I've been diving into blockchain and its uses for a few weeks now and I believe I have wrapped my head around an idea that can be developed and marketed and serve a great purpose to the general public. Thing is I'm useless with coding and creation. I just had the idea. I'm very hesitant to let this cat out of the bag because I believe an experienced developer with no scruples will take it and run. Any ideas how to begin to sift this out? I can tell you I'm no programmer with very little resource who loves blockchain and decentralization and mobile connectivity. Please send an email to {Mod edit} if you would like to hear a basic breakdown of this idea. I will be discussing it no further publicly.
Thanks for listening, not expecting much.

Hello, I'm a retired German Airforce officer and aviator. Age as provided in my profile. Priority takes my wife and our family, followed by nothing for quite a while, and then... a lot of different things you do after retirement.
Meanwhile I'm sqeezing XDA somewhere in but certainly high on my list of preferences. Currently (and most likely it won't change anymore) living in the most Westerly part of Germany, about 1 km to the Dutch border.
Being a moderator now for nearly two years and mainly dealing with Oneplus, HTC, Oppo, Asus, Nokia, ZTE and Realme device fora but a few Google devices are also in my Area of Responsibility. Actually, I still feel being pretty new at XDA, just joined in April 2016 when I got my first Samsung GT-i9305 that I wanted to root. Nearly immediately I've recognised that I could learn so much at XDA, and at a specific point I was even able to support and assist other members. This has quickly not only become fun but almost addiction and destiny what developed to RC status. And at some point I then decided to apply as moderator and felt honoured when I was accepted; a step that I've never regretted.
As it's applicable to all moderators, admins and XDA staff also my inbox is always open although I might not respond immediately. But never hesitate to contact me - and anybody else of our team - in case of any question or if support and assistance is required! We're here for your benefit.
Stay safe and stay healthy!
Regards & Horrido!

Always great to see you on the XDA boards!

Hallo Markus,
that's indeed not very far away. We live somewhere in the (at least in Germany meanwhile well known) District ("Kreis") Heinsberg but "our" 7-day-incidences are below 50 for nearly a week.
The Bäckerei Büsch (bakery Büsch) has quite a lot of stores in our vicinity, and I really like their products.
EDIT (2021-03-17): I was too fast... We're back above 50...
love to see older people using and adapting new tech, not everyone's boomer.
my mother have harder time how to open a browser on phone, and you who are probably proud grandfather and know how to root phone, what interesting concept.
hope you enjoy retirement in health

I still have to apologise... I just checked all reports that came in but I didn't find any you've raised. Please help me out; you can also go via PM: What did you report that I claimed to be a false one?
Oswald Boelcke, you have so many cool WW2 relics there to explore, many left forgotten and overgrown. Not to give ideas what to do in retirement but the abandoned industrial plants there are also incredible.

@castor2020 Thanks very much for your notification above. However, please be aware that the whole moderators team consists out of volunteers who do this "job" for free besides their real lifes, real family and friends, real business and occupations. Pinging a moderator or even a private messages doesn't guarantee an immediate reaction as the concerned moderator might be "out of town" for days like @Badger50 probably was.
In these cases (and I'm really grateful for your report) I suggest to only use the report function as it alerts the "next available moderator on duty" and should ensure timely action.

Understood.
Hello everyone, I come through this post my revolt with a situation of a friend of the group. He had Oneplus 10 Pro in brick, he paid for a guy who impersonates the XDA groups and forum, the guy didn't do the service, he didn't solve the problem and he didn't return the money, he just gave a blow. here are the screenshots and proof that he didn't return the money

Don't pay these people... Unless you can obtain the tool with log in from them.
Certainly wouldn't recommend someone profiting from a service / tool that is meant to be free.

@TrajanoX3 Although I understand your frustration and anger and your intention to warn other XDA users, I had to close the thread and to remove the attached screenshots. As it occurred outside of XDA (e.g. in social media like Telegram) we don't allow that rant from there is taken to XDA.
However, if it's a XDA member who uses XDA as a platform to make money, please provide me the username privately via PM and we'll have a look into it although we won't be able to get you your money back. Alternatively, you can report any suspicious post. Thanks very much.

Hi there,
Is there any channel on the forum that enables member to discuss about the thread posting or moderation?
Or shall members keep it in private with moderators?
It is a pity that personal judgement weighed over rules.
[CLOSED] Question on thread posting
Hi there, I firstly posted two questions in the original thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-other-directory-than-platform-tools.4536847/ Question 1: would it be possible to adb pull partition (ex. userdata) to any other location than...
forum.xda-developers.com
Please refer to the relevant rules of the forum.
Thanks in advance.

Hello @wenyendev
I'm surprised about your above questions as I think I'd already clearly provided you with the answers in my announcement in your closed thread that you've linked. However, as a non-native English tongue I don't want to rule out that my English skills are too weak to have expressed it well enough. In case of further questions, feel free to contact me or @TNSMANI like I've already suggested in the linked thread by private message (PM).

I can assure you that all moderators know the rules of this private website very well and that all have the capability to assess, which rules are relevant in a specific case.
And I'm grateful that you share your personal assessment "that personal judgement weighed over rules." I like to refine that statement that any moderator's assessment and judgement is always based on and driven by the forum rules. If you've any doubts about this and don't want to contact the respective moderator by PM, you can always complain at any Senior Moderator of your desire (names available here) or at the @Moderator Committee.

Hi Oswald Boelcke,
Thanks for your clarification and following me.
I said "personal judgement" simply because no rules were explicitly cited for the closure of my two threads, for example, whether members shall discuss about thread moderation in the forum or contact moderators in PM.
Thanks for your consideration.

@wenyendev I appriciate your explanation and now understand better.
Different then e.g. the laws and rules in my country and society, the rules of this private website, which were implemented by the owners of the website, are indeed not written just black or white. The rules - at the same time guidance for the website's user - are supposed to be easily readable i.e. in a limited scale with "only" 16 paragraphs and not intended to provide for all contingencies. For this reason, every moderator is happy willing to close related gaps and to explain his decision if asked by a private message. None of us moderators would deny such a request with the argument that XDA is a private website and the XDA staff doesn't owe any user a justification.
And please allow me a private remark as somebody who looks back onto already nearly 67 years of life: It's quite often much more successful to demand something privately instead of going into the public.

Hi Oswald Boelcke,
Thanks for your reply.
Alas, I could only express my regret that my threads were closed not by the rules of the forum but by personal arbitration.
Regards,
PS: I appreciate your frankness on English language. In the era of television, image often pretends to be more grandiose than message. A true Master may not necessarily master language, for example, Mingyur Rinpoche. : )
Looks like a DM could've clarified this but I see the tongue and cheek and appreciate a smirk haha
