I'm on the China rom and just updated to the newest realmeui with beta. I've realised the recents app isn't working.
Is it because I removed the default launcher and using Nova or something else?
Seems like the recent only works with OPPO Launcher. I've now reinstalled the launcher... but now i see "no recent task" no matter what I do..
Ok.. I've re installed launcher. Changed to system launcher restart. Change back to Nova launcher.
And works now.

Hey Guys
i have a problem installing nova launcher prime. i cannot install it over the standard nova launcher, thats how much i know
i have the cm10 by pengus which comes with nova launcher and smart launcher.
but i cannot uninstall the nova launcher...i tried it with root uninstaller and deleted the apk in the system/app folder and every other nova folder i found...
the nova prime apk is on my sd card and when i try to install it it tells my that it cannot be installed (because there must be something left of the normal nova launcher...)
how can i get rid of the nova launcher wenn its so deep in the system? i cannot post in pengus ROM thread because i dont have enough posts...
from my experience with apex launcher:
1. you have to have 2 launchers installed
2. switch to the one you don't want to uninstall
3. uninstall the one you want (standard procedure: settings > apps > uninstall)
4. install the new version of the launcher
5. switch to the new launcher
at least this is how i do it when updating the Apex launcher gives me errors...
Hi guys,
I recently updated to Emui 3.0 and I'd like to use Nova launcher as my default launcher and not the huawei launcher (it sucks), but when I go to the apps menu to clear the defaults for the Huawei launcher, it's greyed out. I tried to force Nova launcher to be the default launcher but when I press the circle navigation button it still returns to the Huawei launcher. I also tried rebooting into what I think is the Huawei bootloader menu to clear the cache, but that didn't accomplish anything. Anyone have any ideas ? Thanks!

I'm also using Nova, works perfectly.
Anyway do this:
Install Google Now Launcher
Tap home button and it will ask to set default launcher.
If incase it doesn't then goto default launcher app setting and clear defaults.
Then tap the Home button again.
Is any one using Snapchat in Moto E4 plus? Coz I am having lag in Snapchat.
Why google now launcher when you have the pixel launcher..
Ok , i found a solution similar to your problem . Open Google app Info and clear data and cache and force stop , again open launcher info and do the same reboot and all should be good you will be able to Replace the stock Launcher from that to google Now Launcher

Nope
Did not work. Just made me have to fix what I had on the screens.
I'm currently running Oreo Nephelim v1.2 ROM, with the recommended GApps installed.
Google calendar is installed from the Play Store and the month widget on my homescreen works just fine.
When placing the planner widget from Calendar on the homescreen is throws an error: "problem loading widget".
I have seems this issue on other Oreo ROMs I had installed previously.
Is there anyway to get the planner widget up and running? I really like to have that.
Thanks for your help and replies!

Same boat as you. I tried Beltz and the widgets worked fine. Doesn't work on Nephelim 1.2 or 1.3 for me.
Which launcher are you using?
I'm on pixel launcher.
I already tried an older version of Nova and on that the widget works just fine. But I don't want to use that launcher.

I always use the latest Nova beta version.
Nephelim v1.3 using Google launcher; widget month and planner for Google calendar works.
I'll be flashing v1.3 shortly then.
Hello,
i have root my Amazon Fire 7 (gen.9) with this Manual.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/orig-development/fire-7-2019-mustang-unbrick-downgrade-t3944365
Now i want to use the nova launcher permanent.
I download the nova launcher from the Google Playstore and install it.
No i have the problem, that after reboot or after i press den home button the standard Amazon Fire Launcher automatically is present.
In the Nova-Settings its shown that it is not fixed as standard. But i cant change this under "standard apps". there i just the Browser-App.
What should I do that the nova launcher is standard.
Thank you very much
Greetings

Easiest thing is to uninstall or disable the stock launcher. Package disabler from the playstore worked well for me. I moved on to lineage now though..

What is the name of the stock launcher? Where can i found the stock launcher to uninstall is?
I wanted to backup and uninstall the stock launcher with Titanium Backup. If i search within Titanium Backup with the search term "launcher" it it displayed:
"Home Pages 1.3...."
"Nova Launcher 6.2.12"
"Pixel Launcher 8.1.0-4429924"
"Pixel Launcher 7.1.2"

For launcher change, install a 3rd party launcher (lawnchair2 for example) then use this to disable the stock..
com.amazon.firelauncher
I use package disabler to shut it off, that way if you need it, it is still there.
Or you can do from a ab shell PM disable com.amazon.firelauncher

I dont found the com.amazon.firelauncher.
But i disabled (with Tintanium Backup) the App "Home Pages 1.3.203256.0_23012710". After that i could choose between the "nova launcher" and the "Pixel Launcher". So i choos the nova launcher and it worked. Even after a reboot.
I hope it stays that way
Thank you very much.
