unexpected error is preventing the operation.
Error 0x80070057: The parameter is incorrect.
clicking try again just prompts the message again.
Phone is connected in USB mass storage mode.
USB debugging is on.
It appears the app is no longer available in the market so is this the only way to get it on my phone?
I've literally tried downloading the apk 5 different times from different places and they all give the same message when I try to copy, also tried copying the file pretty much everywhere possible on the phone. any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. make sure you turn on the debugging mode;
2. connect your phone using usb cable;
3. i used one click root to root the captivate, search that one in the forums;
4. follow the instruction of that root app;
first of all my phone is
Samsung galaxy iii gt-19305t
Computer OS windows seven 32bit
i have never played around with my phone before so this might seem like a really easy fix you you guys but i have tried everything i can think off.
i want to root my phone and followed this guide to back it up.
everything when fine until i got to this step:
"Backing Up IMEI / NV Data:
Start the 'Software Download' application and select the 'Backup' tab.'
when i open the 'software download' program it comes up with two errors
1st: 'cannot connect to the (MY PC) QPST server. HR=0x800702e4'
2nd one is blank box with a error logo
If i ignore that QPST software download still opens and when i click on the backup tab it throws me another error with just a empty window.
I can hear you guys yelling at your computers for me to shut the hell up but i am almost finished.
so i chose where i want to save the file and press start and anotther blimmen error:
'Port does not contain a Phone in Diagnostic Mode'
(I have put my phone in Diagnostic Mode)
so there it is thanks for the help
My Redmi K20 Pro lost IMEI, MAC Address and Baseband, every "unknown".
I fastboot TWRP and ROOT, activate USB Debug, push in Laptop, enable diagnostic mode by cmd commands, in Device Manager show Port Qualcomm HS-USB Android DIAG 901D (COM4). Open QPST ver 2.7.480, It show My Phone is SM8150. I try to restore QCN with QCN i download on internet (i dont backup it before). It error "Received an invalid command from the phone."
I try QFIL choose Port and Restore but when it run to "Checking if phone is connected...", it repeat "Checking for phone connection: 4" again again and to much again... Finally it notification "Phone is not connected to: 4" and "Restore Fail"
I dont know reason. Anybody can help me, I was stuck for 3 days. Thank you
I think you messed it up badly, take it to a service center and see if you can get it fixed.
Press F to pay respects.
Ps, don't mess with things you don't know how to fix

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
did you manage to fix that?
Setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC.
Enable Developer options & USB debugging on your Android device.
Connect your device to the PC and open a command window on the PC.
Issue the following commands one by one:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot reboot
Hi, I had a Lumia 925 and wanted to jailbreak it since I found a few people who did this and I wanted it for my own reasons. Anyway, as with all the guides, I used the Windows Phone Internals tool. I downloaded all of the files from LumiaFirmware.com and I opened Windows Phone internals, selected Unlock bootloader and added all of the files (rebooting to Flash mode, of course) and it wouldnt let me start. It would always say: The OS version is not supported. Use a donor-FFU. I tried with another FFu, but it still did not work (I tried flashing the downloaded rom and trying again, but same thing). Anyway, now I did something and now the device is recognised in Windows as "Qualcomm QHSUSB-DLOAD". How can I restart the phone? Windows Phone Internals does not recognize it.
By the way, this is my first time doing things, I may have done something wrong. I did download all drivers, in case you are wondering
Hi,
open windows device manager and use the windows/nokia emergency driver for your device. Then look for thor2.exe, it is a part of WindowsDeviceRecoveryTool.
Open a command prompt window.
Type/paste thor2 -mode emergency -hexfile D:\Packages\Products\RM-994\FAST8930_BATMANROW.hex -mbnfile D:\Packages\Products\RM-994\RM994_msimage_v1.0.mbn -ffufile D:\Packages\Products\RM-994\RM994_3056.40200.1407.0002_RETAIL_eu_euro2_1168_02_405247_prd_signed.ffu
REPLACE my product RM994 with your product and the file names too. Replace D:\Packages\Products with the directory on your PC. You get the emergency files from lumiafirmware.com.
Contact me if there are problems, we will sort that out.
Regards,
Joachim
Please, help, I made a mess. Let my teenager play around with my successfully rooted device (twrp + magisk canary A12) and the kid changed permission to the system folder in root explorer. That got me into a boot loop.
No choice but to flash firmware.
MIUI Global 13.0.4 stable A12 SKHMIXM
I successfully flashed firmware but strangely I did not get re-locked. But now I cannot access the phone in adb to re-root due to a known problem "device not migrated properly".
Device Driver LOG:

tried all sort of solutions: checked usb, used another PC, changed cables, revoked and renewed authorisation, suspended driver signature in win10 etc etc
PC will recognise adb device normally just not in fast boot!
would be so very grateful for any ideas. Any regedits perhaps??? I am just an amateur. Thanks in advance
tried regedit + deleting the device from device manager and also this very handy adb command:
maybe it helps others but it did not solve my "Device was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match" problem. Please send some help, expert, suggestions. run out of ideas. there must be a simple solution?
sadly didnt get any replies. one thing that really helped in the end was this manual: https://www.droidwin.com/unbrick-poco-f3/ So I leave it here in case other have similar need...
