Has anyone tried connecting their phone to an external touchscreen? The plan was to use like a big tablet but it seems to only work as a mouse pointer when connected. any ideas?

Bluetooth Mouse list..?

Hi i've been searching for a list of mice that work for our phones, i have a mouse program on my phone atm called BlueMouse. But for some reason the BT mouse i have isn't being picked up by my phone BT setting. And yes i have the bluetooth on, checked all the setting as well. The mouse i have atm is a Micro Innovations.
If any1 has any info please help.
Thankx
i would take a look at the troubleshooting page of the software, it looks like your mouse isnt broadcasting its id so your phone cant pair.

[Q] mouse detected as keyborad

Hello,
I didn't find any other thread talking about that, so I apologize if it is there anyway.
When I connect my usb mouse to my Note, it detects it as a keyboard ! I want to know if I could do anything to make it work properly please ?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers !
may be the mouse you are trying to connect is not supporting your device. or a faulty OTG Adapter. i tried with 5 brand mouse everything was working properly. but i couldn't connect USB keyboard to my Note, it shows "Keyboard Connected" but doesn't work.
EDIT: Tried with Logitech K200 Keyboard. it works..
Ok ok, yes i guess my mouse is not compatible. Thank you anyway ! ^^
Maybe there are some solutions but have to look further.

[Q] Use your phone as an USB cable extender ?

I am looking for a very specific app that I could be able to plug in a gamepad via USB-OTG and remotely use it on a PC. I found apps like Monect but they only work with built in touch controls and don't allow external devices. If anyone knows a solution, I would be more than glad to hear it

Sorry to answer with a question but wouldn't it be simpler to plug your game pad directly to your computer? Or maybe to use a wireless game pad connected to your PC?
What's the point of connecting a game pad to your phone and not directly to your computer? Adding some extra latency to make a game harder to play?
Sorry I'm very curious why
Well my gamepad is a cheap fake one that is hardly ever detected without third party apps but the reason is that I have an extremely short cable and I want to be able to use Steam's big screen on my TV with HDMI and play with a gamepad
Anyone ?

USB Mouse problems

Long time Lurker, first time poster, so please, be gentle! To the issue!
Whenever I plug a USB mouse into my Note 4 using an OTG cable, the screen or the program I am using either refreshes or reloads. For example, if I plug in a USB mouse when I have youtube open, it will pause the video and refresh. This happens with lots of programs. What makes this more difficult is it happens with CatLog as well (Easy way to test, since I am sure anyone who would be helping, has this installed).
Specifics:
Android 5.1.1 (Multiple ROM's including Stock)
T-Mobile
Does not/did not happen with 5.0.1/2
Is not triggered with a USB Keyboard
Is not triggered with a Bluetooth mouse or keyboard
Normally, this isn't such a problem, except I often connect and disconnect a mouse and keyboard many times a day, and it forces most programs to refresh cause me a headache.
Any suggestions/thoughts?
It probably has to refresh to be able to overly mouse cursor. I wonder if it happens with external monitor connected
You need to buy a PC.
Pp. Lol.

I thought something similar, but, it doesn't happen when I connect a Bluetooth Mouse. However, I have never tried to see what happens when I plug in an external display. I have the adapter and I will try that to see what the results are.
Thank you for the suggestion!

It's Bluetooth conected trough USB...
Like a USB Reciever thats in the device..
what steps have tried to fix the issue?
I cant get it to work thats why i ask somebody to help...
need more details. you only said your mouse doesn't work and that's it. no one can help you with the itty bitty info you gave. There over 200,000 different types of mouses out there in the market and you haven't declared which one is yours.
Amora is right OwnDroid. We need more to work with.
1) make and model of the mouse?
2) are you using a USB hub?
3) did you turn on dev settings? If yes did you turn on usb0 debugging? If yes...did you accidentally plug the mouse into usb0?
4) it is a new mouse? Does it work if plugged into any other system?
5) which USB post is it plugged into (0 or 1) and have to tried switching them?
Etc.
My acer 2.4 keyboard and mouse instantly connected. My two bluetooth keyboards slow to connect but do eventually work. Have you opened the bluetooth settings?
Man, same here! My Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse don't connect, it doesn't accept input through my touch screen monitor (Dell), a USB mouse doesn't do anything (works with everything else PC-wise), and I don't even own a wired keyboard.
Another electronic device in the bucket to use for target practice!

You have to contact support if ur USB ports aren't functioning.
My Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse can pair but the mouse cursor doesn't move at all. I am connected this mouse directly to my Acer Switch Alpha 12 and I can confirm this worked under my dual boot Windows 10. Anyone have way around this?
@Yitan - please query in the Remix Os for Pc forum. This thread is in the Remix Mini forum.
Thanks!
bla
If you enabled developer mode, turn off usb0 debugging off.
