I just took the ROM NottachTrix4G, tweaked it a little more, improved the busybox, improved gps lock and deblured it a little, I'm sharing it just in case someone needs a stock rom deblured and tweaked. its a zip flashable made with ROM factory (thanks to schwarzlichtkind)
It comes with faux 1.45 kernel but any GINGERBREAD (2.3.4/5/6) Kernel 2.6.32.59 can be used

Just flash by recovery, full wipe is recommended if want to preserve data wipe dalvik and fix permissions
Couldn't get it to boot
Had trouble getting it to boot (with and without a data wipe). Wouldn't even make it to the boot animation.
Have you tried to use ROM factory to create a zip? It preserves nearly everything except personal data. I would like to try to it out, but don't like to change my recovery...

Always a pleasure. Afaik ROM factory only has(had?) problems with supercharging - it's a damn good tool for the not so experienced cooker/modder.
If you succeed in creating a proper flashable zip, I'll definitely going to try this one out. I'm on maxBLUR v5 right now but I hate the fact that it has no native German language support. No German keyboard layout sucks...

If you have flashed another firmware, you probably have those issues: battery percentage not working, camera autofocus not working, low signal strenght. If not, stay on your firmware.

How to install:
-reboot to recovery
-wipe whatever u want, (i wipe dalvik and cache cos i'm dirty )
-mount everything u can tick such as firmware and system
-install firmware
-afterwards factory reset is recommended although not must cos we R dirty
-install your rom/gapps/kernel whatever
-reboot and say thanks!!

Dirty = dirty flash, not wipe everything, aka 'flash over' cos we lazy to backup and restore stuff's

Download the latest fastboot version of the latest firmware. Compare to see what's in these flashable firmwares and check the Images directory of the fastboot firmware. Copy them over to the flashable zip. That's probably the easiest way.

Maybe the easiest way to do that by downloading custom miui rom like multirom, xiaomi.eu, epic, etc as ur wish then, extract only the firmware-update and meta inf, inside meta inf look for updater-script and edit it with any kind of text based app editor like notepad++ or else, or the meta inf you can take from the strix cm14 firmware, or psyman, etc. Finally repack it again, using rar, 7zip, or else, with .zip format. And enjoy.

Verify MD5 of each file, or CRC32. You can easily verify CRC32 using WinRAR.

Sorry, the ROM is as is it. You can put the original systemui app, but you will lost a lot of features.

4. Reboot to recovery
5. flash RR luis rom 6.1 and wipe caches and data and reboot the rom.
6. now reboot in recovery mode.
7. click on install-- install image and select PsGSI.img (don't reboot)
8. Now Mount vendor in recovery
9. Flash POST-sGSI zips from 1 to 3 in priority
10. Reboot
On first boot your phone will give errors and it will be very laggy,,, do not panic.
install downloaded gsm.apk . it will fix errors and your rom will be super smooth.

its quite good rom for daily use if you will manage without VOLTE. Battery backup is decent and rom works as sooth as butter.

If im correct, it means our devs have just to work on /vendor so we can flash gsi of ROMs that aren't built specific for santoni. Also updating hardware related things are completely independent of Rom Updates.
I understand more now, how difficult it is for devs.

i got bootloops on my phone with lineage os15.1 vendor.
luis rom vendor works well with p gsi img.
i am using Los treble by swapnil bro, as base rom..
its working fine.. no issues at all..
dont neglect to keep Playstore apk ready after you boot, else it would be nuisance

Yup stable enough, some small bugs are there like cannot turn Bluetooth and WiFi on at the same time and YouTube seems to stutter.
Other than that everything works fine. Does heat up a little bit though.

I am just compiling all the information / files available on different websites into this thread, I have patched together with cyber spit, bubblegum, and tape, for a pretty much fully working Miui 10 PIE running rom. I have removed what I believe to be all of the bloat. Worked to modify a working miui pie vendor. Magisk 19.4 installer is all ready included as well as the modified boot for root access. The playstore installer is also included for a fully functioning playstore.
All Credit goes to respective developer/s included in the install.txt within the zip file. I request XDA moderator and or Developer of Respective files to let me know if I have forgotten to mentioned (give credit) their name in this thread. The Download Links are given directly from respective Developer/s.
You need the following two files to Test MIUI PIE on Mi Max 2 (Oxygen). This ROM recovery is ported from the Xiaomi MM3 with many patches and customized from various sources. This ROM maybe Stable enough for your daily use on Mi Max 2. I have access to two MM2 4/64 Global versions using a 1tb sd card one on At&t the other on Tmobile and all features I need are currently working.

