Wow. It is really a good news to have RR Rom . However it is for Honor, or it will also support Mate 10(Pro) like lineage 15.1? does xposed, magisk work on it? can not wait for flashing it. I use RR Rom for my previous Oneplus 3T for a long time and it is really a fantastic ROM.
It's treble, so it should work.

99.9% if not 100% of what's working on the Honor View 10 is working on the M10pro.
Can anyone tell me if dual camera works on all of those treble roms out there? Or is it possible to just install apk of stock camera on such rom? That's my only concern to try them.
I think the Lineage based ROMs (which includes RR) currently have problems running the stock camera app.
However, on the treble AOSP you can install it yourself, while the OpenKirin's AOSP https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-view-10/development/rom-t3753603
already comes with a version of the stock camera app.
Edit: you can probably make it work on LineageOS, see: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...-camera-app-treble-roms-t3735169/post75685083

I haven't personally, but I would advise holding out on doing any OS changes for a bit as Huawei is doing/changing something with their xloader's in their rom and it's causing quite a few bricks. I'd figure out which xloader you're using first, and deciding if it's worth it to go to another rom before eventually making your return back and to a possible brick.

Hey guys,
I guess this is interesting for a bunch of you.
I flashed RR-O v6.0.0 20189492 bkl OpenKirin on my Mate 10 Pro (blanc) BLA-L09 8.0.0.128(C55) taken from getroidtips.
I was screwing arround with my phone, got it soft-bricked (StockRom and Lineage wouldn't work anymore) and RR was the only thing getting it to work. So at this point I am more or less forced to use it.
Generally, I am very happy with it. After a fresh boot, I have about 2.5-2.7GB of the RAM used, which is decent. Systemapps are working fluent and without major problems (a small buglist is appended below). However, sometimes the phone locks up for a few seconds (opening and closing the taskmanager returns the phone back to normal).
However, there are a few things that are not working!
- WLAN hotspot: I am able to create a hotspot (so it is visible from a PC), I can even connect to it, but the phone doesn't bridge to Internet. Equally, the description on the phone just says "Error".
- Inside of the camera (which is working great!!), pressing the last-image button on the bottom left opens the gallery. However, when the gallery opens up, the entire screen goes black. If I open the task manager and the select the camera app, the screen returns to the last image as it should do in the beginning. I tried changing the default gallery app to google fotos, but the behaviour is the same.... a little anoying but whatever...
- bluetooth headset: the volume control buttons on the phone do not change the output of the bluetooth device
Anyhow, so far I am ok with the system: not very impressed but I can live with it.
Does anybody know, if there is a way to update the system without needing to flash the entire system.img?
Would it be feasible to flash the official RR kirin build on it?
For some reason I am not sure the "OpenKirin" team will solve the above bugs anytime soon....

Does P20 Pro supports Project Treble?

...or it will lack of updates like previous Huawei phones?

Any phone released with Android 8.0 or later (this will have 8.1), has to support treble as standard.
No idea what updates will be like but I hear that the bootloader will be unlockable and phh plans to support the P20 pro from a treble ROM perspective.
No idea about kernel sources being released by Huawei and therefore how long it might take for twrp and/or custom kernels to be built.

It never lack updates. Even mate 10 has plenty of updates.
What it lack is, an easy way to modify something.
Example,
I havent jump to this phone yet, because there's no root method available yet.
And android without root equal to : too many pain in the *ss, lol
Excuse me for being a paranoid Android, but with Huawei's past reputation on updates ..
Would it be possible for somebody to do the adb check and paste the results back here please

It supports (checked on p20 pro c432 dual sim)
So the question is.
Has anyone successfully flashed a treble ROM on the P20 Pro?
Did it everything work?
How did you do it?
I've flashed several via twrp, flash system image.
None worked.
I've read that the twrp versions we have are incapable of wiping completely.
Not only that but if you've modified the phone, IE: root etc it won't work.
Obviously you need to be able to flash the system IMG but by what method is it going to be successful?
Had tried los, dotos and cosmic all booted fine. Haven't had time to play with these roms though. I like the dotos design but I can't set-up fingerprint.
I flashed the images via fastboot.

