Magisk and Android 7

Hello,
I did not update my phone to android 7 (nougat) only for lack of xposed support for it. I want to know if I root nougat rom with magisk, then install thee latest systemless xposed in it , whether it will work in Android 7 rom.
Kindly help me
No.
Xposed is not compatible with nougat, systemless or not.

There's no Xposed (nor will ever be?) for Nougat. Most of us can achieve the same results for the stuff we had in Xposed, perhaps a custom ROM or even some Magisk module.

[XPOSED] [NOUGAT] [CAN UNSTABLE] Xposed SDK25/24 for all arch

We of the PurifyOS Team have slightly modified the Xposed Nougat source of @ABForce and XposedTool of Rovo collector to allow the creation of rapid zips to install Xposed on Nougat
-------- important warning ---------
Rovo has released Xposed for Official Nougat!
If you are interested in the official version follow this link: https://www.xda-developers.com/official-xposed-framework-android-nougat/
This version could be updated even after the release of official xposed
-------------------------------------------------
Available versions:
If you have Android 7.0 download Xposed SDK 24 while if you have Android 7.1 download Xposed SDK 25
-Xposed SDK25 ARM64
-Xposed SDK25 ARM
-Xposed SDK25 X86
-Xposed SDK24 ARM64
-Xposed SDK24 ARM
-Xposed SDK24 X86
-Xposed SDK25 ARM64 Magisk Systemless
-Xposed SDK25 ARM Magisk Systemless
-Xposed SDK25 X86 Magisk Systemless
-Xposed SDK24 ARM64 Magisk Systemless
-Xposed SDK24 ARM Magisk Systemless
-Xposed SDK24 X86 Magisk Systemless
Xposed Magisk Systemless need Magisk 13.1 or newer, I recommend reinstalling magisk before installing our module.
XPOSED ALWAYS BREAKS SAFETYNET
This xposed is experimental so it might give some problems, I personally do not know any instability in my phone but i can not guarantee it
We have tested our Xposed version of the following devices successfully:
-Oneplus 3, with Android 7.1 Oxygen 20
We recommend using Xposed Installer as the dvdandroid Xposed Installer Material
Download:
http://purifyos.it/Xposed-github/
I recommend making a wipe data before installation

Currently testing on a Samsung Galaxy S6 G920T model running a LineageOS based ROM called NexusOS. Impressions so far, apps force close a lot since I've flashed it, system slightly unstable (but I blame that on wiping cache and dalvik), but it works. I got Amplify running! Now I'll wait for the Greenify module to run properly. Fantastic job.

I'm joking. Nobody is going to read or heed that. They're flashing that Magisk zip as I type I'm sure.

[DISCUSSION] Xposed for Oreo

You can use this thread for discussions about Xposed for Oreo. Please check the read-only thread for the download links and official updates.
Work perfectly fine on OnePlus 5 Stable 5.0.1 Oreo, need to test more modules, as always thank you [emoji8]
Anyone running on pixel 2 xl?

Running perfectly fine here on the 6P.
Thanks a bunch Rovo! [emoji41]

For Pixel 2/XL installation of the beta build and other devices with A and B partitions : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75129747&postcount=4
In other words:
1. Close the XposedInstaller app
2. Download the zip
3. Copy it to /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/downloads/framework
AKA
/sdcard/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/downloads/framework
4. Open the XposedInstaller app
5. If the zip is not showing as available to install, click the 3 dot menu
6. Check the "Show outdated versions" check box
7. The zip should show up in the app now, and should be installable through the app
Credit to @wanam for being the first to post this method.
TWRP installation doesn't work.
For anyone having issues installing on phones with A/B partitions, please refer to this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75132675&postcount=9
I could not get it to install via TWRP, and the download from within the xposed installer is not working currently.

Is anyone having issues installing modules from the Xposed app? I get a force close everytime I attempt to.

Download XDA Labs and install xposed modules from there, it is working for me.
Oh Hai

Would be expected since Xposed Oreo isn't targeted towards beta software (especially Sammy software). I'd wait until official Samsung support for Oreo some time after Xposed is out of beta and Sammy has released Official Oreo.

rovo89is already working on a fix. He has all the information he needs.
https://github.com/rovo89/XposedBridge/issues/226
Xposed SDK26 systemless on OP5 running OOS 5.0.1 (Oreo 8.0), Magisk 15.2 and material xposed installer (with the official installer the framework wasn't active).
Boot didn't take much longer than usual, no lagging or whatsoever.
Working like a charm and also using greenify and exi without issues. Quite a stable beta so far. No further modules tested.
Xposed FTW!
SDK 26 OP3 Open Beta 29 working good until now...
Next: trying modules
YouTube Background Playback working...
It works on OnePlus 3t on Validus 8.1 rom, though when I tried uninstalling xposed (through the app and TWRP) I got stuck in bootloop. I don't know if it's the rom or framework problem. I'll check what happens on Oxygen OS later
Working in Redmi Note 4 mido (Cardinal AOSP 8.1), confirmed
Installed the Xposed SDK27 Magisk module, but the Xposed Installer is showing that framework isn't installed.

Nevermind, saw a Magisk specific installer here https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-systemless-xposed-t3388268. Installed that and it detects the framework now.
Update: Had to use this installer (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75139549&postcount=2516) to download modules. The one I previously mentioned was crashing when you would click a module to download.

They look exactly the same. I was under the impression that rovo89 just made DVD's the official one...? What's the difference between the two? There are no visual differences that I can see.
Works on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x (mido) (SnapDragon) with Pixel Experencie (SDK 27)

Greenify disabled doze for me (yes even with aggressive doze) so I would recommend for you to wait a little bit longer till the modules were updated

Xposed using Magisk on Note 8 (N950F) LightROM with S9 Port

Hi,
I wish to install xposed via magisk over my note 8 n950F model, I am using LightROM (03/July/2018 release) with S9 Port, please share what procedure to do so.
Further, I know it breaks Safetynet but uninstalling xposed at a later stage will get me the safetynet pass again is that correct?
Thanks.

Xposed on Redmi Note 7

I've installed the latest Magisk and then installed Xposed (EdXposed) following the instructions found on the GitHub https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposed
While EdXposed Installer reports the framework is active with the green tick, None of my modules are working.
I'm using GravityBox [O] (edxposed version) and Whatsapp Extensions and they don't work as intended. On Whatsapp my mods aren't being aplied and my online status is visible and GravityBox simply reports "GravityBox system framework not responding. Exiting".
The Magisk Modules I installed to get EdXposed working where:
Riru - Core v17.1
Riru - Ed Xposed v0.3.7_beta
I now realize MIUI10 is android P so that would explain why Gravity Box wouldn't work, but the error I'm having is with the EdXposed framework that claims to be compatible with Android P and even Q

That one made for Android 8.x Oreo won't gona work in Android 9 Pie due to framework changes.
