Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a variant of the S10 that can be bootloader unlocked, rooted, and a custom rom installed and used on ATT in the US. Maybe the SM-G973F? Thanks

Ok so I see that there's aesop roms for this device, is this the AT&T version?
I know for the AT&T s4 you had to have a certain baseband or modem in order to install custom roms on it.
Is this the case for the S4 active AT&T version? or does it have an unlocked bootloader and ANY version you have you can root/install custom roms?

There are two versions of the Galaxy S4 Active: the U.S./AT&T version (model # SGH-i537) and the international version (model # SGH-i9295). The answer to your question depends entirely on which one you have. As far as I understand the international version has an unlocked bootloader and therefore is capable of running AOSP-based roms, custom recovery, etc.
HOWEVER. If you have the U.S. version i537 (and I suspect you do given you mention AT&T) your bootloader is locked and unfortunately there is nothing you, I, or the devs can do about it. You simply cannot flash AOSP ROMs or recoveries. There is still a way to root this phone and a piece of software called SafeStrap that acts like a custom recovery (nandroid backups, install zips, wipe data, etc.). You can run custom roms, but there's a huge catch: you have to keep the stock kernel and any rom has to be touchwiz-based.

Alright got it, thanks! I was just confused because I remember them announcing it was AT&T exclusive. I didn't know about the international one

Yes, you just need to flash the 4.4.2 modules afterwards.

You can flash any firmware from any region that is exactly for your model.
Use odin for that. But, I don't see any benefit only if the firmware of another region is newer and you can't wait for the update on your tab.
Generally the nordic countries firmwarws are lighter in third party apps.
Dont worry about unlocking device, just go in developer option and enable oem unlock, that's all.
Hi all!
Loving my new device!
I bought it from Gearbest and it's the International version that came with an unlocked bootloader and the Official Global ROM installed (no idea how they unlocked the bootloader).
Just after I booted it for the first time I got the official update to MIUI 10 and everything went perfectly.
My question is: should I reflash the official China ROM and relock the bootloader just to be able to unlock it again on my own? What's the advantage of doing it since it's already unlocked and with an official ROM?
Is it safer? Can I be in trouble in the future if I don't do it?
Sorry for asking this basic question, but this is a new ecosystem for me.
Cheers!

A good question, and yes, if you want to have control of your phone, this is a good idea, but you will wait btw 15-20 days
I have the international S8+ G955F which I have Renovate rom on it. Will the S10+ have a locked bootloader and no ability to root and rom it?
Mine was not a US version and if I pre-order it will be a US version
USA Snapdragons are locked down and cannot be unlocked to date. International Exynos which you had before Have unlockable Bootloaders.