Encryption and flashing

Im still thinking of getting a Mi 9 in place of mine n my girls poco, was wondering how it works flashing and disabling encryption. On poco everytime you flash a vendor encryption will happen on first boot unless you flashh disable encryption, how does it work on Mi 9? If im encrypted is it enough to just remove passwords before launching twrp? or is there twrp that supports encryption?
Also using otg instead of sd?
I rather aosp roms, my girl loves xiaomi.eu and well probably use them both till i can find stable aosp roms (PE is advancing well and i saw an LOS rom on telegram.

You still need to flash disable force encryption everytime you update vendor. Yes, there are twrp images that support encryption and otg, that's how I do it. Have a look around the forum for supported versions. I came from poco too, bought the transparent edition with 12GB ram, still waiting patiently for a decent AOSP rom good for daily use. Device has been out for a while now tho, still progression is slow. Not complaining, just stating the facts! I was hoping for more rom choice by this time, hope the device support doesn't get lost with new devices coming out all the time. I even thought of selling this one to go one plus 7 Pro, there seems to be a lot more support and rom choice there.
But yeah. I really hope a stable pe rom or others come out soon!

thanks for the reply man,
when i got my poco it was out already for 6 months and there were plenty of roms. Here mi9 is out 4 months and nothing stable.. i know it's alot of work, just saying. Mi8 has great rom support so i assume there will be here also.
Try to give a look at Beastroms, there is a 3d in Guide, News, etc. It seems more stable than PE

Is it possible to install two roms in the Xiaomi Mi A2?

TL;DR: I wanted to install an Android 9 Rom on my phone alongside the stock Android 10 Rom in order to use GLTools.
So, the question is basically on the title. But the reason that I want to install two Roms on my phone is GLTools. Since GLTools' developer didn't release an Android 10 compatible version of his app while it was under development, Thus can't use it, since my phone is on the latest firmware. Now, I mainly wanted to play Fortnite on my phone (Please don't judge me?). I'm open to other solutions tho, like any GLTools alternative compatible with Android 10. (Ps. Phone is rooted with Magisk)
AFAIK, Dual boot custom ROMs were possible on some devices but that was before introduction of SAR A/B Devices. While theoretically, newer devices have separate A/B partitions and hence could have separate ROMs I believe it is an issue of shared libraries/partitions being used by the device which might mess up things.
But then I am neither a developer nor a gamer so the entire theory could be wrong !

Modifying mbn files with AOSP rom

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to modify mbn file to allow for vowifi with carriers that dont provide it. I followed the following post to allow my mi 9 running miui 12 to work with vowifi https://community.oneplus.com/thread?id=1284987 I am looking to update to an android 12 aosp rom but I am unable to use the same procedure since there is no diag port on aosp rom. Is there a workaround for this ? Another procedure or a way to enable diag port ? this is my last hope before giving up on this since I tried almost everything and I cant find posts on xda that talk about this. Thank you.

Which ROM do you use?
Please try official PixelOS (recommended) or Lineage Beta by SebaUbuntu.
These are the only AOSP ROMs with working VoWifi. (at least in my case)

I tried all the MI9 available roms android 12 and pixel experience for android 11. sadly I cant get vowifi to work with any of them. I get the volte working but not vowifi. It seems like I need to do the method in that link. Are you also using freedom mobile in Canada ?

Unfortunately opening diag port seems impossible on aosp.
I've tried every possible way to do it, as i had the same problem like you.
On MiUi, vowifi works for you?

Yeah it works but only after I write the mbn file using EfsTools. It sucks honestly that I am stuck with miui. I also tried everything but thought I would post here as a last hope maybe someone has a workaround to get it working.