First step:
Start your phone into recovery and Flash a Treble recovery, if already not flashed. Restart into Recovery.
Click Wipe then Advance wipe and clear System, Vendor, Boot, Data, Cache, and Dalvick cache. No need to wipe internals per txt.
Second step:
Now Extract the Downloaded Rom files in Recovery backup folder. You should know where and how to Extract. (Use extract tool for android or pc then copy paste to recovery backup folder.)
Third step:
Click Restore and Select System, Boot, Vendor and Swipe to confirm. Wait for restore to complete. If any errors, Reboot recovery and try again. Or Mount the System, Vendor, Boot and try again. After Restore completes Reboot. Please allow 3-5 Minutes for first boot.
What works:
Cell Service, Wifi 5ghz/2.4ghz, Bluetooth, Torch, Camera, Fingerprint, Sound, Auto Brightness, On Screen & HW buttons.
Now verified from users : LTE , Face unlock.
What doesn't work:
Some people can't log in to Xiaomi account ( I do not use it, So I can not verify either or).
I do not have dual 4G sims so I can not verify if its working. There may be potential signal problems for some user but I didn't faced in USA with Tmobile, Or AT&T operators.
Eye protection mode/ reading mode 100% does not work, But similar apps available within the play store.
Since base MIUI PIE rom is Chinese version no Gapps included. To get Play store DO NOT flash Gapps. Run Play.Store.Installer (Included)
Guys, this is a nearly perfect MIUI PIE package for our lovely Xiaomi Mi Max 2 (Oxygen).

only vendor is necessary and no need to wipe internal storage.
vendor will be restore from rom installation file.
I flashed the rom.
Every app from google playstore ask for wifi setup inorder to get installed .( To fix that change settings from download app)

V5 kernel is 3.18.140, with lots of optimization from base..

I am just compiling all the information / files available on different websites into this thread, I have patched together with cyber spit, bubblegum, and tape, for a pretty much fully working Miui 10 PIE running rom. I have removed what I believe to be all of the bloat. Worked to modify a working miui pie vendor. Magisk 19.4 installer is all ready included as well as the modified boot for root access. The playstore installer is also included for a fully functioning playstore.
All Credit goes to respective developer/s included in the install.txt within the zip file. I request XDA moderator and or Developer of Respective files to let me know if I have forgotten to mentioned (give credit) their name in this thread. The Download Links are given directly from respective Developer/s.
You need the following two files to Test MIUI PIE on Mi Max 2 (Oxygen). This ROM recovery is ported from the Xiaomi MM3 with many patches and customized from various sources. This ROM maybe Stable enough for your daily use on Mi Max 2. I have access to two MM2 4/64 Global versions using a 1tb sd card one on At&t the other on Tmobile and all features I need are currently working.

First step:
Start your phone into recovery and Flash a Treble recovery, if already not flashed. Restart into Recovery.
Click Wipe then Advance wipe and clear System, Vendor, Boot, Data, Cache, and Dalvick cache.
Second step:
Now Extract the Downloaded Rom files in Recovery backup folder. You should know where and how to Extract. (Use extract tool for android or pc then copy paste to recovery backup folder.)
Third step:
Click Restore and Select System, Boot, Vendor and Swipe to confirm. Wait for restore to complete. If any errors, Reboot recovery and try again. Or Mount the System, Vendor, Boot and try again. After Restore completes Reboot. Please allow 3-5 Minutes for first boot.
What works:
Cell Service, Wifi 5ghz/2.4ghz, Bluetooth, Torch, Camera, Fingerprint, Wifi, Sound, Auto Brightness, On Screen & HW buttons. Everything I personally use.
What doesn't work:
Some people can't log in to Xiaomi account ( I do not use it, So I can not verify either or).
I do not have dual 4G sims so I can not verify if its working. There may be potential signal problems for some user but I didn't faced in USA with Tmobile, Or AT&T operators.
Eye protection mode/ reading mode 100% does not work, But similar apps available within the play store.
Since base MIUI PIE rom is Chinese version no Gapps included. To get Play store DO NOT flash Gapps. Run Play.Store.Installer (Included)
Guys, this is a nearly perfect MIUI PIE package for our lovely Xiaomi Mi Max 2 (Oxygen).
If I missed anything in the above, kindly let me know to include. If you make any further updates / patches that makes this ROM more stable / perfect or enables new features, please don't hesitate to message me to include in this thread.
I have an old PC running windows with 8gb max at any one given time, So if you would like to make the recovery image into a flashable zip, I'd be happy to update/add it.
If you would like to use the boot, vendor, system, or any other files, All I ask is pass on the proper credits. With this we should be able to have a fully functioning android Q in the near future (Currently toying around with fair progress in the free time).

You can freely flash on miui pie , it's fully compatible..
What's about echo and in-call volume bugs? Present in this rom?

The in call volume bugs is there and will be there for every each pie rom of max 2, till it get solved by updated source code and that's not possible, so it will be there for ever..
Echo is not present for me and even I gave audio echo fix , long ago..
But the result differs , for some its completely removed the echo, for some it worked partially and they get acceptable echo that is too low , and for some it always there.. so it depends
For me there is not a bit of echo.. after my fix.. remaining issues are with source codes from MI , that is too outdated to fix these issues..
Hotspot doesn't work. USB tethering works.

Horrible built(but not now as devs told me)...
I just tried this ROM. This is the ever built tremendous ROM. Even(everything working perfect) (ignore next line) u can't see ur Google contacts even in official Google contact app. And every stock app are in Chinese language (and love Chinese language coz I m from india). Camera(now working as ppls told me) can't switch between different mods. Just role back(now on havoc 2.8 as mentioned by my new friend from xda but didn't remember his name lol sorry) to new ROM after in few hours. Plz ( do it again and again coz u devs are awesome and sorry for my review on this rom I m noob and don't know anything about dev things)( ignore all negative things from this post) don't do this again without testing custom ROM.
Thank u devs for ur jaw dropping work on custom ROMs.
