Output audio over bluetooth/aux - Android Auto General

Using a samsung phone and cars factory head unit to project android auto over usb, is it possible to get the audio to out put from the phone over bluetooth or headphone jack so that it may be fed into a dsp for example instead of over usb and through the factory head unit? Disabling usb audio routing in developer options doesn't seem to do anything.

[Q] Any way to enable Dolby when connected to a Bluetooth stereo headset?

Hi all I am just looking for a way to find the solution for this using DSP manager, but it doesn't worked. Asked this question in most threads.
Actually, I listen to music through my Bluetooth Stereo headset Sony Ericsson MW600. But missing the feature of the Dolby and SRS with that. I don't have a wired headset, So can some one please provide me a fix or something like that for my request. I hope some one can make it possible to directly enable Dolby even connected with a Bluetooth device.
Thank you!
Have you tried all the snd -dspmode x commands?

Yes, tried but failed. I didn't find even a small difference in using that. Have you got working?
No, I don't use a BT heasdet. Does your headset support Dolby/SRS?

Ofcourse yes! I can use the same wired head phones HPM88 with my mobile along with Dolby
Sorry, I meant, does the receiver support Dolby/SRS. Looking at it HERE, it makes no mention of Dolby/SRS support.

Ok, you mean that's the problem related to the Bluetooth device and not the mobile. I don't know exactly but I used this headset with a Samsung phone which does have SRS Support and worked with my Bluetooth device.

i don't think it can be enable on bluetooth devices yet... from my understanding, the bluetooth device need to have support in order for the dolby to be able to work, even if you have a dolby certified bluetooth device, it will still have to communicate with your phone to let it know that it can support bluetooth. for the time being, i don't think bluetooth have this functionality or standard to communicate and to authenticate dolby support for devices... yet... but that is what i think, i'm not sure of it though...

You have to have headphones plugged in before you can enable it. Not sure exactly about the results you get from it as i don't use it.

plug in headphones and turn it on. when you are on bluetooth it will likely still be to the "on" position but greyed out. Not sure if it actually does its thing via bluetooth though. Try it out with it turned on and off and see if it makes any difference in sound when connected to bluetooth.
As far as I know you can't actually transfer ultra high quality audio over bluetooth. I haven't seen any bluetooth headphone or speaker that supports over CD quality. (In terms of sample rate, bit depth etc.) but I might be wrong.

USB Audio Out on MTCB RK3188 on 5.1.1

Hi All,
I have lately ventured into th Androi dheadunits world and have been really happy the functionality they bring with them.
I am using a USB dac hifimediy to get audio out from the HU. The HU is a HA version and is on 5.1.1
I dont get the generic Android sounds via the DAC. When the DAC is connected i don't get any sounds from HU. I only get any sound play from UAPP. Rest all the apps which play music doesnt output to USB dac even if i am playing low bitrate MP3
Is this behavior expected or there is something that can be done? Thanks in advance
P.S: i have the "Prevent audio rout to USB" disabled in Developer options

I cannot recall the exact reason, but I recall reading something in this thread about how they are separated. Perhaps @7floor may be able to answer.
Got the same problem.. Connected Asus Xonar U7 and no main sounds from android, only via usb player apps. Android 5.0 supposed to support native usb audio? :/ Also RK3188 & Android 5.1.1.
It may take you some time searching, but at least one person deffo got a USB DAC working on these units, your ll have to search the original thread which is here :

Bluetooth music quality

Super new here, I tried searching for my problem but I may just be blind. Thanks in advance for taking the time to help out.
I've got an 06' BMW with a witson android head unit.
The issue I'm having is Bluetooth music audio quality. Oddly enough Bluetooth calling isn't a problem. The upper range of sound is distorting. Don't know if this makes a difference or not, it's connecting to an iphone *hides under table. If I listen to the radio or to a cd (like it's 1997 or something) I don't hear the issue.
I've gone into the factory settings, and adjusted the BT volume up and down and found no change. I've changed all of the volume options, and found no change. I've tried changing the amplifier settings as well and have found no change.
MCU version MCTB-KYD-V2.77
Android version 4.4.4_27082015
Kernel version 3.0.36+
[email protected] #481
Build number rk3066-eng4.4.4
Cpu ARM cortexA-9 @1.6ghz(x2)
Thanks again for looking

Have you tried factory settings, and turning down BT master volume. Mine was set well above the others, which could cause issues when in higher volume ranges.
Yes, in fact I was super excited when I searched and found the factory settings code, and that the bt adjustment was in there. It was set to +18 I've since set it to 0 and saw no improvement.
I guess my question is this
Clearly, a setting isn't going to fix this, should I just install a new Bluetooth app, or is the Bluetooth app essential to the operating system and I should just install a new operating system??
HI
I have erisin 2046 and my bluetooth music is scratching hard.. quality is very bad
set the master volume down already in factorysettings (126) but nothing changed.
Sounds like a firmware update is required... maybe to android 5.1? If only people answered more often about doing them... (I have no idea how)
I have two units (MTCB KLD, MTCD KGL) and an old clarion HU with bluetooth.
This problem exists all three units. It's not a firmware problem, problably MCU related issue.
I was digging many forums about this, but I cannot find solution.
I have a MTCD unit which is functioning well but the BT streaming quality is quiet bad.
It's quiet easy to do an A and B comparison with our android units so it will be obvious but if you didn't know, you'd think it's ok.
I just think bluetooth streaming quality is generally bad if you don't use APTX
probably there is a problem with smartphone. When I using android one, there is no distorting in upper range. However, when I use iPhone SE, it's hard to hear distorting sound and quality is really bad.
I have the same problem. Very bad sounding, upper range is distorted. I've tried 3rd party Bluetooth apps, but it doesn't recognize the unit as having Bluetooth. Probably cause the Bluetooth chip is in the MCU, and is not actually part of the android software. That's my guess.
Does anyone know if a Bluetooth dongle to the USB will work? I have a spare one laying around.

The bluetooth module connected to the MCU.
The MCU provide the Bluetooth audio stream to the Android OS.
The Bluetooth app can control the BT module through the MCU.
So there isn't direct link between the android OS and the bluetooth module.
Sorry my bad english..

Audio streaming over Bluetooth App from my iPhone (say from Pandora) is noticeably worse quality than using an app on the HU (say, Pandora App on HU). Do not have this problem streaming to other HUs (like the one built into the Prius) or my previous GTA Kit.

It's a Android Headunit, do you need a picture? I think it's Android 7 and I am using the HUR app for Android Auto, my phone is a Samsung A70. What more do you need?
