My rog phone 2 tencent (ww rom) hanging on Battelle royal in call of duty
This problem happening on Android 9 (every 40 minute) and Android 10 ( every 10 minutes)
Any body have this problem?
Please said your rog model and is too
I have the similar problem with COD battle royal mode. It hangs. I have 12gb/512gb version, no root nothing. This problem is there on Android 9. After updating to Android 10 I haven't tested it.
It's a known issue in the game. Not related to the phone but game itself

I have the same. ROG II, Tencent to WW. Set all graphics to medium, on A9 black screen once at 2-3 days. Upgraded A9 to A10 - black screen every 20 minutes. Downgraded back to A9.

No in Android 10 every 10 or 20 minutes black screen or hanging not related to game
This hang completely depend to is
Asus can resolve this bug
In Android 9 the issue doesn't happen?

The Android 10 update sucks. UI is consistently laggy. COD mobile frame drops like craz, and after a couple of games spazzes out uncontrollably and gives black screen.
Asus has really botched the A10 stable update even after 10 betas. Such a shame
How did you downgrade to 9 . Can I just put 9 in internal storage and it will downgrade ?

Couldn't agree more. The battery life has also been downhill. We could have waited a couple of weeks more for an optimized update.

Hi everyone I have a MI MAX 2 and I am thinking about the MI Max 3. Jut curious is it worth the upgrade.
Also will the Mi Max 2 get OREO officially via MIUI
I would rather upgrade to honor note 10 tbh. Better camera, flagship CPU, amoled display, nfc, ufs storage, etc

Thats not worth if you already have Mi max 2 already. If you just want to have upgrade android version.
Simple buy mi a2 android one.
You will get all the android updates quick then to other device.
Even Android P (Pie) too.

Like you i love this phone and i like to buy it. But because of HiSiliCon CPU i'm sure this phone won't recieve any Lingea OS custome rom.
I prefer to buy a phone with SnapDragon CPU.

Sadly, it's confirmed that the bootloader of the honor note 10 cannot be unlocked, so it's near impossible for a lineage OS or any custom ROM to be on the note 10.

correct. ALL Huawei and Honor phones from now on onwards will have locked bootloaders that cannot be unlocked. and thats the very first step u need for custom roms. so thats it for alternative software, its ALL stock.

For that price
I think max 2 with some mods and custom kernel will give same experience for now

my redmi note 5 pro shipped with 7.1 but last week I had an update to MIUI 9 with android 8.1.
The same with my mother Redmi 5 plus (snapdragon 625), now updated to MIUI 9 with android 8.1
Is there any chance for Mi Max 2?
A bit OOT but just bought a Mi Max 2 4/64 for only US$170, Mi Max 3 4/64 is $260. I didn't think it was worth it, esp I dislike tall screens n non capacitive buttons

My Max 2 is fantastic with an OC to 2.8GHz, no need to worry about ARB and China version.
In fact, I'm buying another Max 2 :laugh:

It was just Huawei who stopped provide us the unlock code. But if we still wanna take some benefits from the a unlocked device, we can spend a few bucks (about €5, I used it 2yrs ago) to use DCUnlocker's service. Sometimes, Huawei's unlock website has been down due to the maintaining, so I switched to DCU (I'm a patient user :silly:, unless the website down when I got a new phone :laugh, and one more thing,l: I hope that DCU will not increase the price of the unlock service :laugh:
P/s: @jbmc83 , I'm asking a ETA, but can you update me on the info about P for Max2 :laugh:. This time of year is my high demand sale season, I don't have enough time for my online-life -__-. Thanks.

I've upgraded to Mi Max 3 and compared it with Mi Max 2. Take a look here
Here are the main differences of Xiaomi Mi Max 3 (comparing to Mi Max 2):
18:9 aspect ratio;
a bit thicker but more comfortable to keep in a hand;
slightly better screen;
improved performance;
fingerprint sensor works a bit faster;
better camera;
bigger battery.

funny thing though: due to the bigger screen, the MM3 actually seems to sport less battery life than the MM2, even though its got a slightly larger battery capacity. thats according to reviews and user reports.

Hello.
I got a new redmi k20 pro and flashed a mi 9t pro global rom on it.
The device works great , but it heats up quite a lot.
For example after like 3 minutes of playing pubg the device is quite hot, or when charging or after a few minuts of facebook use.
Is it normal?
Thank's.
It's normal. Especially if you play games on it or use it while it's charging. The problem would be if you don't feel it's hot, meaning, the heat dissipation doesn't work as it should.

As long as you stay at 30-40°C on your battery, it doesn't matter at all. When you use your device while charging it and the battery already hit 43 or even more °C I would defintiely start worrying about it though
I am not talking about using the device while charging. It happens when the device is not charging , like few minutes of gaming and the device already feels quite hot.
For example my brother's oneplus 7 stays alot more cooler then my device.

Doesnt sound right. Mine barely gets warm to the touch while playing pubg etc. Mi 9T pro
Is there any app that I can check the temps after few minutes of gaming just to compare to other devices?
Edit: I downloaded an app called cpu monitor.
After about 10 minutes of playing pubg the cpu temp was 46.
Is that normal?
46 ist ok. You can check and compare with the app throttlestop if your phone throttles faster (= heats up quicker) than other peoples phone. Please note, you can only compare the exact same phone for valid results.
just tested a arcade game till chicken dinner , not sure how many mins but max was 35 ,measure on cpu-z app , k20 pro , china rom

clean install ... on andorid9 i was like day and half with batery now on 10 hardly a day ..
Heres mine.. with data on almost 8 hours. I got almost 6h+ sot.
With latest battery usage graphics I can't understand clearly my screen on time since latest charge: the value is only showed for single day. It's quite annoying.

Battery life / phone performance
Is battery life and phone performance in general after the update to Android 10 at least the same as on Android 9 or you have seen a decrease in battery life / performance?

I don't know man. It's so hit or miss I gave up trying to keep track of it. Some days I got 6 hours(VERY HEAVY USAGE), other days I got 10-12(ALSO VERY HEAVY USAGE).
Note that I am on the beta of N960U1.

To me after switching to android10 the battery can barely last 24 hours and the screen on it barely comes in up to 4 hours ... but barely
Went feom 6 hrs sot to just above 5 hrs on the January update of Q.
I update to android 10 2 days ago and the battery is terrible.im hoping it takes a week to improve .like it did when we installed android 9 pie
My battery life is definitely worse than it was before the update. Probably I should reset the phone.
I have updated my Note9 to Android 10 24hrs ago and so far everything is great. Battery life has not decreased significantly. Performance is at least the same if not better. I did not factory reset the phone yet.
All other features work as before (LED notifications, bluetooth, etc.) Gestures work fine, for me it is an extra value, but it depends on a user if they provide better UX depending on type of usage, hand size, etc.
I will report more after 1 week.
For me I down graded to the lastest android pie version 9.because firtly the screen on time dropped from 8 hours to 5 ,plus I really dont like the new screen colour balance in. Adaptive mode .when you turn the slider from cool to warm in adapative mode it's now goes from blue to brownish yellow.instead of on android 9 where the slider goes from green at cool and pinkish at warm.samsung have made the screen like the note 10 plus screen now via this update.i dont like that as I keep my phone on the warm setting and that yellowish look is not appealing. Also found a bug in the calendar your calendar entry dissaper sometimes and you have to swipe up on the calendar to make them appear again.annoying
The adaptive screen mode slider on android 9 pie is much nicer the screen looks way better in pie than in android q 10.there is only one thing I hate on android pie 9 and that's your recent apps close over night and leave you with 3 or 4 left.this is fixed in android 10 confirmed
android 9/10 uses adaptive battery usage. When you install/update newer OS then it restart learning. give it 10-20 days and it will be back to its normal usage or even better.
Guys my region is INDIA...I need to buy a phone with a smooth display and moderate gaming
I liked every aspect of these phone but everyone after Android 10 update they say so buggy, not charging,batter issue, game automatically closes and so on.....In INDIA Implementing 5g soon is not possible and now 5g phones are so expensive.....So shall and buy Rog Phone 2 Strix edition (Global Edition in India) not a tencent one or should I Wait for some time....kindly share your experience guys ....It may help me..
Have a Nice Day
For some users android 10 had issues! For me too! But they launched another update after android 10 which fixed almost every problem I had! No heating, no automatic clossing apps, the battery is as good as new! So U can go for this phone! Its a beast!
Er... Im on Android 10 Beta 12... No issues at all...
Me too, no issues at all with latest A10 update
I got my k20 pro today finally and i can feel that my device gets warm pretty warm and that too pretty fast even in normal usage scenario, The top Portion only feels really warm not the lower side even screen feels warm.
Is it common for all k20 pro's or i just might return it to flipkart.
I felt that on miui 12,10 as well as 11 on which i am currently.Also weirdly the temps keeps dropping as i keep using it but for a sudden it becomes quite warm.
So is it a kernel issue then i will change the kernel and then see if it is.
gets warm for first 3 days after a update then settles to a heavenly smotheness then afterwards
MIUI optimizations going on in background
i have been using this since jan
am on miui eu beta so update every week first couple of hours and then it settles specially after a big update
i remember it being warm for 3 days when i got it new in jan then when upgraded to miui 12 or any major updates or even after complete factory wipe
